I can usually drink you right off of my mind
But I miss you tonight
I can normally push you right out of my heart
But I'm too tired to fight

Not a word was said, the atmosphere filled with surprise. It was clear that neither had expected to see the other, not ever. Perhaps the two had given up all hope, which was why they were both so stunned. Victoria stared, eyes widened. Kyuhyun looked so different, yet the same as when she had last seen him. His eyes were still so beautiful, still warm and vibrant with a glimmer of silver behind. His hair was black as before, though, looking less dark and just a little frayed at the ends. His skin still looked pale, Victoria began to wonder if Kyuhyun had really done anything over the past two years besides stay indoors. Kyuhyun seemed to be the same height as before, wearing a dark trench coat over his attire.

"...Kyuhyun..." Victoria whispered, her tongue going dry. What was happening? Why was he there? Was Kyuhyun really in front of her, or had she taken too much alcohol for the night? Victoria was stiff, silent as she felt Kyuhyun's eyes glaze over her, observing every feature. She wasn't sure why Kyuhyun didn't look her in the eye.

"It's good to see you, why are you here?" Kyuhyun spoke, voice sounding dry and sore. Victoria had never heard Kyuhyun's voice so husky, so rough that it gave her the shivers. It seemed that they were both hurt  by the lonesome years. Was Kyuhyun trying to project happiness in his voice? Victoria felt that he was definitely trying to show her that he was content with life, even though he obviously wasn't. Kyuhyun's smile crumbled every time he placed it on his lips, just like her.

"I needed a drink." Victoria replied, hesitant, unable to think clearly. Again, was that because of the alcohol, or because Kyuhyun was right there? She didn't want to process anything in her mind, Victoria wasn't ready to. Her head had never throbbed so much.

Kyuhyun stared at her, giving a slightly bemused expression. Though he kept trying to smile, there was always that hint of pain, and Victoria didn't like it at all. Kyuhyun simply sighed before continuing the conversation, "Why? You never drank by yourself."

Being intoxicated, Victoria wasn't really reacting how her normal self would have. Honestly, if Victoria was sober the moment she had seen Kyuhyun, she would have run and run without ever looking back. But this Victoria was drunk, and when drunk, she became fairly honest. So not wanting to leave Kyuhyun's presence, and not wanting to lie to the man she still loved, Victoria muttered, "I was trying to lose myself, so I wouldn't have to remember you."

Kyuhyun froze, staring wide-eyed. Had Victoria really said that to him? He looked past her, and at the bottle and cups of alcohol sitting on the counter, obviously she was intoxicated. Kyuhyun couldn't help but feel an actual smile crawl to his lips, remembering how he and Victoria would drink all night and love each other for it in the morning. Kyuhyun knew, when Victoria was drunk, she never out. She was self-aware, knowing everything that was going on, only her guards brought down. Victoria simply told the truth when she was drunk, and did what she wanted too rather than being shy with so called emotions. Kyuhyun nodded, "How'd it turn out?

"Didn't work. I missed you, especially tonight." Victoria replied, feeling her body numb. What on Earth was she saying? Victoria laughed to herself, she had almost forgotten that everything she was saying was simply the truth.

"Just tonight?" Kyuhyun asked, a simple question, not wanting to ask anything that may have caused Victoria to give a strange outbreak or make it seem as if Kyuhyun was taking advantage of her. Honestly, Kyuhyun loved Victoria, he still did, so he would never abuse the information he knew about her. Victoria, famous actress, singer and dancer, he never once thought of her fame. After they had broken up, Kyuhyun never mentioned the fact he had dated her to other people for glory, since he never wanted it. Kyuhyun also never went to the local journalist and recited him all of Victoria's darkest secrets for money, not that he actually needed the cash. Why? Simply because, Victoria was always going to be that one girl who Kyuhyun loved all his life, the one person he wanted to protect with everything he had.

