He already knows the worst me

Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

DooJoon emerges from the bathroom with a towel around his waist and nothing else “Uhm Gi Kwang… My clothes are kind of…”

“I put something there you can borrow” Gi Kwang gestures at the table where some clothes is lying neatly folded.

DooJoon nods and steps over to the clothes placing a hand on it “I’m sorry you haven’t felt comfortable talking to me about things that matters”

Gi Kwang doesn’t look at DooJoon but keeps his back to him “It didn’t matter to you so…”

“No but it did to you” DooJoon taps on the clothes “I should have been paying more attention and I’m sorry about that”

Gi Kwang looks over his shoulder “It’s okay” he smiles a little “Now please get dressed before they come”

“Who?” DooJoon frowns

“You’ll see” Gi Kwang smirks “Move your DooJoon”

DooJoon frowns and takes the clothes quickly disappearing into the bathroom. Gi Kwang picks up his phone when it bibs and he hurries over to the door to open the front door and the door to his apartment. They got here faster than he had expected. He looks towards the bathroom and takes a deep breath reconsidering if this was a smart move.

In a matter of minutes 3 girls quietly knocks on the door and Gi Kwang waves them in and closes the door behind them

“Thank you for coming” Gi Kwang smiles “I know you aren’t thrilled about this”

“I want closure” one of the girls mumbles and the two other nods “I’m just having a hard time believing he will listen”

“He will” Gi Kwang nods “Now is a good time but… go easy on him please” he looks at the three girls who exchanges looks and huffs. Gi Kwang swallows a lump and nods “Right”

“Gi Kwang who is…” DooJoon comes out and freezes completely when he sees three of the girls he has dumped “Oh god” he turns and moves a hand through his hair

“Please sit” Gi Kwang gestures at the couch and walks over to DooJoon who is shakes his head “Gi Kwang why?”

“You have to listen to them” Gi Kwang grasps DooJoon’s arm and pulls him towards the girls

Two of the girls are sitting down but the third walks straight over to DooJoon and slaps him hard “I have been wanting to do that for a long time” she hisses and raises her hand to hit him again when Gi Kwang steps in “I’m not letting you hit him. If you are gonna be violent you can leave cause that won’t solve anything”

DooJoon rubs his cheek and scowls at the girl. He did deserve it. He can’t even remember her name.

“Come sit” one of the other girls calls out to the third who reluctantly does as told.

“This is gonna get ugly” DooJoon looks at Gi Kwang who doesn’t look like he is sure it is a good idea anymore.

“Why would you invite them?” DooJoon whispers to Gi Kwang as they walk over to sit across from the three girls

Gi Kwang rubs his neck “I thought you should hear from them how it feels to be treated like how you have treated them”

DooJoon sighs and nods “So having Uruha tell me isn’t enough”

“He hasn’t been in their shoes. You have to hear how the girls felt because that is what Uruha is afraid of feeling” Gi Kwang and DooJoon sits whispering amongst themselves.

“What are you whispering about?” the third girl who had slapped DooJoon snaps.

DooJoon takes a deep breath and looks at the girls “Okay” he nods “Let me have it”

For the next hour and a half the three girls takes turn putting out their hearts telling DooJoon just how used and horrible they felt because of the way he had discarded them as if they were worth nothing.

Gi Kwang is looking at DooJoon who is resting his elbows on his knees and his head is hanging.

DooJoon nods softly every now and then signaling that he is hearing them. He really didn’t know it was that bad. He hears them talking about how they felt ashamed of themselves and they blamed themselves which is ridiculous. DooJoon never really felt anything like that, until yesterday he never really felt bad about how he has dumped girls in the morning. It was just to him but as he hears now that isn’t the case for the other part.

The girl who slapped him says she has never felt so bad about herself as when she left his place feeling like she had given him a part of her and that he had just spat on it and send her off. She is clearly very bitter and angry.

DooJoon nods softly again and frowns. This is really starting to bring him down. One of the other girls start talking about how she knows other girls DooJoon has been with who feels the same. Gi Kwang adds in that he called a girl more but that she said she couldn’t bring herself come to face him because of how badly she had gotten hurt.

DooJoon’s head just keeps hanging lower and lower till he practically has it in knee height and he hides it in his arms.

