As usual the Siren would land Yunho back into the navy vessel as soon as the sun rose above the waters.

There was an unusual sense of calmness on deck as morning came. The sailors were off duty and everyone was enjoying their off-day.

Yunho sat on the ledge staring into the distance and breathed deeply enjoying the freshness of the morning air and feeling the cool and gentle breeze that came along with it.

BoongHee skipped to his dorm mate and sat beside him momentarily. Then he turned to the engrossed sailor and placed his hand on Yunho’s shoulder.

Yunho jerked and turned to his dorm mate in surprise.

“Yes?” He asked.

“Nothing… Just bored…” BoongHee grinned.

“Aish… Seriously… Don’t hit me for nothing.”

“Yes, Sir.” BoongHee replied sarcastically.

 “I wonder when we will get to go home??”

“Why?”

“I’m home sick….” BoongHee complained.

“I can’t help you.” Yunho said plainly.

The other sailor sighed and stalked off sheepishly.

Yunho looked into the distance and wondered off again.

Dusk fell and the sky once covered with the radiance of the sun was now enveloped by a sea of blackness.

The sky was bleak and the night was cold.

The beautiful Siren landed as gracefully as a swan on the ships ledged and sat as Yunho took his place beside the creature.

“You seem upset. Yunho.” JeJung observed.

Yunho kept silent for a while as he placed his head on JeJungs shoulder.

“It’s my last night here.” Yunho finally said.

JeJung turned to the sailor and stared at him.

The Siren looked somewhat surprised, but then it’s just smiled.

“Ok.”

Yunho stared back at the Siren in surprise.

“OK? That’s it?”

The Siren nodded.

“Yes.”

The sailor’s mouth pressed into a straight line and frowned slightly.

“Nothing else?” He repeated.

“No.” was JeJung’s one word reply.

Yunho’s eye brows creased and he turned away.

“I thought…. You would feel sad or at least disappointed….”

JeJung looked at Yunho questioningly.

“Am I?”

“Never mind.” Yunho said seeming disappointed.

The night seemed pretty silent after wards as Yunho keep quiet feeling under the weather.

Dawn came and nothing had changed since the night before.

Yunho dragged his feet to the ship’s deck and sighed.

He tripped on over a bucket lying on the floor and cursed.

“You seem depressed today.” BoongHee called from behind the dejected sailor.

“Go away….”

“Why? What happened?”

“I said…..”

“MAN OVER BOARD!!” Came a cry, before Yunho could finish his sentence.

BoongHee rushed to the side of the ship and bent over.

Yunho didn’t seem very enthusiastic but he ran to see what the commotion was all about.

There was someone in the water below.

It seemed that the person was drowning.

“Help me!” The person cried out in desperation.

In an instant, Yunho grabbed a life ring and threw it to where the person was.

Grabbing the float quickly, the latter scrambled to safety.

“Pull’em up!” The captain yelled.

As they hauled the person on board, Yunho noticed something oddly familiar.

Draping a towel over the person, Yunho could make out the faint scar on the side of the latter as the shirt covering him was soaked transparent.

He stared for a second as if something had jolted him.

His head whipped up and saw the person staring happily at him with bright and mesmerizing eyes.

Immediately he realized.

“Oh!” He gasped softly.