Victoria the hair away from her face, a saddened smile on her lips. That's what she and Kyuhyun had in common, they would smile despite feeling miserable on the inside. Perhaps if they had been more honest with their emotions, they would have never broken up. Victoria uttered silently, feeling he lower lip quiver, "Usually I could just push you out of my heart, but I'm too tired right now, it's not worth the fight."

Yeah the whole thing begins
And I let you sink into my veins
And I feel the pain like it's new
Everything that we were,
Everything that you said,
Everything that I did and that I couldn't do
Plays through tonight

Flashbacks began, memories seeping into their minds. Those flashbacks of times which were not clearly remembered, but important, and lingered at the back of their minds began to become vivid. Victoria could feel Kyuhyun's arms around her, even though he was standing a couple feet away. Kyuhyun could still hear Victoria's laugh, despite the silence which had clearly taken over the room. There was nothing but the sound of breathing, and the faint clinking of glass which appeared every so often.

"Did you think of me a lot?" Kyuhyun asked, honestly wanting to know. The Victoria he was used to hated drinking alone, always dragging a friend out with her. The Victoria Kyuhyun usually saw was bright as the sun, more dazzling than stars, and more graceful than the rain. Was she really having such a bad time?

Victoria's hand went out to the table closest to her, to keep balance. She was feeling a litte sick in the stomach, a jab of pain every so often. Victoria hated the feeling, but it helped her forget bitter memories. Victoria smiled sorrowfully, "More than a stalker usually would."

"But stalkers think of that one person all the time." Kyuhyun quickly retorted, feeling helpless when realising that there were tear stains running down Victoria's cheeks. He hated to see her cry, he hated seeing tears run down her face. Victoria was Kyuhyun's light, the little charm which gave Kyuhyun hope. So when Victoria was like this, sad or scared, Kyuhyun never left her side.

Victoria sighed, placing a hand over her forehead as she bitterly laughed once again. Victoria stared, realising that Kyuhyun was no longer avoiding her eyes. It seemed like Kyuhyu was becoming worried. He gazed into her eyes, causing a faint blush on Victoria's cheeks. Kyuhyun always made her feel shy so easily, and for no reason at all, Kyuhyun would always for it. Victoria snapped back into reality and shook her head, trying to remember that it wasn't going to happen. She murmured, "Not in their sleep, they don't dream of precious moments in the past with that person."

"Do you?" Kyuhyun asked softly, somewhat shocked, he hadn't expected Victoria to be so attached to his memory. He hadn't expected that Victoria was in the exact same state he was. Depressed, lonely, and wanting nothing more than to be held once again.

"The memories never leave me, but tonight, they're playing through my head so loudly." Victoria replied, her body shivering slightly despite the oversized jacket covering her petite figure. Kyuhyun was sure, if he hadn't had any self-restraint, he would have hugged her tightly and made sure she never left him. Kyuhyun wasn't going to let Victoria escape his grasp once more.

Tonight your memory burns like a fire
With every one it grows higher and higher
And I can't get over it, I just can't put out this love
I just sit in these flames and pray that you'll come back
Close my eyes tightly, hold on and hope that I'm dreaming
Come wake me up

It felt as if flames were engulfing Victoria, it had to be a dream. Kyuhyun, the man who she'd been dreaming off every night since the first meeting, the man who had created the mess inside her heart, the man who she never stopped loving even once, was standing in front of her. Rather than thinking of all those bitter flashbacks, the times which they weren't able to do anything besides fight, breakdown and cry, Victoria found herself remembering all those sweet times which she locked tightly in her heart. She could remember the first time Kyuhyun leaned in and kissed her, when Kyuhyun would smile just because of something Victoria had did, and when Kyuhyun would let her rest on his shoulder, everything was so important.

"...I missed you." He whispered in fear. Kyuhyun stared at Victoria, beginning to recall everything which had numbed. He had almost forgotten how much he loved Victoria, how found he was of her voice, and how much he loved it when she smiled at him. Kyuhyun wanted to have Victoria closer, he wanted to have her in his arms. He gave a nervous glance, Kyuhyun thought he was the only one who was stuck in the memories; he thought he was the only one who had been hurting. Kyuhyun breath hitched, perhaps there was a chance.

