You want to change?

Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

“DooJoon wake up” Gi Kwang pushes DooJoon of the couch and he falls onto the floor with a loud bang.

“Why?” DooJoon whines and pushes himself up rubbing his head “You forgave me already! Why are you pushing me?” he yarns and frowns

“Well shaking you didn’t work” Gi Kwang leans his elbows on the back and smirks “Yelling at you didn’t work either so I was running out of ideas”

DooJoon grunts and looks around. A pout forms on his lips and he starts looking unhappy.

“What?” Gi Kwang frowns

“I just remembered I got shot down for the first time in my life” DooJoon lies back on the floor hiding his face in his hands and stomps “Just kill me”

Gi Kwang shakes his head “I had no idea you would be that pathetic, DooJoon everyone gets shot down once in a while”

“I don’t” DooJoon sighs and turns his head to look at Gi Kwang “Never before have anyone turned me down”

“Karma DooJoon” Gi Kwang doesn’t really feel that bad for DooJoon who seems to be feeling plenty sorry for himself.

“What do you mean karma?” DooJoon frowns

Gi Kwang huffs “Are you seriously asking me that? Why is it he turned you down?”

DooJoon looks away “I get it”

“No I think you should say it out loud” Gi Kwang coldly says

DooJoon takes a deep breath “I don’t see the point”

“DooJoon you are so stubborn!” Gi Kwang snaps “You want my help or what? You can just go back to being a jerk again if that is what you want!”

DooJoon sits up and ruffles his hair “I’m not… that bad…” he sends a glance to Gi Kwang and then sighs and looks down “Sorry”

Gi Kwang shakes his head and looks away “DooJoon what do you actually want?”

DooJoon moves up on the couch and rubs his temples “I don’t know”

Gi Kwang shakes his head again “What about Uruha? Was it just in the moment? You couldn’t get what you want so you were ready to take it and now you are over him?”

DooJoon sits silently and thinks. He frowns and moves a hand to his chest rubbing the spot over his heart. Gi Kwang takes his silence as a sign that he might have just hit the nail on the spot.

“I…” DooJoon tries to really feel what goes on in him but it isn’t something he normally does and he can’t seem to make much sense of it.

“DooJoon you told Uruha you were in love with him. You practically forced yourself on him and now you are over it! Is it really that strange that he was afraid of getting hurt!” Gi Kwang yells

DooJoon lowers his head “I’m not… over it” his voice is low and he can’t really recognize it himself. Gi Kwang is just staring at DooJoon.

DooJoon looks down at his hands “When I think about Uruha I just see us laughing together. I want to hold his hands and make sure he always has a smile on his face. I want him to look like he did in the short moment he was happy with me” DooJoon scratches his chest “When you woke me up I was dreaming about us watching a movie together. How stupid as that?” he smiles a little “Just the idea of sitting in a couch with him watching him laughing about something stupid while I’m holding his hand… I don’t even care that he is a guy all that just have to work out because…”

“Hold it” Gi Kwang frowns “Are you saying that you aren’t wanting him for ?”

DooJoon looks a bit awkward “I don’t even know how to be with a guy. It scares the out of me to be honest”

Gi Kwang laughs and pushes DooJoon “You are a weird one DooJoon”

DooJoon smiles crookedly and frowns “It’s not that I don’t find him attractive. He is very beautiful but I really have no idea what to do with… that”

“I bet Uruha knows” Gi Kwang chuckles

DooJoon frowns “Right…” he starts feeling a bit annoyed and crosses his arms “He has been with other guys…”

Gi Kwang raises an eyebrow “Are you getting jealous?”

DooJoon scratches his head with both hands “Yes and it annoys the hell out of me”

Gi Kwang laughs again “Like you are so innocent”

“I know I’m not but to me it is only and doesn’t mean . Uruha being who he is he must have cared for the ones he has been with” DooJoon kicks the table more annoyed than before.

