Misunderstood, The

Xiumin arrived to Sorata's place as soon as he had left campus. Soon he would began working at the Publishing part time instead of as a intern. He was so glad to receive the news, he waited all day to get with her and let her know. He had planned to sleep by Luhan's place for the night, just to be a companion and helping hand. But before then, he wanted to just talk to the lady that made his life flow so much more smoothly than ever before.   Reflecting back on his life, the death of his parents - who he barely remembers - was considered the hardest thing he ever had to deal with. But now, as an adult, he knows that things he consciously have to live with now because of his own decisions are obviously the hardest things he could ever be confronted with. Not having to worry about disappointing anyone but himself made him realize that he never wanted to stray so far from normalcy ever again. Not only that, but he was determined to accomplish his goals, he would do so by whatever means necessary. Listening to his classmate, Joonmyun, was what got him into Agit. The one thing that was helping him pay for his goals and the same thing that was threatening to destroy his dreams.   But meeting Sorata, the classic beauty, made him shiver with delight. She wasn't by  any means your average attractive woman. She didn't hold the slender curves of a woman who exercised, or the average style of a woman who was seeking to please. She was her own self. Very much aware of her charms and fully using them to her advantage. She had Xiumin wrapped around her finger, but in all honesty, Xiumin could say the same about her and it would be true.   The smell of her place let him know that she had been cooking since they made plans to meet up. She was more than an exceptional cook, she was brilliant. He allowed his nose to take him throughout her home to the kitchen where he saw her standing over a pot on the stove. She was brewing something that smelled delicious. He didn't make his presence known to her however, choosing to lean against the entrance way and gaze at her concentrated form stirring the pot.   She turned around soon enough, nearly jumping out of her skin in fright, “Oh, Xiumin! You scared me!” She was clutching at the spoon in her hand tightly, unknowingly dripping sauce onto her shirt.   “I'm sorry,” he laughed, pointing at the mess she was making. “You might want to change now.”   “We can obviously say this is your fault,” she pouted. Needlessly she rubbed at the spot from the dripped gravy, only smearing it bigger across her shirt. “Oh well, it's only you anyways.”   Xiumin looked affronted at that, “Only me? Am I someone you don't need to impress anymore?”   It was Sorata's turn to laugh, “You were never anyone I needed to impress.”   “Ouch, that hurt,” he mumbled, grabbing at his heart jokingly.   She only laughed louder, wrapping Xiumin in a hug while whispering she was glad he came. Dinner was served shortly after, Sorata keeping on the stained shirt throughout the whole meal. Xiumin didn't bother about it, instead talking about things of interest to the both of them. By time they had finished their meal and found themselves curled up on the couch together, did Xiumin ask the single most curious question he had on his mind, “I know you said earlier I'm not someone you bother to impress, but-,”   “I was joking, Xiumin,” Sorata interrupted, tilting her head upwards to look into his beautiful eyes.   “I know, I just, wanted to ask you something,” he assured her. The nod of her head let him know to continue, “Am I someone you want to possess? As in, exclusively?”   “I thought I made that clear already some time ago,” she spoke, sitting up and turning her body to face his fully. She barely left any space between them as she looked strongly into his eyes.   “You never said that you wanted me to be yours, only yours. And I mean as a man, not as a Domestic Entertainer,” he clarified.   “Oh. Am I correct in assuming you want a title? As in, a lover? Boyfriend? Significant other?” The more she listed, the more Xiumin began feeling like a whiny little boy. Still he shook his head 'Yes' because that is exactly what he wanted no matter how it made him sound.   “Well,” she leaned forward, cupping his now slender cheeks in her hands, thumb running slowly against the edge of his eyebrow. “How about you be all three?”   He in a shallow breath, the closeness of her face still making him heat up, “You don't think that is, I don't know, childish?”   She gave a teasing smile that pronounced the glint in her eyes, “I've always wanted to be someone's significant other, myself. I think I have always liked the way that sounded. So no, my lover, my other half, my sweet sweet man, I don't think it's childish. What is childish is you not kissing me while I'm obviously and quite uncomfortably leaning my body more than half way for you to do so.”   The laughed that escaped him when he notice that, yes, she was leaning very forward to get as close to him as possible without moving from her seat, was a boisterous one. It held all of his stress that he gladly released into the air with his mirthful chortles of joy. Once calm enough, he did claim her lips in a kiss that expressed all of those emotions. Though they had met lips more than enough times in the past, this one still felt different, for it held the taste of a promising future with the woman he liked best by his side. Dare he think it, but it seemed that Sorata felt the passion differently this time as well. Judging by the roaming hands and powerful grips to his clothes, he would think she felt it all the more stronger than he did. The nagging thought that he had promised to sleep by Luhan's tonight made him groan in slight frustration. He certainly didn't want to separate from the vixen that had found her way on top of him, and her hands roaming far too low to be called appropriate. But it was nothing to fret over, because he was her's and she, his. There would be plenty of times for them to engage in such an activity he was sure, for he knew she would stay with him. Besides, who else would he want more than he wanted Miss Dinner Time?     ~~~~~~~~     It took a while for the hype to settle down around Luhan, Xiumin, and Sehun – about three weeks to be exact. Luhan had taken on his father role quite well, initially forcing Sehun to be the mom who woke up in the middle of the night to deal with the crying baby. That is, until Xiumin heard about the arrangement and quickly put a stop to it. It was Luhan's son – whom they rightfully named Dewei, meaning 'Of Great Principle' -  not anyone else, and he was the one who didn't want the baby's mother to be living with them. So Xiumin made sure Luhan took full responsibility for his child while Sehun helped where he was needed.   If nothing else made Luhan more mature, him taking charge of his baby night and day surely did. He was tired, and in the process of looking for a new job since he had been admitted leave from Agit, but he was happy. The extra work he pulled at Agit allowed him to have his own 'maternity leave' in essence since he wasn't pressed for money to have to work immediately. However, he didn't want to idly go through his savings that fast, so he did began to look for work for the start of the new month one week away. He found more often than not, his history on his laptop was filled with more searches on babies rather than jobs. He was always so facinated about learning something new that would improve  his care taking skills. He wanted to be as near the perfect father as possible for as long as possible.   Vanika visited rather often. Luhan found he wasn't as opposed to the idea as he used to be, her company was actually needed when Sehun and Xiumin were both at work. Their talking made them realize that they had way more in common than just Sehun, so she made an effort to build a friendship with Luhan. Cooking him meals, cleaning around the house, and feeding her little Dewei came as second nature almost. He would always help out when it was feasible for him to do so, choosing to stare when it was not – usually when she was feeding. She had told him that she had made time to attend school, and that her parents accepted her back into the home. It all sounded rather selfish of her and and her parents, but who could better understand her plight that Luhan himself? The fact that she still made time to visit so frequently, made her selfish absence perceivable.    She would take her leave whenever Sehun got home, making quick conversation before excusing herself. And Sehun, who never failed to ask the same thing to Luhan once he got home, would give a look while his mouth formed the sentence, “So you two are friends now?”   “Sehun, why, why do you keep asking that? She is the mother of my son, don't you think she should visit?” Luhan would chortle, fingers grazing through the small strands on his baby's head as he stared up at his brother.   “Of course she should,” Sehun smiled, his reply always the same as well. “I'm going shower so I can play with my nephew! Oh, and Xiumin is coming to spend the night over here as well. He said he will be sleeping with you so he demands you wash your sheets before he arrives!”   Luhan scowled, “that commanding bun! Who does he think he is?”   “Obviously your better half,” Sehun laughed, shutting the bathroom door quietly.    Luhan crossed his arms at his brother saucy but truthful reply. Without Xiumin, where would he be? Certainly not staring into the wide eyes of his baby that looked like him in more ways than one. He could see himself all over little Dewei's face. True, there were obvious features that showed Luhan didn't aually create his baby, but that another person was involved as well. Like the fuller lips the little one held, mimicking almost exactly, his mothers mouth and the slightly natural slant of his eyebrows. He could see just from the amount of hair on Dewei's head that he wouldn't have nearly as much hair as himself either. Yet still, he took the best features from the both of them, making a very beautiful creation.    Luhan couldn't be anything but thankful to those that put up with him and made him realize that by himself he was an idiot. At least with friends, he was still an idiot, but a bearable one.    The door to the bathroom opened, revealing a slightly damp, but fully dressed Sehun, who ran to put his clothes away before sliding into the sitting room to lift the precious bundle up into his arms, automatically having a conversation with the baby but not bothering to change his voice into a cutesy tone. Sounding rather bland and 'Sehunish'. Luhan rolled his eyes, tired of teasing Sehun about his lack of 'baby voice', to get the door that he was sure Xiumin was standing outside of. Quickly he unlocked it and got an armful of his best friend as he was bombarded by a tight hug.   “Whoa, why so happy?” Luhan laughed, hugging Xiumin back gladly.   “Miss Dinner Time wants me,” he said dreamily, allowing himself to be pulled inside the apartment.   “Yeah as if I didn't know that already?” Luhan shrugged earning a little slap from his strung out best friend.   “Not that way! She wants me to be hers. Like her boyfriend.”    Luhan didn't bother delving deeper because he honestly thought they were already an item, but now Xiumin was saying something contrary. He just smiled and congratulated him before mumbling that he had sheets to wash and that Sehun was playing with “little Luhan the great”.   The older didn't waste anytime about plopping down next to Sehun who was still coddling the little man, “He is so cute! Do you think he may be prettier than Luhan?” Xiumin asked.   Sehun gave a shudder, mumbling an “I hope not” before teasing the baby about how everyone will think he was a girl.   “I will not allow my baby to be punked while he is not in a position to defend himself!” Luhan yelle
