Gigantic Pabo
The GameIt was an accident hyung, you kept telling me this. Everyone kept telling me 'it was just an accident'. They were wrong, and I was right. You weren't who I thought you were. You are, and will always be a terrible–person. I will never trust you again, I will never help you again. I lost all faith and interactions with you.. because, you went and did a mistake that left scars deeper than anyone else could ever do. We were sworn brothers, the three of us.. We would have been friends to the end, until you broke it all. You broke all my trust for you.. I haven't forgotten that oath. I will bring you down with me to the end, we will all die together, like brothers. I will expose who you really are. I will show everyone the monster you truly are.
Park Chanyeol
"YAH! Who the hell is this girl? Where did you pick her up! She seems dirty!' D.O, the mother like he is, instantly started to nag at me, and complain. I had spotted her sitting on the stool in the bar, she seemed hypnotized at our gig session. It wasn't until I went up and talked to her, I noticed how skinny, and petit she was.
"Hyung. Calm down, she's not dirty. And what the hell is wrong with your for harassing her.." I slapped D.O. in the back of the head, who gave me a whole 'what the ' look.
"Wae? What's wrong! Can't I ask a girl from the sewers questions?"
"Sewers? Sewers Hyung? Really? Chincha, you are giving me a headache. She's perfectly fine, she's nice–"
"You just met her! And might I remind you, Kris introduced you to her!" D.O. wasn't keen on me being friends with Kris. It wasn't like Kris had a bad reputation, there were a number of rumours. But Kris had confirmed, and denied all these false rumours. D.O. had been good friends with Kris, up until we all started to drift our own ways. Why couldn't you guys just accept each other? There's nothing wrong. It was an accident..
I sighed, "D.O. please, just.. Let me have her for once. Don't go chasing her away.."
D.O. looked at me and came to realize. It's been a while since I had a girlfriend. Or even a friend that was of the opposite . Hell, I have a sister but I rarely speak with her. It wasn't like I had any ual frustrations with myself, I was long passed that after I had hit puberty. It was just, I needed sometime with someone else. Not just D.O. D.O kept setting me up with these strange girls, many of them were mirror images of D.O. I didn't want that, I wanted to find someone of my own likings… Regardless I need a friend, someone different to hang out with.
"Don't worry. I'm not looking for a girlfriend. I'm just looking for a friend.." I noticed D.O. scratch his head. I looked to see Jieun walk back just in time.
"I ought to get home. It's quiet late, and I live on the other side of Seoul." Jieun said, as I noticed she was clutching a small pink LG phone in her hand. D.O. got up and gave a semi-bow.
"It was nice meeting you Jieun-ssi. I hope to speak with you, and get to know you more." I noticed Jieun's mouth turned into a warm, smile. Her smile radiated such warmth, I could feel my body heat up. I looked down, just to be sure I wasn't just wetting my pants.. I wouldn't be surprised after eating a big bowl of ramen.
"I'll bring you home." I looked at D.O. who nodded, ready to depart.
"Wait–D.O-sshi?" D.O. looked at me before he stared at Jieun.
"Yee?"
"May you make four bowls of the Shio ramen? On the go, please. I want to bring it home for my family, it was excellent." D.O. smiled and instantly went to the kitchen, while Jieun was taking her wallet out of her purse. I put my hand on her cold hand, and she looked at me shocked.
"Don't worry.. I'll pay.." I said, but she shook her head. Unwilling for me to pay, she continued to search for her wallet. Until she found her brown leather wallet, that was all tattered up.
"Let me. Besides, it was an honour to watch your show–"
"What about the bet?" I asked, how can I show her I am a gentlemen if she insists on paying? Why are girls so complicated, when they say 'no' they mean 'yes', and vice-versa. How do you know, if they are saying no or yes honestly?
"You can repay it some other time.." I noticed her make her way towards the counter with the cash register. D.O-sshi's sister was standing behind the cashier, talking with Jieun as she paid. How would I ever repay her? I started to glide my way up to the side of Jieun.
"So, you guys seem very close," I could hear the small hint of glee in D.O's sister's voice. I just smiled, and Jieun shook her head in response.
"We just met today, I guess you could say we are acquainted for now." D.O's sister gave the change back to Jieun.
"Well, I hope you have a safe trip back. And I hope to see you again." D.O's sister took the business card on the counter, and wrote something on the back. Handing it over to Jieun, who had glimpsed at it, and put it into her wallet, "call me anytime!"
"Kamsamida." Both Jieun and I bowed politely, as D.O. and his sister was at the door. They were starting to close up, while Jieun and I had both started to make our way to the subway.
---
I carried the white grocery bags of containers in one hand, while Jieun was walking on the opposite side. I could hear, and feel the liquids and noodles, slosh around within the closed cups. It mimicked the movements within my stomach, as it continued to lurch and squirm. Had I ate too much? Jieun would accidentally walk up very close beside me, I could feel her arm gently skim the hairs on my arm. I could feel myself shutter, and want to vomit.
"Yah, Park Chanyeol!" I stopped, and noticed she was staring at me with her hand out. We had already arrived at the station. She impatiently tapped her foot on the ground, "give me my food back!"
I nodded, and put the white grocery bag in her hand,
"Wait–" She was about to turn and leave when she peered at me with questioning eyes, "give me your phone.."
Then suddenly her eyes flickered as though a light bulb went off. She shoved her hand inside her bag taking out her phone, and I took out my phone that was in my pocket. We both switched phones, slowly plugging in our numbers. Breathe Chanyeol.. Breathe..
"Araso? Is that all?" She sounded impatient, as we both swapped to receive our own phones. Is this going to be the last time I see you? I wanted to ask her, but I nodded my head. And she bid goodbye.
I had turned around and was making my way home, until I felt my phone vibrate.
[10.06.12 (1:13 A.M)]Winner Jieun: Pabo, you still owe me another meal? Okay?
I smiled as I saw her name flash on my cell phone screen. Is she trying to ask me out?
[10.06.12 (1:13 A.M)] Me: I don't think that bet was fair. We should do a re-try.
[10.06.12 (1:13 A.M)] Winner Jieun: Pabo! You just don't want to admit it, merong~ :P
I continued to grin as I read her message. I am a pabo. I am a gigantic, pabo.. I am happy virus Park Chanyeol.
