Chapter Sixty Three

Misunderstood, The

He had just about everything in order to move on from the life he had managed to create for nine months. All he really had to do was leave. Go back home to his mom and siblings and never repeat what he had just left. Being so busy worrying about the welfare of his siblings allowed him to receive scars he wasn't even aware of. There was no such thing as danger when he first stumbled upon Agit Night. There were no threats or consequences against him. All he saw was the money he could make, the sacrifices themselves were a minimum in his brain. But now, now that he recognized what he had done to himself, he knew he couldn't continue on in such a way. Now that he had played the game of being in 'lust' he didn't want to be a participant any longer.   That sort of life wasn't for everybody and as far as he went, it shouldn't have been something he considered from the the first place.   But desperate people do desperate things. Certainly it was no secret that room 1950 was filled with desperate people.   Yixing was just one of them, pathetic and quite frankly salacious in his dealings since he starting working at Agit. Maybe he wasn't as dirty as some of the other employees, maybe he did still hold onto some semblance of morals, but out the window they went when he signed the contract with his boss. A woman who could create and crash dreams all with the slip of her top, and ruffle of her skirt. She was venomous to the likes of someone as naive as him and a destroyer of things she wanted but could not have. It was a wonder she was letting him leave so easily.   He heard about her losing her place as company head, Jaejoong being the new lead. Maybe that was why it was so easy to get his ticket out. He knew that Jaejoong didn't take too kindly to his constant presence around Nana, and if Kris wasn't more obvious about it,  then it was safe for him to assume that Jaejoong harbored feelings for the petite lady more than was mutual.    However, there were two things he had to handle before he completely left – Tao being assured that he could come to Yixing for anything, and Tao being assured that he should come to Yixing for anything.   Maybe they were nearly one in the same, but they were still different in the sense that Tao did not trust him the way he wanted him to.  There were too many times when he wanted the younger boy to rely on him and he refused every step of the way.   Tao could come to Yixing for any troubles, for reassurance, for encouragement, for a friend. And he should come to Yixing for all of those things because the older would gladly provide them all for him. He would give them willingly to a ready to receive Tao. There would be no collateral to go along with it, but Tao had to trust him. It was mandatory and singularly one of the hardest things for Tao to do. He didn't know why, in essence, Tao trusted Amber more than he trusted him. Mutually, Amber and Yixing was there for him whenever he needed them both, but he wandered off in her direction as soon as he caught wind that she would gladly accept him. Oddly, Tao reacted completely different to Yixing's gladly accepting him.   He didn't know what to make of that, didn't know if he should make something of it.   It was his only worry, justifiably stupid seeing that Tao was a grown kid, but a worry nonetheless.     ~~~~~~~~     Xiumin stared at the instruction manual that would help him, no, Luhan – definitely no – Sehun, put the baby's bed together. It would have been nice to buy one already set up, and Luhan could definitely afford it, but he wanted to show that he could at least put a crib together for his son.   In truth, he wanted to save money, but the pretense of being manly was a good enough excuse for the seller at that time.   As soon as they carried the set into the apartment they were moving into, the sooner Luhan ditched both Xiumin and the newly arrived Sehun to work out how they would set it up. Xiumin rolled his eyes before making it quite known that he would not be punked into setting up a bed for Luhan. That left Sehun, who not only didn't trust Luhan to set up the bed anyway, but was the only mechanically inclined one present in the first place. Xiumin couldn't find it in himself to leave the only hard worker in the room alone, so he tried his hardest to make out what the manual was telling him without adding too much ignorance to his lack of knowledge about screws, deadbolts, and that 'C' word he couldn't pronounce.   Sehun was getting along pretty well without the manual and for that Xiumin was thankful, especially when Luhan kept interrupting them by offering them drinks.    He wanted a drink, needed one!   They had went out shopping for a crib and other necessities weeks ago. Since then, they had been seeing each other quite frequently since Xiumin just could not trust Luhan to be on his own while picking out any kind of material for the apartment. It wasn't that Luhan was incapable or had bad taste in designs. No, he was rather talented in that department, but his overly cheap nature made it impossible for him to find something was was sturdy enough to last, in essence, a complete bachelor's pad.   It was driving Xiumin insane, and the thought of drinking in the middle of the day appealed to him more and more with each offer.   “Luhan, go away,” he practically growled. Sehun laughed, showing just how used to Luhan's behavior he was. It was depressing.   “Xiumin,” he whined. “It's no fun drinking alone!”   “Why are you drinking? You just woke up two hours ago to pick up this crib! Its not even late noon yet!”   “Guys,” Sehun intercepted. “Let's not argue today, Ok?”   Xiumin grabbed the beer bottle from Luhan's hand after eying him disdainfully. Near immediacy did he gulp down the drink prior to ripping the top off of it. He looked thirsty to Luhan, but to Sehun it was obvious Xiumin was tired of dealing with his older brother amongst other life issues.   “Wow, someone was parched. Want another,” Luhan smirked.   “No!” Xiumin barked, shoving the empty beer bottle into Luhan's hand and storming out of the room. Luhan lazily watched him leave before directing his attention to Sehun disturbingly clearing his throat.   “I don't know how he is still friends with you. It's not r

And the more further I get in this story, the more I realize/think Nana is so selfish and vain. She may be fare when it come to salaries, but at the end it's just all about her..
