What happened to Uruha

Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

At Uruha’s apartment things are a messed up. The normally neat apartment is looking very messy and Uruha is sleeping on the floor while someone is banging on the door.

He couldn’t really sleep after DooJoon left so he ended up pacing around his places knocking stuff over when small angry outburst took over him. He was mad at DooJoon for leaving, he was mad at him for coming and he was mad at himself for having kissed DooJoon and for letting him go.

The knocks on the door continues but Uruha has no intentions of opening. He just wants to be left alone, preferably till he dies of shame.

He pouts unhappily when he hears the sound of keys remembering that Ruki, Aoi and Seungho have his key just like he has theirs.

“Uruha!” the door is opens and several feet come in.

“What the hell happened here?” Ruki yells while DongHae and EunHyuk quickly search the place till they find Uruha behind the couch.

“ did he do this?” EunHyuk snares

“I’m fine” Uruha mumbles “Go away”

DongHae pulls Uruha’s arm and forces him to look at him “You don’t look fine”

“What happened here?!” Ruki yells louder and runs over to Uruha getting immediately worried “Oh no don’t tell me…”

Uruha jerks into a sitting position “No” he sends Ruki a stern stare and Ruki breathes a little easier “It just looks like when…”

“No” Uruha repeats and Ruki shuts up and looks away. EunHyuk and DongHae exchanges confused looks as Uruha rubs his temples and sighs

“Is DooJoon here?” DongHae carefully asks. Uruha looks at him and then EunHyuk immediately seeing his expression darken

“No I told him to leave” Uruha mumbles pulling his knees closer to himself and hugs them

“You did?” DongHae frowns “But when we left you looked… happy”

Ruki is now frowning “What was DooJoon doing here?”

“Punching my boyfriend” EunHyuk snares and gets a push from DongHae.

“He what?” Ruki frowns and looks at DongHae

“He was just jealous because I was touching Uruha” DongHae shakes his head and sighs

“You were what?” Ruki yells a little louder

EunHyuk sighs “We have been trying to make DooJoon jealous and it worked”

“You guys did what?” Ruki frowns completely stunned and very confused. He looks at Uruha in disbelief “I never took you for a person who would do that?”

Uruha pouts “It was a stupid idea”

EunHyuk frowns “What happened after we left?”

Ruki is about to say something but EunHyuk, who has never met Ruki before, covers his mouth with a hand and sends him a look very clearly letting him know he has to shut up. Ruki grunts and crosses his arms clearly not pleased but he does as told regardless.

“He said he wanted to be with me but that he had only wanted it one day and I got scared. He said he would prove himself and said he would do anything but when he asked what I wanted him to do I realized that I don’t trust him and I don’t think I will” Uruha stares blankly ahead of him as he talks “Then he left”

“Just like that he left?” DongHae frowns

Uruha sighs deeply “Because I told him to”

“So… DooJoon is gay?” Ruki frowns and scratches his neck.

“When did he leave?” DongHae Uruha’s back

“I don’t know” Uruha mumbles. DongHae sends a look to his boyfriend who is looking concerned. He sighs and pulls Uruha up “You need to sleep in a bed”

Uruha shakes his head “I have to clean up”

“No I’ll do that” Ruki quickly starts cleaning up. EunHyuk frowns and looks at Ruki who stops and looks at him “He won’t sleep till the mess is gone. Trust me”

EunHyuk nods and starts cleaning up as well while DongHae gets Uruha in bed. Ruki sends glances to EunHyuk every now and then “You are DongHae’s boyfriend?”

EunHyuk nods “Yup through 2 years” he looks at Ruki hesitating before asking a question he has been thinking about “Is this way of being in love normal for Uruha? You know like liking someone who hurts him”

Ruki keeps picking up stuff and puts them back in place thinking it over “Normally when Uruha likes someone they fall for him pretty quickly as well so not really” He glances at EunHyuk

“How does he handle break ups?”

“Uruha is always the one doing the breaking up so fine. His boyfriends used to get kind of possessive and he hated it”

“DooJoon could be very possessive judging by the fact that he almost attacked DongHae” EunHyuk mumbles “But off course they did make him jealous”

“This was more… Like they kept calling him and stalked him when he was out and I actually had some problems with them because they didn’t like that I was closer with him then them and that is where Uruha says stop” Ruki grins “No one is gonna try to split us up. His boyfriend used to hate Aoi and Seungho as well and Uruha just can’t stand that kind of jealousy. Most people have the idea that he is a sweet mellow person who is about as innocent as one can be and needs someone to look after him”

“Well yea” EunHyuk frowns “Isn’t that right?”