Victoria looked up, surprised at the unexpected words. So simple, and she felt as joyous. Victoria stared at Kyuhyun, seeing the look in his eyes, a sudden realisation taking place in her head. Kyuhyun's eyes were just like hers, filled with want, need and hesitance. The whole experience wasn't one-sided, she wasn't the only one suffering. Without much thought, Victoria was given a strange sense of confidence. She spoke, "I missed you too."

With that, a smile began to make its way to Kyuhyun's lips. The bitterness, the hate, the despise that had grown at the back of their minds for each other slowly cleared. Though it wasn't really 'dislike' that they felt for each other, it filled their hearts when love wasn't able to be found. The reluctant emotions when suffering took place simply because of the lack of affection. Now they were in front of each other, and it simply was gone. But clearly, the fear hadn't yet left. Kyuhyun took a step forward, placing his hand out. It was the first step to recreating the love they had, or rather, to become open with it once again. Victoria stared, wanting to grab onto it, but felt afraid. It was nostalgia, deja vu. Kyuhyun gave a worried expression, "What's wrong?"

"Is this a dream? Because if it is, I don't want to wake up. If I move, then-" Victoria was cut off by Kyuhyun. Genuinely, she was afraid that the whole situation was a dream. She had been in the exact same situation in several of her dreams, Kyuhyun standing right in front of her openly and wanting Victoria to touch him. She'd always wake up.

Kyuhyun couldn't help but smile at Victoria's words, shaking his head. He always did adore her personality, her naivety and innocence. Kyuhyun stared at Victoria encouragingly, speaking softly, "I don't think so. This isn't a dream, or at least, I hope not."

Victoria bit her lower lip, staring back at the alcohol. She didn't remember falling asleep, so it couldn't have been that she passed out. Victoria glanced at Kyuhyun, lips trembling, "...This is real? You're not imaginary?"

"Come closer, and let's see what happens." Kyuhyun replied simply, the light in his eyes becoming brightly. Victoria swore that a image of Kyuhyun, back when he was a student, reappeared in her mind. The way Kyuhyun stood, the way his eyes shined, the way the corner of his lips raised and the way Kyuhyun spoke, it brought her all the way back to the past. Victoria gave a gentle smile, one that didn't hurt her lips. It was the exact same way Kyuhyun made her fall in love with him.

"I don't want to disturb this, in case." Victoria insisted, though, wondering whether she was afraid it was a dream or whether she was afraid of what would happen. Victoria didn't want another mess, that giant ball of mixed up emotions and misunderstandings, to happen once again.

Kyuhyun felt his body freeze. He knew exactly what Victoria was feeling, and he was scared of the exact same thing. Though, despite being unsure of the future which awaited, Kyuhyun knew that he didn't want to go another day without Victoria. He had suffered so much without her by his side, he didn't want to let her go again. So, with a nervous heart, Kyuhyun took another step forward, "This type of reality is worth being awake for."

Turn the TV up loud just to drown out your voice, but I can't forget
Now I'm all out of ideas and baby I'm down to my last cigarette
Yeah, you're probably asleep deep inside of your dreams while I’m sitting here crying and trying to see
Yeah, wherever you are baby now I am sure you moved on and aren't thinking twice about me
And you tonight

It didn't need much more encouragement from Kyuhyun for Victoria to grab onto his hand and leap into his arms. All the bitter thoughts, the unwanted memories and hardship disappeared in an instant. This really was like a fairytale, the reality which Victoria always fantasized about but thought she was never going to obtain. When Victoria and Kyuhyun first met, it was perfection, but after they broke up, all hopes fell. Victoria never thought about love after that, she herself into work and alcohol. She never bothered to look at the men around her who wished to gain Victoria's attention, because all she ever wanted was Kyuhyun. And now he was back.

