DongHae's secret boyfriend

Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

“Okay then” Aoi nods and looks at Uruha and puts an arm around his shoulders “Let’s have fun tonight”

Uruha smiles “We always do” he winks at Aoi who pushes him away and laughs. His finger pokes Uruha’s forehead “You got a filthy mind”

Uruha chuckles “Not more so than anyone else” he lashes on to Aoi’s arm and leans places his chin on his shoulder “Why aren’t you gay Aoi?”

Aoi chuckles “What are you done with DooJoon?”

Uruha sighs “Nope. But I still could use a hug while I wait for him to come around” He sends Aoi a loving look and Aoi laughs and pulls him in for a hug “I don’t have to be gay to give you a hug” Out of the corner of his eye Aoi spots DooJoon watching them from his seat in the bar. He hugs his friend a bit tighter “You are too good for him anyway Uruha”

Uruha chuckles “You are too nice”

“I mean it” Aoi turns his whole face towards DooJoon “A player for a boyfriend… is that really what you want?”

He knows DooJoon can’t hear them but he is sure he saw some kind of twitch in DooJoon’s face. Uruha steps back “I don’t care, he will be mine!” He grins happily and starts walking towards the stairs leading to the upper floor. Aoi laughs and shakes his head. His phone breaks his attention and he calls out for Uruha “Yah I’m gonna go talk to Seungho”

“Sure thing” Uruha yells back and keeps going relentlessly towards the stairs. When he gets there he takes a seat on one of the lower steps and looks into the club. He leans against the wall and takes a deep breath. He moves his head a bit seeing DooJon walking away from the bar towards the stage. Probably to make sure everything is ready.

“Why are you sitting here?”

Uruha turns his head and looks up seeing DongHae walking down towards him. He sends him a smile “Just sitting”

DongHae raises a brow and takes a seat next to him “What’s up?”

Uruha shrugs “Not much”

DongHae gives him a push “Why are you down?”

“I’m not down” Uruha straightens his back and smiles big but DongHae just sends him an unimpressed expression. Uruha sighs and relaxes placing his arms on his knees and his head on top of that “Just DooJoon”

DongHae nods “Yea I heard you got a thing for him”

Uruha sends him a look “Well if you didn’t know you are blind. Everyone knows. He knows”

DongHae grins and scratches his neck “I was trying to be subtle” Uruha laughs and shakes his head “No need” he looks at DongHae who looks down for a while and then looks up “You really think you will get him in the end?”

“Yea” Uruha looks ahead and nods

“How can you be so sure?” DongHae frowns a bit. He can’t help but admire how determined Uruha is.

Uruha sighs and tilts his head “I just do” He chuckles and looks at DongHae “I just need him to figure out that I’m not just…” he shrugs “I don’t even know. I just know I want to be with him always”

DongHae nods “I know that feeling”

Uruha turns his head and smirks “You never talk about your personal life you know”

“I do” DongHae frowns.

Uruha shakes his head “No you don’t. You are very good at making others talk though”

DongHae laughs “Well I’m a good bartender then”

“You got a special someone?” Uruha looks directly at DongHae who starts blushing right away making Uruha all giddy. He starts poking DongHae “Tell me about her”

DongHae swallows and looks down “It’s not…” he hesitates and looks around “His name is EunHyuk”

Uruha’s eyes goes huge “He?”

DongHae nods and his head drops but can’t help but laugh when Uruha gives him the biggest hug ever “I’m not alone” He happily exclaims kissing DongHae’s cheek. DongHae just keeps laughing and sends a quick look around to see if anyone is paying attention to them. For a second he spots DooJoon looking their way with a frown but DooJoon quickly turns and walks away.

DongHae smirks a little *Was that jealousy?*

Uruha moves back and hits DongHae “Why the hell didn’t I know that?”

DongHae shrugs “You never asked”

“Why would I ask that?” Uruha laughs and hits DongHae again “Damn”

DongHae looks at Uruha “I know I should have told you”

Uruha nods vigorously “Hell yeah you should” He grins at DongHae “How long?”

“2 years” DongHae smiles back at Uruha who grins even bigger “Congratz”

DongHae looks down again with a huge smile plastered on his face. “When do I get to meet him?” Uruha leans against DongHae and sends him an adoring smile.

DongHae frowns a little “You want to meet him?”

“Yeah sure” Uruha blinks his eyes and then frowns a little “Wait two years…. That is serious… We have been friends since you started here…” He moves away “You don’t want people to know do you?”

DongHae looks down frowning a bit harder “It’s not that I don’t want people to but I just… Actually it is for him” His eyes wander over the floor “If his boss found out... He is very old fashion and EunHyuk fears that if his boss knew he was seeing a guy he wouldn’t get any good stories” DongHae looks at Uruha “He is a journalist”

Uruha nods “I see” He sighs and leans back “Well I do understand that” He smiles at DongHae “It’s not easy being gay is it? I still like to meet him though”

DongHae nods “I’d like that”

“So you don’t want people here knowing you are gay?” Uruha frowns a little. DongHae shrugs “I don’t actually care if people know. I just don’t want everyone to know who I am dating”

“So I can tell people that you are gay?” Uruha smirks

DongHae laughs “Yeah sure but why?”

