CHAPTER TWENTY: A good man
IT ALL STARTED WITH A BIG BANG"Sweetheart," he said running his hands through my hair, "I love you, I will always love you. And maybe there will be a day for us, one day where we can be together."
"Why can't we just be together now?"
"Because, we can't hurt him. I can't hurt him. He's my best friend. Beautiful, you have to do the right thing."
"Why does that have to be the right thing, why?" I said hitting his chest lightly with my fist, "Why?"
"Because, my darling, he met you first."
"WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST MEET ME FIRST THEN? WHY IF WE BOTH LOVE EACH OTHER, THEN WHY DIDN'T I MEET YOU FIRST," I shouted angrily crying.
"Shhh," he whispered soothingly clutching me to him, "It's going to be alright."
"NO! IT'S NOT GOING TO BE ALRIGHT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU THAT'S WHY! AND MY HEART CAN'T TAKE BEING WITHOUT YOU!"
I found myself frustrated with myself. Why wasn't he saying that he wanted me and that I should give up Jiyong and be his girl? Why did he have to be so Seunghyun? Seunghyun was always so good, so painfully good.
"SEUNGHYUN, PLEASE!," I said.
"I'm sorry," he said wiping my tears away with his thumb, "I'm sorry but you have to let me be a good man and to be a good man means giving up you."
"FINE THEN! BE A GOOD MAN! I DON'T NEED YOU," I broke away from his arms and ran away.
I was lying. I did need him. I love him so much. It seems though that in this case his friendship wins over love. I just thought that he would just never let me go and yet I was running and he just stood there with a vacant look on his face.