Cinderella. Victoria closed her eyes as Kyuhyun simply held her, as tightly as he ever could. She remembered her mother reading to her the story of Cinderella, how she escaped to the ball and meets the prince, only to leave at midnight. It seemed like it would be the end, and Victoria always thought that happened until her mother spoke otherwise. Her mother told her that the prince loved Cinderella so much, he went far and wide to find her. And when the prince finally did see her, Cinderella was not dressed up in all those glamourous clothes he had once seen her in. Rather, Cinderella was dressed as a servant, dust on her face and simple clothing. But the prince still loved her.

Victoria couldn't help but compare it to the situation at hand, despite a couple differences. Victoria knew she was looking pathetic, wearing a oversized jacket, partly ripped dress which still clung to her figure and tear-stained cheeks. Not to mention that she was drunk beyond belief. How could Kyuhyun still hug her, still hold her so warmly without even questioning it? Without hesitation? How could Kyuhyun even consider loving her again, despite her appearance? Victoria couldn't help but sink into Kyuhyun's arms.

"It's been too long." Kyuhyun whispered to Victoria, and she felt ever so comfortable with his words. Though, as Victoria opened her eyes, she had a sudden realisation, lifting her head off Kyuhyun's chest and staring at him with widened eyes.

She was shocked. Victoria gazed, giving a completely betrayed and hurt expression. Kyuhyun stared back, knowing somewhere in his head why Victoria was staring at him in such a manner. Victoria shook slightly, unsure of what to do, how to react. Kyuhyun only waited to see her reaction. Victoria breathed slowly, "Your breath-"

"I was smoking, sorry." Kyuhyun muttered in a somewhat apologetic way, though, not really giving off an expression of remorse. He knew that she was more than disappointed in him. Victoria didn't like people who smoked anyway. Kyuhyun felt slightly guilty, to become the type of man in which Victoria hated was something he thought that was never going to happen.

Victoria had been expecting those words ever since she felt Kyuhyun's breath, but it didn't stop her reaction. She disliked the idea of Kyuhyun smoking, since he was a man who treasured his voice, the ability to speak and sing. Victoria slowly looked up, "...You smoke? Since when?"

Kyuhyun unwrapped one of his arms around Victoria's body, only to put his hand in his pocket and take out a pack of cigarettes. It was a pack of 12 cigarettes, 7 of which were missing. Victoria couldn't help but gulp at the sight. She knew that smoking was an addiction, something you couldn't easily stop once started. Victoria, though, still felt uncomfortable with the fact that Kyuhyun seemed to be a regular smoker. Kyuhyun saw Victoria's discomfort, his lips moved uncomfortably, "Since two years ago. You fell into alcohol, apparently, I fell into smoking. I don't smoke often though, only 4 or 5 times a week. On the other hand, alcohol is permanent for me."

"Don't you dare hold another cigarette in your hand." Victoria whispered, only closing her eyes, body moving closer to Kyuhyun's for the warmth. As she and Kyuhyun had known each other for so long, and knew so much about each other, not many words were needed to convey what they were feeling. No questions were needed, no unsure tones of voice, and no 'please', 'thank you' or perhaps even 'sorry'. They knew already, and really, neither Kyuhyun nor Victoria ever needed to hear those words. The pair already knew each other's emotions, they already knew the words wished to be expressed. Perhaps that's why Victoria and Kyuhyun stopped saying it. If they continuously spoke such words whenever they felt it, the tenderness of them would have become something ordinary.

"Stop drinking alcohol by yourself. Looks kind of lonely." Kyuhyun retorted, basically agreeing with Victoria's wish to stop smoking. And she knew that, especially since Kyuhyun had dropped the cigarettes in his hands directly to the floor. He honestly never enjoyed doing it, but it made him forget. Whenever Kyuhyun saw Victoria on television, he neither had the strength to watch the screen nor turn it off. Smoking was the only thing that calmed his mind, making his thoughts run away from Victoria's voice.

"Dark circles, shouldn't you be sleeping?" Victoria then questioned, hands slowly grazing gently under Kyuhyun's eyes. The younger shrugged, Victoria felt his hand on the oversized jacket, hand gripping it and shaking slightly.

