Culture Build Up: Age System

Culture Build Up!
Chinese don't really follow this anymore, people now follow the 'International Age'.
(But I come from a (VERY) Traditional Chinese family and so, I do follow the Age System when I am with the elders.)
For a start, the TRADITIONAL Chinese is equivalent to Korean Age System.
This is because, Korea, actually learns the Han Language in the PAST.
Only after that, they had the present Language system but the Age System doesn't change.
I am sure some of you know that Koreans add on 1 to their ACTUAL age.
And if their birth date is near the end of December and before March, they add on 2.
The reason is because, we count the gestation period of 10 months and round it up to 1 year.
So by the time the baby is born, the child is considered 1 year old already (I felt it was quite unfair :p)
And the reason why the child adds on 2 years when their birthdate is near the end of December and before March is because..
Near December: To be 'Fair'
Jan-March: They are the 'Elder' ones.
What do I mean?
As for December,
They add on 2 years because they are born at the end of the Year. So as to be Fair, they add on 2 years instead of just 1.
As for Jan-March,
They are born in the earlier part of the year and so they are 'elder'.
Sounds confusing?
A good example would be,
Kai and SeHun.
Both born in the Year 1994.
International age: 19
But!
SeHun's Korean Age: 20
Kai's Korean Age: 21
Why is this so?
-SeHun adds on 1 more year to it, 1=20
-Kai adds on 2, because he is born on the 14th of January! So, 2=21
Understand? (:
Okay.. 1 more example of my own.
I am born in the year 1995, June.
And so, I will only add 1.
1=19
This is for the benefit of those who didn't subscribe to the Main Lessons and are just interested in the Chinese Culture~
