Author's POV

"Why did you chase him out? Mom, he's my boyfriend!" Sparrow slightly raised her voice at her mom. "Why? Are you blind? He hurt you and now he's dating you?" "He changed! He loved me from the start and loves me still. I thought you said I should choose what my heart tells me to, and I did. Now you're against it?" " yes I did tell you to follow your heart but you chose wrong. Don't you know he already has a girlfriend? She's my friend's daughter and I see him dating you?" Sparrow hesistated a moment before saying in a soft voice, "he's not dating someone else... he...no, mom, for once you're wrong, he has no other girlfriend." With that Sparrow stormed to her room and slammed the door with a loud bang. She rushed for her phone and pressed L.Joe's number but didn't dial it. She thought how it could possibly be that L.Joe had another girlfriend, was he two-timing her? Was he cheating? After all they've been through? She thought hard who the other person could be. Thinking of the possibilities from school and a flash of a girl with jet black hair, lots of curves and huge s, her dressing revealed too much skin. Her? The way she addressed L.Joe was too intimate. Could it be?

Sparrow felt too crammed up in her room so she put on a cardigan and left the house. She walked along the street towards the park, the cool breeze helped calm her mind and think through things properly. She sat on a swing in the park, sighing, how confusing life is. Should I call L.Joe and ask him? I- "Sparrow, what a pleasant surprise," JR stepped out of the blue. Sparrow swivelled around, surprised to see JR. "Oh, JR, you're here? Such a coincidence." "Yeah, mind if I join you?" "Sure," Sparrow said with a warm smile. "How are you? How are things with L.Joe?" " I'm fine and things with L.Joe... I don't know..He just left my house after being chased out by my mom... and my mom tells me he has another girlfriend, its all so confusing and I don't know who to believe," Sparrow looked at JR amd JR returned it with warmth of a lover. You could have been mine, I wouldn't have hurt you like he did, JR thought. "Well... I'm not a love guru, haha" JR joked around, making Sparrow smile. Sparrow felt relieved again. "You could ask him. I mean you have no concrete proof right? Go ask him." " I'll meet him then. Anyways, I haven't seen you around lately. What's going on?" "Nothing really. Just school and the norm. I guess you're busy with L.Joe, I haven't seen you around lately either," "Hmmm, want to go out, get a drink or something? Study together? I missed you. Believe me," Sparrow reached for JR's hand. JR missed her too, loved to be with her, he readily agreed, "come on, its late, I'll walk you home. "