Kyuhyun stared at Victoria, gazing deeply into her eyes. Victoria was instantly hypnotised, slightly surprised. She hadn't seen Kyuhyun cry in 7 years, his eyes never even watered. Why was it happening now? Kyuhyun's breath hitched, speaking softly, "I assumed you moved on, never imagined you'd ever give me another thought. Whenever I called you, no one ever picked up. Thought you changed your number."

Tonight your memory burns like a fire
With every one it grows higher and higher
I can't get over it, I just can't put out this love
I just sit in these flames and pray that you'll come back
Close my eyes tightly, hold on and hope that I'm dreaming

"I didn't." Victoria murmured, feeling guilt fill her heart. She never realised that she was making Kyuhyun suffer so much, by never answering any of his calls for the last two years. She never realised that Kyuhyun was on the other side of the phone call, losing faith but never giving in just yet. Victoria honestly never realised Kyuhyun cared so much, why was she so blinded? Why was she so terrible? Victoria wondered what would have happened if she simply picked up Kyuhyun's call, whether or not she would have suffered so much for the last two years.

Kyuhyun didn't bother to question it, why Victoria never answered any his calls. He was sure enough, she had her own reasons to avoiding him for so long, for never contacting him despite it being so simple. Just a small click of the phone. Judging by the way Victoria continued to hold onto him so tightly, and by the way she was drunkenly speaking without too much hesitation, Kyuhyun decided not to give it too much attention. Or at least, not tonight. It wasn't the time for more accusations and mistrust, it was the time to mend bridges. Kyuhyun stared at the jacket covering Victoria's figure, "Isn't that my jacket?"

"Yeah." Victoria answered in one word, feeling herself beginning to sober up. She was finally starting to gain control of her body, and the words she began to speak.

"You never gave it back to me." Kyuhyun said, almost teasingly with a hint of mischief behind his tone of voice. They were starting to feel comfortable with each other once more, they were beginning to feel the way they did during the early years of their relationship. So needy, not wanting to leave each other. But then again, the two always felt like that.

"You never came back to get it." Victoria replied simply, and for the first time, Kyuhyun laughed happily. Though quiet, and though not as he once did before, it still filled Victoria's heart. There was still a light of love, like a candle, which managed to survive throughout time. But only barely.

I know that you're movin' on
I know I should give you up
But I keep hopin' that you'll trip and fall back in love
Time's not healin' anything
Baby, this pain is worse than it ever was
I know that you can't hear me, but baby I need you to save me tonight

"Save me. I'm too young to hate life." Victoria whispered, feeling somewhat pitiful. After waking up early every single day to go to the make up salon, then act like perfection, both off an on screen, and then to spend nights lonely with bottles of alcohol, Victoria sometimes she wished that she never woke up again, there was no motivation to start the day. Due to her fame, there was no free time, and people related to her were troubled, so Victoria's friends began to fade away. Family? They opposed Victoria's dreams, so she left them to persue them. And luckily, it worked out, but her family never contacted her even after reaching the level of fame Victoria had. She managed to escape from too much work, but by that time, she was left alone. Without Kyuhyun, there was nothing.

"26 is a good age to start." Kyuhyun retorted in a somewhat joking way, but knew what Victoria as feeling. He was exactly the same. Family were there, but they lived too far away for him to visit. Friends were there, but they were never really 'friends'. In the end, when Victoria disappeared from him, he threw himself into work. Kyuhyun needed something to beat his misery, something that would keep his mind off of Victoria.

Victoria smiled softly, feeling comfortable, feeling more conscious of what she was saying. But Victoria decided to speak her emotions now, since it may have been the only chance for her to say anything. Victoria replied, "I've been here for two years, telling myself to give up on you but never fufilling it. Time isn't working."

