I update so quickly :P

Kai’s POV

“Okay there is only one batch left to administer vaccines to!” Chanyeol said stretching.

I was vaguely listening to him while rubbing ether on a man’s arm with a cotton ball.

The sun was blinding and I couldn’t look at the hut Panchali and Suho were in from this distance.

“Dude?” I heard Chanyeol say.

“Kai?”

I spun around towards him, haphazardly to see him giving me a questioning look.

“Y-yeah?”

“You’ve been rubbing ether on him for the past 2 minutes.” He said staring at me strangely.

“Oh.” I said and looked at the man’s arm.

He was also giving me a quizzical look.

I sighed and picked up the syringe.

I administered his dose of vaccine and gave him a medical okay.

Luhan was working silently in a corner filing away everyone’s medical reports.

“Doctors? You can break for lunch.” A nurse came in and said.

I glanced again at the hut. I’d try sneaking somehow but who knows what would happen if I got caught.

Yah why is this even bothering me so much?!  Suho… he’ll take care of her. Yeah.

I went to put away my lab coat and passed their hut.

I could hear sounds of her laughing from inside. I felt a ball of cement turning in my stomach.

I had an urge to barge in, throw Suho into the ocean and feed him to a shark or something. I’m sure they’d enjoy his company too. Why give Panchali such nice company? She’s annoying. She should get bad company… like mine!

Suho deserves much better.

I cleared my throat.

I wasn’t allowed to meet them but I could still see them. And after all, that Panchali is so wild. Who knows what she’s doing to Suho? I should take a look. Purely for Suho’s sake of course! The kid doesn’t look too strong. He could use some help. Who knows if she’s taking advantage of him in a closed hut.

A strange image entered my head suddenly.

Suho cowering in a corner, folding his hands and begging Panchali to stop while she advanced slowly cooing “I like your abs Suho…”

I wriggled and shook my head strongly.

Aish. This girl.

Anyways Suho’s safety is my priority.

I crawled cautiously to a window and glanced in.

Panchali was sitting on the bed and Suho was sitting in front of her, cross legged.

They were playing some sort of a game.

“Okay!” Suho said “Now… okay it starts with m and ends with s and its incubation period is 8-12 days.”

Were they playing some sort of a medical game?

“Hmmm…” Panchali said “It could be mumps or measles… Any complications?”

“Orchitis.”

“MUMPS!” Panchali said, as if she’d won a prize.

Gosh what a kid.

“Correct!” Suho said giving her a high five.

She sighed “I’m tired.”

“Go to sleep.” Suho said and patted her head.

I wanted to shave all her hair just then.

“Nah… You get bored all day.” She said and yawned.

I could entertain him…

“Hey you need to get better first! Then entertain me all you want.” He said smiling that horrid charming smile of his which puts everyone at ease.

ENTERTAIN him?! What the heck does he mean entertain?!

“But you’re taking so much care of me. How will I pay you back?” she asked, looking concerned.

There is no need for you to pay him back.

“Yah! Okay when I get sick you take care of me fine? But I’m warning you I can be very difficult! You’ll have to make me soup, read out to me and hold my hand when I’m sleeping. Now sleep!” he ordered and held her by the shoulders forcing her to lie down.

The cement ball had turned into a whole building. Very quick construction eh?

“Kai?” I hear a voice behind me and spun around to see Luhan looking at me with a questioning expression.

Gosh why couldn’t he have taken care of her? He wouldn’t even have said anything.

“Dr. Komal is looking for you.” He said and went away.

Knowing Panchali she’d check out his abs too.

Dr. Komal… !

Suho’s POV

I watched her sleep silently from a corner. Most girls looked so cute but she had such a sour expression on her face. It was quite amusing.

She would always roll into a tight ball and sleep and couldn’t sleep without a blanket.

I dragged a chair and sat beside her bed.

Then I was reminded of the scene yesterday.

Poor Kai. He really seemed to care for her. Though why did he get so worked up all the time?

Dr. Diksha had come in to visit often. She always seemed so apologetic. She said she felt sorry for not being able to take care of Panchali. But I was amazed how Panchali had been able to perform an appendicitis surgery successfully. Its just been like two weeks of our internship.

She mumbled something in her sleep and turned towards me.

I could still hear her saying something and I leaned in closer.

“Do you need something?” I said softly.

“Grammy…” she muttered and frowned in her sleep.

I extended one hand to feel if her fever was coming back. I placed it on forehead and then on her cheek.

Hmm… still a little warm but much better since yesterday.

Before I knew it she had wrapped both her hands around mine and tucked it safely under her cheek.

“Grammy…” she mumbled and smiled.

I blinked again and sighed.

Then I put my other hand on top of hers and leaned forward to put my head on the bed.

Soon, my eyes began to feel heavy too and I closed them.

“Goodnight Panchali…” I whispered.

Panchali’s POV

“Goodnight Panchali…” I heard and opened my eyes a little to see Suho almost lying next to me.

I was holding one of his hands tightly and his other hand was on top of mine.

I stared at him for all of 10 seconds, blushing deeply.

He looked tired and was sleeping soundly.

I didn’t want to disturb him.

Smiling a little, I loosened my grip on his hand only to find his hands instantly close over mine.

I sighed and closed my eyes again.

This was quite comfortable after all.

Kai’s POV

I am telling you I will kill them both. Suho and Panchali that is. And bury them separately. 

NO MORE FLUFF IN THE NEXT CHAPTER! *phew* Fluff is so tiring! Anyways hope you liked it ^-^