Ruki stops biting his lip considering if he even trust this stranger “More lately than he used to”

“How so?” EunHyuk stops and looks at Ruki who shakes his head and looks down to the side “I have known Uruha since we were like 5 when I hit him because I thought he looked too happy”

“He looked too happy?” EunHyuk chuckles

“I was a very angry child” Ruki chuckles “He apologized to me and said he was sorry and that he would be sadder. I said he was stupid and he hit me back and we have pretty much been friends ever since”

Eunhyuk laughs and shakes his head “That is a weird story”

Ruki nods “We grew up together and we weren’t exactly the pride of our families. We always got in problems and never really cared about pleasing anyone. Uruha is a smart guy so he still managed to get good grades but I was a huge failure” Ruki looks at EunHyuk “We drank, smoked, mingled with the wrong people until we met Seungho who straightened us out. Actually he broke my arm but that is a whole other story” Ruki chuckles “Uruha has always been the type people like but he actually used to be quite a tease. He quickly figured out that people found him charming and he would use it to get his way, mostly to get me out of problems. Uruha has always been able to handle every situation better than most”

EunHyuk smiles “I could see that”

Ruki nods and frowns

“But?” EunHyuk can see something is on Ruki’s mind. He isn’t a journalist for nothing

Ruki looks at him “Uruha is a strong person, stronger than he looks. Maybe not physically but mentally he is so that he get’s this messed up because of DooJoon… I don’t know if it is just DooJoon or if something ripped open an old wound but I’m worried”

“What happened to Uruha?” EunHyuk frowns

“What do you mean?”

“Old wounds?”

Ruki taps his fingers against his leg “We don’t talk about it and I’m not gonna start. You better just forget I said anything”

EunHyuk nods “Okay” They quickly gets back to cleaning up and shortly after DongHae returns “He is sleeping now”

Ruki nods “I’m gonna stay here so he isn’t alone when he wakes up. Did he say anything?”

“Just that he hates himself for hating DooJoon… and himself” Donghae sighs “I could stay if you don’t want to”

“No I better stay here. If I leave I’ll just hunt down DooJoon and kill him” Ruki mumbles

“Can I come with you?” EunHyuk smirks

“EunHyuk he was very upset. You saw him!” DongHae walks over and pushes EunHyuk who just smiles and slides an arm around DongHae’s back “I saw them hugging and that is about it”

“Well he was upset” DongHae tries to stay mad but the loving way EunHyuk looks at him puts a smile on his face “I hate you when you do that” he softly says looking at EunHyuk’s lips

“Do what?” EunHyuk leans closer

“Act so damn loving” DongHae smiles and gives up. He lets EunHyuk pulls him into a tight embrace and kisses him tenderly.

Ruki turns his back and frowns “Bloody stupid bananas and mental images” he walks into Uruha’s bedroom and sits on the bed next to him “I’m not leaving your side my friend. Not this time” He sighs and frowns with horrible images returning to his mind.

Chapter 28: This is very interesting...I remember a part about Uruha having relationship problems, himself, although of a different nature than Doojoon's.
What is it that Doojoon will have to find out?
hehe~ you seem to be deliberately putting Doojoon back into his arrogant, protective character ^^ I like how they are mutually submissive ^^ It suggests the equality that ought to be in a real relationship :)
That's one thing I particularly like about this story- the characters' reactions and the way in which Doojoon and Uruha are progressing with their relationship.
I'm very interested by this "secret detail" that seems to be undisclosed to Doojoon, though. Hopefully it won't have a negative impact on his and Uruha's new relationship...