“Because it is something to be proud of and you know no one would treat you any differently” Uruha leans against DongHae’s arm and smiles “Ruki is my best friend but he is such a homophobe sometimes. It gets lonely being me. I can’t really talk about girls with anyone and no one wants to talk about guys with me”

DongHae nods “Well then I’m here for you. We’ll find a day when you can meet my man okay”

“Soon” Uruha adds with a grin.

“Yeah soon” DongHae nods. They both smile when Ruki comes over to them “We are opening in 15 minutes… why are you down here?” Ruki frowns at DongHae who jumps up “Shiit!” He runs up the stairs and Ruki crosses his arms “Uruha come on”

Uruha stands up and he and Ruki join Aoi and DooJoon backstage. DooJoon is as always up first but the others stays there until they have to go on. Uruha notices right away that DooJoon is keeping his back to him but he does that from time to time if he wants Uruha to be sure he stands no chance so he just figures Ruki gave him another one of his don’t-lead-him-on speeches. Uruha sends Ruki a smile. Ruki might be younger but he always look out for him.

“What were you and DongHae talking about” Ruki drops on the couch and immediately makes himself comfortable.

“Just found out I’m not alone” Uruha smirks and checks himself out in a mirror making sure he is looking good.

“You are never alone” Aoi mumbles while reading in a book he always has lying backstage. Ruki nods “There are always people around you”

Uruha chuckles “Not like that” He crosses his arms and smiles happily.

“Wait” Ruki smirks “DongHae is gay isn’t he?”

Aoi looks up from his book and DooJoon turns a bit and looks at Uruha who just keeps grinning “Yup”

“Why the hell didn’t we know that?” Aoi mumbles

Uruha walks over and drops down next to him “We didn’t ask… apparently”

DooJoon just looks at Uruha who is looking so happy and excited.

“DooJoon…” Ruki calls out but DooJoon doesn’t respond so Ruki gives him a push “Dude you are up”

“Right” DooJoon changes his focus to Ruki for a second and then walks out. Ruki frowns after him. Aoi has returned his focus to his book. Uruha jumps up “He forgot bracelet!”

DooJoon has a special bracelet which he always wears at work. It is a kind of ritual for him and Uruha knows how much DooJoon loves that bracelet. It isn’t really anything more than a leather string but nonetheless it is important to him.

Uruha quickly grasps the bracelet and runs after DooJoon.

He spots him just as he is about to walk through the door to the stage and runs over stopping him by the arm “You forgot this” he holds up the bracelet.

DooJoon looks at Uruha’s hand “ right” He tries taking the bracelet from Uruha who moves his hand away “Let me”

DooJoon raises a brow “Uruha…”

Uruha just smirks

“I have to go on now!” DooJoon impatiently rubs his neck “Just give it to me”

“No let me” Uruha grins “The sooner you let me the sooner you can go on stage”

DooJoon sighs “Fine” he puts out his hand and watch how Uruha’s slender fingers moves the bracelet around his wrist. He looks up at Uruha’s smiling face wondering what it meant that DongHae, who is well known as one of the most handsome guys in the club, got a kiss from Uruha.

“DooJoon…” Uruha chuckles and looks at DooJoon who snaps out of his line of thoughts

“You are late” Uruha points behind DooJoon. “Oh ” DooJoon quickly hurries out on stage and Uruha moves back to the backstage room. When he enters Ruki is looking over Aoi’s shoulder at the book commenting on how boring it looks. Aoi just ignores him.

Uruha walks over and takes the book away “What are you reading?”

Aoi sighs “Just a random book. It’s boring sitting here waiting”

Ruki jumps over the back of the couch and places himself with his head on Aoi’s thigh “I’m gonna take a nap till I have to go on”

Uruha drops down on the couch on Aoi’s other side and leans against his shoulder while hugging his arm “Good idea”

Aoi chuckles and looks from one to the other “Why am I the pillow?”

“Because Seungho isn’t here” Ruki mumbles tiredly. Aoi sighs and nods “Fair enough”

Chapter 28: This is very interesting...I remember a part about Uruha having relationship problems, himself, although of a different nature than Doojoon's.
What is it that Doojoon will have to find out?
hehe~ you seem to be deliberately putting Doojoon back into his arrogant, protective character ^^ I like how they are mutually submissive ^^ It suggests the equality that ought to be in a real relationship :)
That's one thing I particularly like about this story- the characters' reactions and the way in which Doojoon and Uruha are progressing with their relationship.
I'm very interested by this "secret detail" that seems to be undisclosed to Doojoon, though. Hopefully it won't have a negative impact on his and Uruha's new relationship...