Gi Kwang places a hand on his back and it caringly. He is definitely hearing them.

He can tell the girls see that as well and they look like they are happy to get it off their chest.

“I was so confused what I had done so I talked to the entertainer Uruha…” one of the girls says making DooJoon look up “Why him?” DooJoon has heard the girls and he feels sorry for it but nothing really got his attention like the mention of Uruha’s name.

“He always seems so approachable” the girl shrugs “You seem close with all of them on stage but something about him is just so friendly. That Ruki can be a bit intimidating and Aoi never talks to anyone. I have a friend with a crush on him and she says he just ignores people who try to talk personal with him. Everyone knows Uruha will talk to anyone who comes up to him”

One of the other girls nods “I talked with him too. He was really sweet and held me when I cried. I really felt like he cared”

DooJoon leans back and covers his eyes with a hand refusing to cry in front of the girls.

“He is a sweet guy” the two girls who has both talked to Uruha looks at each other and talks about how much it helped them to talk to him while the last one. The angry one rolls her eyes “He is an idiot. Why would he defend an ?”

Gi Kwang looks at DooJoon who leans back forward shaking his hanging head.

“If he wasn’t gay I would say he is the perfect guy” One of the girls sighs “His boyfriend is so lucky”

“He has a boyfriend?” the other girl asks. DooJoon immediately frowns

“Well… I asked him and he said no then but that he was in love with someone and that was 6 months ago and who would be stupid enough to put him off for so long?”

Gi Kwang discretely points at DooJoon but it doesn’t go unnoticed by the girls.

The two girls stand up “What?!” they yell at the same time. One of the walks over and pushes DooJoon’s shoulder “But you kissed me in front of him!”

DooJoon just keeps his head down.

The third girl frowns “And here I thought you were merely an but turns out you are a bloody coldhearted one at that”

“How the hell did you trick him into liking you?” one yells

DooJoon shakes his head in his hands

The girl who slapped him walks over and pushes him roughly back but they all freeze seeing how unhappy DooJoon is looking. He wipes his eyes and looks away “I don’t know why he likes me. I never wanted him too”

“Except now he found out he actually cares about Uruha as well but Uruha is afraid of getting hurt” Gi Kwang mumbles looking down at his hands.

“Well makes sense since he must have heard just about everything” one girl huffs

“I didn’t know you would talk about it to him” DooJoon hits the couch. He hates that these girls are seeing him so vulnerable.

“We didn’t know he liked you! He could have said something” the girls looks at each other now feeling bad about how they laid everything on the understanding Uruha who can’t have been liking hearing girl after girl crying over a guy he likes.

“He wouldn’t say” DooJoon sighs “He is too nice to burden anyone with his own problem when others are upset” he looks down

“You actually like him?” the angry one mumbles “But he is a guy”

“I know” DooJoon looks at her “I know he is a guy and I really didn’t plan on falling for him but I did and I just… I’m very sorry for what I have done to you and all the other girls. I really didn’t know you felt that way about it. I really didn’t and I know I can’t change it so all I have is my apology. I’m sorry”

“I never thought I would hear you apologize” one girl frowns

“I never thought I would either” DooJoon throws up a hand and hides his eyes in the other

“Are you sure you actually like him?” the angry girl huffs

DooJoon scowls at her

“Truth be told DooJoon, everyone knows you have no heart and many girls have gotten together with you hoping they could save you and now you tell us that you are in love with a guy” she huffs “I don’t believe you for one second. You want to know what I think? I think you are just making up another scam to get more girls. You really have reached a new low point”

DooJoon shakes his head “I’m not trying to scam anyone” he is getting a bit agitated.

“It is a bit hard to believe that you can change” another girl mumbles

“Why is that so hard to believe?” DooJoon frowns “Why can’t I become a better person?”

“Oh so you do know what an idiot you are?” the angry girl huffs and smirks

DooJoon takes a deep breath trying to control his temper “Yes. I know I’m an idiot”

The girl stops smirking. She wasn’t really convinced he would own up to it. DooJoon is not known for being anything but mister confidence. She leans forward and glares at him “You slept with him yet?”