Chapter 27: I certainly have enjoyed this chapter just as much as the last^^
I hadn't ever really thought of it, but now that it seems as though Doojoon is being portrayed as the delicate one in the relationship, or, as a commonplace term, the "submissive", I can say that I find this newfound fragility in Doojoon to be quite tasteful. It's really quite a nice inversion; a stray away from the conventionality of what might be expected from any pairing involving Doojoon and I really like it ^^ Somehow, it certainly seems much more realistic that someone as unsure of himself, as frightened and as estranged from love as Doojoon is, would need someone to take care of him both physically and emotionally. And it just seems appropriate that that someone is Uruha, no matter how pretty or "girly" Uruha's appearance might make him out to be.
It seems like a theme in this story- not judging someone by their appearances or reputation ^^ Like how "player" and "manly" Doojoon certainly has a full range of emotions, as does anyone else, and is by far much more hurt than anyone would ever have perceived. And how Uruha, who seems to be publicly more of a flamboyant type of person, attentive to his implied feminine appearance seems to be the one who can offer Doojoon a sense of safety and protection that he seems not to have ever had before.
Uruha kissing Doojoon's palm is such a tender moment in the story ^^ And, having read and written some mpreg, myself, Uruha wrapping his arms around Doojoon's stomach gave me a faint impression of Doojoon having a baby or something hehe~ ^^' (my mind out of wraps...) but a very loving gesture, indeed ^^

Chapter 26: Yes, yes YES!!!!!!! :D
This chapter made my day, even though it's just starting ^^
I'm so glad it wasn't Doojoon's fault and that girl is just horrible DX.
Yay!!! Uruha asked Doojoon out again!! :D
They're already so cute together and poor Doojoon when he wanted 'his' Uruha ^^ he seems so fragile in this chapter and I liked that ^^

Chapter 25: Oh no...! :(
Doojoon...! What have you done...?!
I have a pretty bad feeling for how things are going to go for Doojoon now... Actually not so much in terms of a relationship, but I think Doojoon himself is going to suffer a lot with what happened...I feel like he's going to give up on himself, not just on a relationship with Uruha but give up on himself as a person...

Chapter 24: This is one of my favorite chapters ^^
I really like Doojoon's dad and how he so easily accepted that his son is in love with a man :)
The chapter was so full of warmth and love and this chapter, more than any other, really shows how Doojoon had changed. It's great to see that he really is love with Uruha and that he's reconciled with his father. It certainly seems necessary for him to love his family before entering into a relationship with Uruha.
It was actually quite striking to hear how Doojoon's father married a year ago and Doojoo wasn't even aware of it. It shows just how distant from those close to him he became.
Hopefully Yoonja's daughter won't give Doojoon a hard time... ^^'
It would be very interesting, indeed, to see Uruha meet Doojoon's parents ^^
and hopefully Doojoon will fnd some solace about his relationship with his mother. That rejection when he was only seven must have been terrible.

Chapter 23: :'(
What an emotional chapter!! It was great, but poor Doojoon! It seems like this was really the breaking point for him,but I'm actually glad that he got so many negative feelings out in the open. It seemed like a necessary thing to do and now people know exactly how he's feeling. I think it is time that he's given a little more care and support ^^ and I think that the fact that he went to apologize to Donghae shows that he is changing and him pushing Donghae out of the way is proof of the good person that Uruha sees in him :D
I really love the realism in this- how Uruha's not plunging into a relationship, but not giving up on Doojoon, either and how Doojoon's coming to face himself :)

Chapter 22: <3
Thank you for thinking of me ^^~ And my exams did go well ^^
That's okay! You take your time in updating- I always love reading this story and I will patiently await your updates :D

I was really glad that Uruha and Doojoon privately spoke with each other in this chapter and that Uruha noticed not only the effort that Doojoon has been applying in trying to change, but also how Doojoon's been struggling with a rather rude confrontation of his faults. I think that having bad feelings go unacknowledge by others is just as bad as dealing with those feelings alone and I was happy that Uruha stood up for Doojoon, despite how much trouble Doojoon's put him through. Doojoon certainly does deserve some notice for his genuine efforts to change.
I like how Uruha is just as protective of Doojoon as Doojoon seems to be over Uruha ^^~ And there was really quite a bit of wisdom in this chapter, about having to trust yourself first, before expecting others to trust you.
I think the seriousness with which Uruha told Doojoon that he liked him and shouldn't let people tell him that he's heartless had quite an impact on Doojoon. It seems to me that this may have been one of the first times, if not the only time, that someone has really seen Doojoon's vulnerability and said to still have feelings for him, regardless. It feels like this sort of reassurance and support is not at all something that Doojoon would have received, prior to speaking with Uruha, on account of his mother not being in his life anymore.
hehe~ in my opinion, there should be even more subscribers for this story! ^^ Although there are not many jrock stories on here and even less "cross-overs", I think that there is a significant audience for this and this is a really awesome story ^^