Gi Kwang reaches out and pats DooJoon on the back “You are probably right”

“I only want him to care for me!” DooJoon snaps and hides his face in his hands “I hate feeling like this! He is just a person, just some bloody guy why am I getting so messed up over him?!”

Gi Kwang smiles a little “Love does that” he pats DooJoon on the back again before getting up and walks towards the kitchen. DooJoon frowns and looks after Gi Kwang “Have you been in love?”

“Off course I have” Gi Kwang says shortly

“Not in Uruha right?” DooJoon mumbles

“No… Uruha… Maybe if he hadn’t been so in love with you I might have been but I could see it would be hopeless” he smiles at DooJoon who doesn’t really seem to feel better hearing that.

“Who then? You never told me” DooJoon tilts his head

“Like I was gonna” Gi Kwang smirks back at him “You who always says love is nothing more than a bad idea someone made up”

“Well right now it doesn’t really seem like a good one!” DooJoon snaps and gets up from the couch following Gi Kwang “Who were you in love with?”

“It doesn’t matter” Gi Kwang opens the fridge and fishes out some food

“Yes it does” DooJoon frowns “Gi Kwang why didn’t you tell me you had a girlfriend?”

“I didn’t” Gi Kwang looks at DooJoon

“A boyfriend?” DooJoon crosses his arms and leans against the counter. He has known for a long time that Gi Kwang swings both ways and he never had a problem with it. He loves Gi Kwang as a brother even though they don’t always see eye to eye and he is actually a bit hurt that Gi Kwang don’t think he could tell him stuff like him being in love.

Gi Kwang sighs “No it was a girl and nothing ever came of it and I don’t really want to talk about it”

“Why not?” DooJoon starts becoming insistent

“Because it’s really none of your business!” Gi Kwang snaps

DooJoon huffs “Right…”

“Go take a shower DooJoon. You smell” Gi Kwang waves a hand and scowls at DooJoon.

DooJoon nods “I’m sorry you don’t feel like you can tell me something like that”

“Just go take the bloody shower” Gi Kwand grunts and watch DooJoon walk away. He turns his attention back to the food “Nothing happened with me and her because she met you DooJoon” he mumbles. A deep sigh from him seems to bring the normally cosy atmosphere down. He looks over his shoulder while tapping his finger on the counter.

“You want to change…? Well first step would be to realize just how bad you have been acting”

Chapter 28: This is very interesting...I remember a part about Uruha having relationship problems, himself, although of a different nature than Doojoon's.
What is it that Doojoon will have to find out?
hehe~ you seem to be deliberately putting Doojoon back into his arrogant, protective character ^^ I like how they are mutually submissive ^^ It suggests the equality that ought to be in a real relationship :)
That's one thing I particularly like about this story- the characters' reactions and the way in which Doojoon and Uruha are progressing with their relationship.
I'm very interested by this "secret detail" that seems to be undisclosed to Doojoon, though. Hopefully it won't have a negative impact on his and Uruha's new relationship...

Chapter 27: I certainly have enjoyed this chapter just as much as the last^^
I hadn't ever really thought of it, but now that it seems as though Doojoon is being portrayed as the delicate one in the relationship, or, as a commonplace term, the "submissive", I can say that I find this newfound fragility in Doojoon to be quite tasteful. It's really quite a nice inversion; a stray away from the conventionality of what might be expected from any pairing involving Doojoon and I really like it ^^ Somehow, it certainly seems much more realistic that someone as unsure of himself, as frightened and as estranged from love as Doojoon is, would need someone to take care of him both physically and emotionally. And it just seems appropriate that that someone is Uruha, no matter how pretty or "girly" Uruha's appearance might make him out to be.
It seems like a theme in this story- not judging someone by their appearances or reputation ^^ Like how "player" and "manly" Doojoon certainly has a full range of emotions, as does anyone else, and is by far much more hurt than anyone would ever have perceived. And how Uruha, who seems to be publicly more of a flamboyant type of person, attentive to his implied feminine appearance seems to be the one who can offer Doojoon a sense of safety and protection that he seems not to have ever had before.
Uruha kissing Doojoon's palm is such a tender moment in the story ^^ And, having read and written some mpreg, myself, Uruha wrapping his arms around Doojoon's stomach gave me a faint impression of Doojoon having a baby or something hehe~ ^^' (my mind out of wraps...) but a very loving gesture, indeed ^^