Chapter 27: I certainly have enjoyed this chapter just as much as the last^^
I hadn't ever really thought of it, but now that it seems as though Doojoon is being portrayed as the delicate one in the relationship, or, as a commonplace term, the "submissive", I can say that I find this newfound fragility in Doojoon to be quite tasteful. It's really quite a nice inversion; a stray away from the conventionality of what might be expected from any pairing involving Doojoon and I really like it ^^ Somehow, it certainly seems much more realistic that someone as unsure of himself, as frightened and as estranged from love as Doojoon is, would need someone to take care of him both physically and emotionally. And it just seems appropriate that that someone is Uruha, no matter how pretty or "girly" Uruha's appearance might make him out to be.
It seems like a theme in this story- not judging someone by their appearances or reputation ^^ Like how "player" and "manly" Doojoon certainly has a full range of emotions, as does anyone else, and is by far much more hurt than anyone would ever have perceived. And how Uruha, who seems to be publicly more of a flamboyant type of person, attentive to his implied feminine appearance seems to be the one who can offer Doojoon a sense of safety and protection that he seems not to have ever had before.
Uruha kissing Doojoon's palm is such a tender moment in the story ^^ And, having read and written some mpreg, myself, Uruha wrapping his arms around Doojoon's stomach gave me a faint impression of Doojoon having a baby or something hehe~ ^^' (my mind out of wraps...) but a very loving gesture, indeed ^^

Chapter 26: Yes, yes YES!!!!!!! :D
This chapter made my day, even though it's just starting ^^
I'm so glad it wasn't Doojoon's fault and that girl is just horrible DX.
Yay!!! Uruha asked Doojoon out again!! :D
They're already so cute together and poor Doojoon when he wanted 'his' Uruha ^^ he seems so fragile in this chapter and I liked that ^^

Chapter 25: Oh no...! :(
Doojoon...! What have you done...?!
I have a pretty bad feeling for how things are going to go for Doojoon now... Actually not so much in terms of a relationship, but I think Doojoon himself is going to suffer a lot with what happened...I feel like he's going to give up on himself, not just on a relationship with Uruha but give up on himself as a person...

Chapter 24: This is one of my favorite chapters ^^
I really like Doojoon's dad and how he so easily accepted that his son is in love with a man :)
The chapter was so full of warmth and love and this chapter, more than any other, really shows how Doojoon had changed. It's great to see that he really is love with Uruha and that he's reconciled with his father. It certainly seems necessary for him to love his family before entering into a relationship with Uruha.
It was actually quite striking to hear how Doojoon's father married a year ago and Doojoo wasn't even aware of it. It shows just how distant from those close to him he became.
Hopefully Yoonja's daughter won't give Doojoon a hard time... ^^'
It would be very interesting, indeed, to see Uruha meet Doojoon's parents ^^
and hopefully Doojoon will fnd some solace about his relationship with his mother. That rejection when he was only seven must have been terrible.

Chapter 23: :'(
What an emotional chapter!! It was great, but poor Doojoon! It seems like this was really the breaking point for him,but I'm actually glad that he got so many negative feelings out in the open. It seemed like a necessary thing to do and now people know exactly how he's feeling. I think it is time that he's given a little more care and support ^^ and I think that the fact that he went to apologize to Donghae shows that he is changing and him pushing Donghae out of the way is proof of the good person that Uruha sees in him :D
I really love the realism in this- how Uruha's not plunging into a relationship, but not giving up on Doojoon, either and how Doojoon's coming to face himself :)

Chapter 22: <3
Thank you for thinking of me ^^~ And my exams did go well ^^
That's okay! You take your time in updating- I always love reading this story and I will patiently await your updates :D

I was really glad that Uruha and Doojoon privately spoke with each other in this chapter and that Uruha noticed not only the effort that Doojoon has been applying in trying to change, but also how Doojoon's been struggling with a rather rude confrontation of his faults. I think that having bad feelings go unacknowledge by others is just as bad as dealing with those feelings alone and I was happy that Uruha stood up for Doojoon, despite how much trouble Doojoon's put him through. Doojoon certainly does deserve some notice for his genuine efforts to change.
I like how Uruha is just as protective of Doojoon as Doojoon seems to be over Uruha ^^~ And there was really quite a bit of wisdom in this chapter, about having to trust yourself first, before expecting others to trust you.
I think the seriousness with which Uruha told Doojoon that he liked him and shouldn't let people tell him that he's heartless had quite an impact on Doojoon. It seems to me that this may have been one of the first times, if not the only time, that someone has really seen Doojoon's vulnerability and said to still have feelings for him, regardless. It feels like this sort of reassurance and support is not at all something that Doojoon would have received, prior to speaking with Uruha, on account of his mother not being in his life anymore.
hehe~ in my opinion, there should be even more subscribers for this story! ^^ Although there are not many jrock stories on here and even less "cross-overs", I think that there is a significant audience for this and this is a really awesome story ^^