"I called you every other day for two years, waiting to see if you were ever going to pick up. I knew you'd get sick of it if I called every day, but I wasn't even sure if you were receiving them. It hurts you know, nobody else was ever going to replace you." Kyuhyun muttered, causing Victoria's heart to skip a beat. She wasn't going to say it out loud, but Victoria honestly enjoyed the idea of Kyuhyun thinking of her so often. She swallowed deeply, staring up at the other.

"You were with other girls when I wasn't around?" Victoria questioned through the silence, feeling as if Kyuhyun may have tried to replace her with someone else at one point or another. Though she hoped that it wasn't true, nothing besides Kyuhyun's words were going to calm down her nervous soul. The words 'Nobody else was ever going to replace you', coming from Kyuhyun's lips, made her feel somewhat suspicious. It made her feel that Kyuhyun had dated other women while she wasn't there.

Kyuhyun stared back down at Victoria, giving a somewhat confused and betrayed look. He bit his lips, stating strongly, "How drunk are you, Qian? Can you hear me? No one was ever going to replace you, so I couldn't bare to look at anybody else."

Tonight your memory burns like a fire
With every one it grows higher and higher
I can't get over it, I just can't put out this love
I just sit in these flames and pray that you'll come back

Close my eyes tightly, hold on and hope that I'm dreaming

There was confidence growing with each other's presence. Although none of them had said it, there was some sort of silent agreement that they wanted each other back, and weren't going to leave each other again. Victoria was able to feel herself, her body heat up. She hoped that it was because of the love, rather than the large amount of alcohol she had consumed.

"I'm burning." Victoria said simply, causing Kyuhyun to raise a brow in a confused way. The tension had become lost, and rather, a comfortable air of familiarity had taken place. Though, Kyuhyun was sure that after tonight, there would be awkward emotions. Not that he minded. Kyuhyun knew, it was going to take a while to repair the love which they had broken long ago, but together, it wouldn't take too long, and it wasn't going to be too troublesome either.

Kyuhyun let out a quiet hum, nothing too odd or out of the ordinary. Victoria, though, still found it quite special and hummed back. Kyuhyun didn't loosen his embrace with Victoria, simply asking, "Why?"

"You, it's all because of you. I've never felt so heated, or at least, not since you've been gone. Usually my hands are always cold." Victoria replied, wanting to act as if she were still intoxicated, since it gave her the excuse to be honest without becoming a bright red. Kyuhyun knew her personality, and it wasn't that she kept all her emotions locked in, it was just Victoria was never sure of how to say them. She was afraid of the reaction from someone else, embarrassed by her own words most of the time, so Kyuhyun tended to give her encouragement, saying he didn't mind what Victoria thought. He also didn't if she was reluctant.

"That's why I always held them." Kyuhyun replied. It was true, Victoria had a tendency to have cold hands. She didn't usually wear gloves, nor did she like them that much. Victoria liked to touch things with her bare skin, feeling more control rather than doing it through a cloth of some sort. Victoria let out a gentle smile, arms wrapped around Kyuhyun's torso, under his large trench coat and directly around his shirt.

Victoria wondered, was life going to change now that Kyuhyun was there? How much was it going to improve her mentality? Victoria shook her head, she shouldn't have been thinking such thoughts at a time so significant. She just wanted to be stuck in the emotion of love like the fool she once was, and the fool she still acted as. Love made people stupid, but nobody with someone who was as stupid for them and returned their "I prayed you would come back to me one day."

Kyuhyun went silent, staring away. Victoria peeked up, seeing no expression on his face. She froze, Kyuhyun saying softly, "Who ever said I was going to come back to you?"

"What?" Victoria asked in shock as she stood up straight, hands soflty gripping Kyuhyun's shirt. The younger stared down, giving a somewhat confused expression to the word Victoria had just spoken. The emotion on her face, the feeling of panic, Victoria didn't notice the fact that Kyuhyun was still holding her.

"You're the same, gullible idiot I once knew." Kyuhyun whispered, causing a pang of pain in Victoria's heart. What was going on? She had thought that life was beginning to straighten up again, but was it only becoming more and more bent? Victoria's breath hitched, Kyuhyun stared directly into her eyes. She didn't want Kyuhyun to leave her again.

