When the alarm clock blares at 5:00, a hand reaches out from beneath a pile of limbs and covers, and turns it off. It then retreats back into the warmth of the bed and there is peace again.

“Hyung?” Sehun asks, confused, when he wakes up enough to remember what day it is.

Luhan groans in response and pulls the younger boy closer to him.

“Sleep for a little while longer,” he whispers. “You’re mine until the van leaves for the airport.”

Sehun doesn’t protest and burrows deeper into the bed, sagging tremendously under the weight of two growing boys. Outside it’s winter quickly turning to spring, and EXO’s comeback was three days ago. Yesterday they had a showcase in Beijing, but today EXO-K will have to leave and while the other members camped outside in the living room Luhan and Sehun convinced the leaders they would be okay by themselves.

The bed is really warm with both of their body heats, and neither of them wants to leave it. Leaving it means leaving each other and they just want to sleep forever, content in each other’s embraces. They don’t even have to move from the position they have now, both curled shrimp-like into each other so they share the same air and so their backs are to the world, their hearts to each other.

There’s a loud knocking on the door, followed by Kris’s voice. “Get your butts out of bed, lovebirds!”

Sehun starts to leave but Luhan’s grip tightens on his forearms. The knocking subsides and they both relax again. Then they inch closer to each other and curl further in on themselves while their bare calves make pleasant sensations brushing against each other. Now their chests are touching and their limbs are intertwined; if they could never move from this position they would be content.
