It has been some days after the last time Changmin and Jaejoong had their last date and after Yunho has officially broken up with Jaejoong as well. Changmin never once showed himself in front of both Yunho and Jaejoong, no matter how many times Yunho tried to invite him coming to his place. At the same time, Jaejoong was seemingly as broken as Changmin for Yunho. The latter almost never came out from his room other than to eat his breakfast, lunch, or dinner- and sometimes to know whether Changmin coming there or not.

Trapped in their own painful thoughts, no one even realized that the time has already up.

It was the day when Changmin had to come back to Canberra; leaving his brother and love because of his parent’s demand already. And even though Changmin has told Yunho that his hyung shouldn’t bother to come and bid him a farewell, of course Yunho was still coming nevertheless.

Yunho reached the airport around two hours before the departure time. He was looking at his right and left soon enough, has known Changmin too well to know Changmin’s habit to come pretty much early at the time like this. Soon after Yunho’s eyes have finally found Changmin, he was immediately running towards the other as he called Changmin’s name repetitively.

Changmin heard the call clearly and about to turn his attention towards Yunho’s direction, when the older one has already hugged him tightly. The hug was way too intimate and harsh at the same time, as if Yunho didn’t want to let Changmin going away from his side ever. Changmin was surprised with the sudden hug at first, before finally hugged Yunho back as he recognized the familiar presence.

“Hyung,” greeted Changmin, somehow grateful to know that his hyung still cared enough about him; to the point that he could ignore Changmin’s words to not come and meet him.

“Please, take care of yourself- even better than you’ve done,” Yunho said without releasing his hug. “If there’s anything I can help with, don’t hesitate to tell me; ever. I will always ready for you.”

“I will, Hyung. Thank you so much,” replied Changmin with a slight and thankful smile.

“Changmin, let’s go inside,” interrupted Mrs. Shim; didn’t really bother to show her dislike upon the closeness between Changmin and Yunho.

“I will catch you up later, Umma,” said Changmin while releasing his hug from Yunho and turning his attention towards Mrs. Shim for a second. Of course he knew the hint behind Mrs. Shim’s words- to not talk with Yunho anymore longer, but he didn’t want to get away yet. It might be his last time to see Yunho and he wanted to savor his time. “It’s still two hours before the departure time, after all.”

Mrs. Shim remained in silence for a moment, thinking whether she should force her son to go with her or not. But knowing that Changmin would know better to not run away from her, she was finally sighing in defeat. “Fine,” she said. “One hour then, Changmin.”

After Mrs. Shim has gone completely from Yunho’s sight, the young man was able to take a deep and long breath in relief. He felt sorry towards Changmin for thinking so, but Mrs. Shim’s presence was definitely making Yunho’s whole body got tensed somehow. Maybe it was because Yunho knew that his family was the reason of her son’s disability, or maybe just because it’s Mrs. Shim.

“You sure you can go inside by yourself, Min?” asked Yunho, worrying as it might be inconvenience for the younger; though he was also happy to find that Changmin wanted to stay with him longer.

“I came here alone, Hyung,” Changmin let out a chuckle. “Sure I’ll be fine, I’m used with this.”

“Just… making sure,” replied Yunho with a shrug.

Yunho suddenly remembered on their first day, when he was picking Changmin up with Jaejoong. As he realized that day was also the start of everything; of all the mess which changed his and the other two’s lives completely, Yunho couldn’t help to smile sadly at the other. If only he didn’t hide the fact- or if only he didn’t push Changmin to come over and over again, maybe everything wouldn’t turn out like now.

“I’m sorry,” he finally said with guiltiness crept into his mind. “I shouldn’t hide all of these from you since the start. You deserve to know what happened and decide what you want to do with that. So… I’m sorry, Min; I really do. This was supposed to be a nice vacation for you.”

“Hyung, that’s okay; really. You’re worrying me too much,” Changmin replied back with a slight smile on his face. “I hid things about Jaejoong from you too before, we’re even.”

There was a brief silence between both of Changmin and Yunho.

“Did you come here alone, Hyung?” asked Changmin all of sudden.

Even though the taller hasn’t said anything of who he was asking about, surely Yunho already knew what it was about. “Jaejoong didn’t want to come out,” Yunho answered with a disappointed tone. “I should have forced him coming, but he locked the door and I… couldn’t really do anything. I’m also sorry about that, Min.”

“That’s fine. He just took the right decision,” Changmin said again, still smiling even though Yunho could still see sadness there. “It’s better for him like this, Hyung; for good.”

“No. Don’t say that, Min. I’m sure that he just needs some times to adjust himself with the current situation,” Yunho said, shaking his head with disagreement. “He hasn’t given up yet so… so you have to believe in him. He is still in love with you.”

Changmin seemed hesitant for a second. He wanted to hear Jaejoong’s voice again; to feel his love’s presence for the last time. Yet at the same time, he also didn’t want to make everything even more complicated than before. Changmin has ended things with Jaejoong already and that should be it. “I- I should get going, Hyung,” replied him in the end.

“Changmin, please,” Yunho quickly held Changmin’s hand; prevented the younger to walk away from him. “Let’s wait for him; together. And if he doesn’t come… that’s it. Don’t turn your back on him. He needs you as much as you need him.”

“Hyung, I don’t-” Changmin was about to say that he desperately wanted to go; that he didn’t want to meet with Jaejoong. He was afraid that he would do something he was going to regret later. But at the voice of Yunho’s pleading tone, he became lost his words completely. “Just… a half hour, then. I can’t wait longer than that. But if he doesn’t come, can you promise me to not do such thing again, Hyung?”

It was Yunho’s turn to hesitate now; wasn’t sure whether he could keep a promise like that or not. After all, he knew exactly that Changmin loves Jaejoong; and vice versa. He just couldn’t understand why both of his close friends made everything harder than it should be- because of his existence. “I… I will try, Changmin,” he finally said. “I can’t promise you that but… I’ll try. That’s the best I can do.”

After the conversation has ended somehow, both Changmin and Yunho then decided to have a seat not too far from the immigration gat