Chapter 26: Yes, yes YES!!!!!!! :D
This chapter made my day, even though it's just starting ^^
I'm so glad it wasn't Doojoon's fault and that girl is just horrible DX.
Yay!!! Uruha asked Doojoon out again!! :D
They're already so cute together and poor Doojoon when he wanted 'his' Uruha ^^ he seems so fragile in this chapter and I liked that ^^

Chapter 25: Oh no...! :(
Doojoon...! What have you done...?!
I have a pretty bad feeling for how things are going to go for Doojoon now... Actually not so much in terms of a relationship, but I think Doojoon himself is going to suffer a lot with what happened...I feel like he's going to give up on himself, not just on a relationship with Uruha but give up on himself as a person...

Chapter 24: This is one of my favorite chapters ^^
I really like Doojoon's dad and how he so easily accepted that his son is in love with a man :)
The chapter was so full of warmth and love and this chapter, more than any other, really shows how Doojoon had changed. It's great to see that he really is love with Uruha and that he's reconciled with his father. It certainly seems necessary for him to love his family before entering into a relationship with Uruha.
It was actually quite striking to hear how Doojoon's father married a year ago and Doojoo wasn't even aware of it. It shows just how distant from those close to him he became.
Hopefully Yoonja's daughter won't give Doojoon a hard time... ^^'
It would be very interesting, indeed, to see Uruha meet Doojoon's parents ^^
and hopefully Doojoon will fnd some solace about his relationship with his mother. That rejection when he was only seven must have been terrible.

Chapter 23: :'(
What an emotional chapter!! It was great, but poor Doojoon! It seems like this was really the breaking point for him,but I'm actually glad that he got so many negative feelings out in the open. It seemed like a necessary thing to do and now people know exactly how he's feeling. I think it is time that he's given a little more care and support ^^ and I think that the fact that he went to apologize to Donghae shows that he is changing and him pushing Donghae out of the way is proof of the good person that Uruha sees in him :D
I really love the realism in this- how Uruha's not plunging into a relationship, but not giving up on Doojoon, either and how Doojoon's coming to face himself :)

Chapter 22: <3
Thank you for thinking of me ^^~ And my exams did go well ^^
That's okay! You take your time in updating- I always love reading this story and I will patiently await your updates :D

I was really glad that Uruha and Doojoon privately spoke with each other in this chapter and that Uruha noticed not only the effort that Doojoon has been applying in trying to change, but also how Doojoon's been struggling with a rather rude confrontation of his faults. I think that having bad feelings go unacknowledge by others is just as bad as dealing with those feelings alone and I was happy that Uruha stood up for Doojoon, despite how much trouble Doojoon's put him through. Doojoon certainly does deserve some notice for his genuine efforts to change.
I like how Uruha is just as protective of Doojoon as Doojoon seems to be over Uruha ^^~ And there was really quite a bit of wisdom in this chapter, about having to trust yourself first, before expecting others to trust you.
I think the seriousness with which Uruha told Doojoon that he liked him and shouldn't let people tell him that he's heartless had quite an impact on Doojoon. It seems to me that this may have been one of the first times, if not the only time, that someone has really seen Doojoon's vulnerability and said to still have feelings for him, regardless. It feels like this sort of reassurance and support is not at all something that Doojoon would have received, prior to speaking with Uruha, on account of his mother not being in his life anymore.
hehe~ in my opinion, there should be even more subscribers for this story! ^^ Although there are not many jrock stories on here and even less "cross-overs", I think that there is a significant audience for this and this is a really awesome story ^^