DooJoon frowns “No”

“Oh okay” she leans back “Just do that and you’ll get over him”

“I won’t!” DooJoon yells

“What won’t you? Sleep with him or get over him? DooJoon you are a macho guy could you really have another guy do you?” the girl smirks.

DooJoon swallows he honestly didn’t think that far ahead.

“DooJoon are you sure you like him?” one of the other girls asks

DooJoon sighs “He already knows the worst me and he still loves me. He has been hurt so much by me but he still takes care of me. I just want to give back an inch of what he has given me”

“That’s not love DooJoon” Gi Kwang frowns

DooJoon frowns “But…”

“You say you want to make him happy, you say you want to change but is it just because you feel guilty towards him? Is your feelings for him anything more than your conscious starting to nag” Gi Kwang continues.

“I…” DooJoon rubs his temples “Stop confusing me!”

“I’m not confusing you I’m trying to figure out if you really like him!” Gi Kwang snaps

“But I told you already!” DooJoon stands up and yells at Gi Kwang who stands up as well.

“I know what you said!” Gi Kwang yells back

“So why are you still asking?!” DooJoon frowns

“I can’t trust what you say DooJoon!” Gi Kwang yells and the silence following is almost painful. The three girls stare at the two guys and DooJoon looks like he has just been betrayed. Gi Kwang is kicking himself mentally for being so blunt but he really can’t figure out if DooJoon means it. He always did have a hard time figuring out what went on in DooJoon’s head

“You…” DooJoon frowns and shakes his head softly

“I never really know what you are thinking. You are always either happy or pissed but there has to be more in there” Gi Kwang lowers his voice

He tries placing a hand on DooJoon’s arm but he get’s pushes away. DooJoon points a finger at him and looks directly at him “You don’t trust me”

“I trust you DooJoon, I would put my life in your hands any day I have no doubt about you coming through for me or any of your friends but when it comes to yourself… When it is about you, how you feel and what you think I don’t know what to think. You never talk about how you feel DooJoon” Gi Kwang keeps trying to take hold of DooJoon who keeps stepping away from him until he hits a wall. He just stares at Gi Kwang

Gi Kwang looks back at the girls only now just remembering they were even there “You should go now”

“Why? This is great” the one that had slapped DooJoon before chuckles

The other two doesn’t look like they are enjoying DooJoon’s misery quite as much but the little satisfied smile on their lips is really starting to annoy Gi Kwang.

“Get out” he turns to face them

“He deserve every pain he can get” the angry one huffs. The two other exchanges looks and nods.

“Get out before I throw you out!” Gi Kwang yells.

DooJoon slides down the wall behind him hides his face in his arms.

“I hope the keeps rejecting you” the angry girl stands up and heads towards the door “If he doesn’t he is a big an idiot as you”

DooJoon glares at her “Call me whatever you want but don’t say anything about Uruha”

She just huffs and leaves with the other girls. Gi Kwang closes the door after them and looks at DooJoon who looks down to the side tired and defeated.

Chapter 28: This is very interesting...I remember a part about Uruha having relationship problems, himself, although of a different nature than Doojoon's.
What is it that Doojoon will have to find out?
hehe~ you seem to be deliberately putting Doojoon back into his arrogant, protective character ^^ I like how they are mutually submissive ^^ It suggests the equality that ought to be in a real relationship :)
That's one thing I particularly like about this story- the characters' reactions and the way in which Doojoon and Uruha are progressing with their relationship.
I'm very interested by this "secret detail" that seems to be undisclosed to Doojoon, though. Hopefully it won't have a negative impact on his and Uruha's new relationship...

Chapter 27: I certainly have enjoyed this chapter just as much as the last^^
I hadn't ever really thought of it, but now that it seems as though Doojoon is being portrayed as the delicate one in the relationship, or, as a commonplace term, the "submissive", I can say that I find this newfound fragility in Doojoon to be quite tasteful. It's really quite a nice inversion; a stray away from the conventionality of what might be expected from any pairing involving Doojoon and I really like it ^^ Somehow, it certainly seems much more realistic that someone as unsure of himself, as frightened and as estranged from love as Doojoon is, would need someone to take care of him both physically and emotionally. And it just seems appropriate that that someone is Uruha, no matter how pretty or "girly" Uruha's appearance might make him out to be.
It seems like a theme in this story- not judging someone by their appearances or reputation ^^ Like how "player" and "manly" Doojoon certainly has a full range of emotions, as does anyone else, and is by far much more hurt than anyone would ever have perceived. And how Uruha, who seems to be publicly more of a flamboyant type of person, attentive to his implied feminine appearance seems to be the one who can offer Doojoon a sense of safety and protection that he seems not to have ever had before.
Uruha kissing Doojoon's palm is such a tender moment in the story ^^ And, having read and written some mpreg, myself, Uruha wrapping his arms around Doojoon's stomach gave me a faint impression of Doojoon having a baby or something hehe~ ^^' (my mind out of wraps...) but a very loving gesture, indeed ^^

