CHAPTER FOURTEEN: STAY
IT ALL STARTED WITH A BIG BANG
"Seung-hyun. I was just joking with you. Ha ha," I said in a high pitched voice.
He looked at me and raised his eyebrow.
"You are really weird, sometimes. I'll be going then.."
He shut the door, I sighed. I can't believe he fell for that. I felt guilty, Jiyong was always so easily trusting people these days.
The door squeaked, and she walked out rubbing her eyes, her hair all messy. She looked really adorable like this, I hated that.
"Seung-hyun, was that just me dreaming or was Jiyong just here?"
"Uh yeah he was. He was wandering where you were but I lied and said I hadn't seen you. I didn't want him to get the wrong impression."
"Oh alright, I'm glad you did that."
"Why?"
"Oh well I don't want to Jiyong to see my like this," she smiled embarrassed, "I look terrible."
I wanted to tell her how beautiful and adorable she looked but I knew I couldn't.
"You're right, you do look terrible," I smirked.
"You're so mean," she playfully punched me laughing, "you didn't have to tell me that."
"I'm lying anyway, you know you're gorgeous, so shut up."
She smiled that incredibly irresistible smile of hers and blushed gazing up at me. She leaned in, hugging me, her hands gently gripping the back of my shirt and her head rested on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and looked down, so that I was able to see her face.
"How's it going down there, little one?"
She glared at me, annoyed that I had referred to her as little but personally I thought it was a cute name to call her.
"How's it going up there, giant?"
"Pretty good actually."
"Are you better?"
"Yeah, you seem to have cured me somehow."
"I have my methods... Don't you think it's weird?"
"What's weird?"
"That we can be so comfortable like this, that we're so close?"
"But you know that nothing can ever happen between us, you're Jiyong's girl now. I know I can't have you, so don't make me want you more, than I already do, my heart won't be able to take it."
"Oppa, but I like you, I really like you."
"I'm sorry but nothing can happen."
Tears started to stream down her face like raindrops. She glanced up at me, and cried more. I pulled her into me and ran my hand over her head.
"Shh, it's going to be alright, beautiful. Really it is."
"I want you, I don't wan't Jiyong, I don't want anyone else, I just want you."
It was so hard for me, I had to say no, I had to let her go for Jiyong's sake. But then I'd have to sacrifice her happiness, and I'd have to let her go. All I wanted to tell her was that I really liked her too.
"I'm sorry but even if you weren't dating Jiyong, I wouldn't want to date you anyway. You're not really my type of girl."
She pulled away from me crying and ran out the door. I was surprised I was able to lie to her.