"..." Victoria looked down, remaining silent. A second after, she heard Kyuhyun sigh, suddenly pulling Victoria back into a tight embrace. Kyuhyun let his fingers tangle through Victoria's locks of hair, rocking their bodies softly. Once this happened, Victoria instantly relaxed, going to her former position. Whenever Kyuhyun did those actions it usually meant 'sorry', since he was often too prideful to say it.

"I know you so well, and I'm sure you remember lots about me too, but it seems you've lost the ability to tell when I'm being sarcastic or not." Kyuhyun murmured in an apologetic tone, still keeping the hint of amusement at the end of his tongue. Victoria simply smiled.

"I haven't lost it, you've just changed the way you say things." Victoria replied, causing Kyuhyun to laugh once again. It was probably past midnight, and it couldn't help but remind the two of them of when they were both living together in Korea. How they would drink all night for fun happily, without a care in the world. It was something they did whenever they could, Kyuhyun and Victoria would usually split the bill and see who could drink more alcohol than the other. It was always so fun and beautiful, to be so free to act on emotion without holding back. When it came to buying dinner or lunch, Kyuhyun tended to pay, but for midnight drinks, it was something they preferred to share.

Kyuhyun closed his eyes for a second, listening to Victoria's words. Without too much thought, a gentle smile on his lips, Kyuhyun replied, "That's because I nobody understood my sarcasm but you."

Come wake me up
Oh, I'm dreaming
Come wake me up

Oh, I'm dreaming

So many questions began to run through their heads, wanting to be asked but a little anxious of the reply. Honestly, it was somewhat painful to have lingering questions without an answer. Both Kyuhyun and Victoria couldnt help thinking the questions: Are you going to leave me again? Are you going to stay forever now? Was life painful without me? Did you miss me? Are we going to be together from now on? Will we never make the same mistake we did in the past again?

"Hey..." Victoria whispered quietly, Kyuhyun sighed softly. Were they going to have to resort to questions which only fed their desire to be loved? Were they simply going to ask questions to make them feel secure, without any proof? Kyuhyun didn't doubt Victoria, but after what he had been through, what they had experienced, which was a lot of misunderstandings, distrust and tears, Kyuhyun knew that such questions were never going to mean anything. Though, yes, he did want to ask them as well, but the cheesiness and the cliche emotions were simply too much for him.

"What is it?" Kyuhyun questioned, feeling Victoria's hands needily fist his shirt. Kyuhyun wondered what Victoria was thinking, what she was going to ask and why. Was Victoria still doubtful, or was she fully trusting of him?

Victoria hesitantly looked up, biting her lower lip. She wanted to ask a question which would summarise everything else, because there were too many questions she wanted to ask. Victoria closed her eyes for a second, before turning to Kyuhyun and saying, "Do you love me?"

Kyuhyun stared, somewhat bemused. He really didn't expect such a question to be asked, since it was somewhat assumed. Perhaps it was important to check, since some people have said that love isn't permanent and fades over time. Kyuhyun and Victoria didn't believe that, they felt as if after loving a person, they would never simply 'stop' being in love. Rather, the resentment overtakes the emotion of love, so that the whole thing is forgotten. Kyuhyun gave a simple nod before speaking, "Yes."

Victoria smiled, she didn't have to ask anything else. She knew that Kyuhyun wasn't going to be there every single day, and that there were going to be times when they would simply argue without reason, but knowing that Kyuhyun loved her, Victoria couldn't help but feel it was worth it. Love was worth the hardships and the pain, since there is never happiness without sadness. Without experiencing hurt, a person would never understand the preciousness of being happy;

"That's all I need to know." Victoria murmured, causing a silent smile to crawl onto Kyuhyun's lips. Knowing that someone loved you was enough, no other foolish questions were needed. No other ego building questions had to be asked. Kyuhyun closed his eyes and simply enjoyed Victoria's presence.

They weren't sure of the future.

But surely, they'd work it one way or another.