Chapter 26: Yes, yes YES!!!!!!! :D
This chapter made my day, even though it's just starting ^^
I'm so glad it wasn't Doojoon's fault and that girl is just horrible DX.
Yay!!! Uruha asked Doojoon out again!! :D
They're already so cute together and poor Doojoon when he wanted 'his' Uruha ^^ he seems so fragile in this chapter and I liked that ^^

Chapter 25: Oh no...! :(
Doojoon...! What have you done...?!
I have a pretty bad feeling for how things are going to go for Doojoon now... Actually not so much in terms of a relationship, but I think Doojoon himself is going to suffer a lot with what happened...I feel like he's going to give up on himself, not just on a relationship with Uruha but give up on himself as a person...

Chapter 24: This is one of my favorite chapters ^^
I really like Doojoon's dad and how he so easily accepted that his son is in love with a man :)
The chapter was so full of warmth and love and this chapter, more than any other, really shows how Doojoon had changed. It's great to see that he really is love with Uruha and that he's reconciled with his father. It certainly seems necessary for him to love his family before entering into a relationship with Uruha.
It was actually quite striking to hear how Doojoon's father married a year ago and Doojoo wasn't even aware of it. It shows just how distant from those close to him he became.
Hopefully Yoonja's daughter won't give Doojoon a hard time... ^^'
It would be very interesting, indeed, to see Uruha meet Doojoon's parents ^^
and hopefully Doojoon will fnd some solace about his relationship with his mother. That rejection when he was only seven must have been terrible.

Chapter 23: :'(
What an emotional chapter!! It was great, but poor Doojoon! It seems like this was really the breaking point for him,but I'm actually glad that he got so many negative feelings out in the open. It seemed like a necessary thing to do and now people know exactly how he's feeling. I think it is time that he's given a little more care and support ^^ and I think that the fact that he went to apologize to Donghae shows that he is changing and him pushing Donghae out of the way is proof of the good person that Uruha sees in him :D
I really love the realism in this- how Uruha's not plunging into a relationship, but not giving up on Doojoon, either and how Doojoon's coming to face himself :)

Chapter 22: <3
Thank you for thinking of me ^^~ And my exams did go well ^^
That's okay! You take your time in updating- I always love reading this story and I will patiently await your updates :D

I was really glad that Uruha and Doojoon privately spoke with each other in this chapter and that Uruha noticed not only the effort that Doojoon has been applying in trying to change, but also how Doojoon's been struggling with a rather rude confrontation of his faults. I think that having bad feelings go unacknowledge by others is just as bad as dealing with those feelings alone and I was happy that Uruha stood up for Doojoon, despite how much trouble Doojoon's put him through. Doojoon certainly does deserve some notice for his genuine efforts to change.
I like how Uruha is just as protective of Doojoon as Doojoon seems to be over Uruha ^^~ And there was really quite a bit of wisdom in this chapter, about having to trust yourself first, before expecting others to trust you.
I think the seriousness with which Uruha told Doojoon that he liked him and shouldn't let people tell him that he's heartless had quite an impact on Doojoon. It seems to me that this may have been one of the first times, if not the only time, that someone has really seen Doojoon's vulnerability and said to still have feelings for him, regardless. It feels like this sort of reassurance and support is not at all something that Doojoon would have received, prior to speaking with Uruha, on account of his mother not being in his life anymore.
hehe~ in my opinion, there should be even more subscribers for this story! ^^ Although there are not many jrock stories on here and even less "cross-overs", I think that there is a significant audience for this and this is a really awesome story ^^
