Baekhyun stared at the massive flat screen TV, the image moving but Baekhyun wasn’t even interested in the least at what’s going on. Some guy was pointing a gun and some girl was on her knees, crying, possibly begging, but he does not give one sh—
“I TOLD YOU! OMG! TOLD YOU SO MANY TIMES!” Chanyeol marched in, waving his hands dramatically as if to prove a point. D.O walked closely behind him, rolling his eyes but nodded just to satisfy the heated Chanyeol.
“hey, where’s Tiffany?” Chanyeol stopped mid rant as he looked around. Baekhyun grit his teeth and clench his fist as he answers.
“Kai took her out. Apparently he wanted to take her ‘somewhere’” Baekhyun did bunny ears around the word and added heavy sarcasm.
“no need to be bitter my man” Chanyeol muttered as he head to the kitchen. Baekhyun pout his lips as he drum his fingers on the arm of the sofa. Kai was getting more on his nerves as time goes by. Every time he sees Tiffany, Kai would be right there, almost like he’s her personal shadow. Nowadays, he couldn’t get to be one on one with Tiffany because of him.
Its been almost a month now since they came back from the getaway and work was now more busy than ever. Kai got a part in a new dance video because he was the best dancer out of EXO-K. Baekhyun got some commercials and Chanyeol started some kick boxing. No one knows of the sudden interested but then it clicked when Baekhyun saw his trainer.
Damn, she was smoking.
“you listening?” Chanyeol asked, tapping Baekhyun on the shoulder.
“I’m going out” he got up and grabbed his wallet, his disguise hat and keys. Hell, he’s going to take his baby for a spin.
“where?” D.O asked calmly, but Baekhyun knew he was worried. His brows furrowed even though his voice was calm.
“places” Baekhyun flashed him a smile as he made his way to the door. before he could turn the knob, the door opened from the outside and Kai came in, followed by Tiffany.
Without saying much, Baekhyun walked by Kai and grabbed Tiffany by her hand. “Time to go again”
Tiffany’s eyes widened but before she could say anything or even take off her shoes, Baekhyun already closed the door in Kai’s surprised face and walked down the corridor of the apartment, heading towards the elevator.
“care to explain?” tiffany asked, her footsteps light and she was a little out of breath, trying to catch up with her. Baekhyun smiled as he tightened his hold on her hand. Tiffany smiled a she squeezed back.
“nope”

Kai took her out early in the morning, they did so many things in such a short amount of time. He took her to her, well their, favourite coffee shop. Before going to the park and talk about what they’ve been doing for the past years. Tiffany couldn’t stop the smile spreading on her face all morning, he makes her smile. And she liked it.
She was startled when they came back and Baekhyun snatch her off. She could see the shock on Kai’s face, but before she could do anything, the door already closed in her face.
Now, here they are, in Baekhyun’s baby. the smell of new car was glorious. She loved it. Baekhyun was silent, not even a hint of smile. Compared to Kai, who was flashing those pearly whit teeth. Tiffany pout at the silence and leaned her head back, looking out the window. Suddenly, her right hand was warm. Tiffany looked down at it to see Baekhyun’s hand covering hers, while his other hand was firm on the wheel.
A smile crept up on Tiffany’s face as she looked at their interlock hands. Baekhyun gave it a little squeeze and twined their hands together.
“where do you want to go?” Baekhyun broke the silence.
“I don’t mind. Got nothing in mind really” Tiffany commented, thinking of somewhere she wanted to go, but her brain came up with none.
“what about the beach?” Baekhyun asked, Tiffany raised her brow.
“in this weather?” she looked out and the sky was gloomy, ready to rain at any minute.
“sure, why not? Scared you’re going to melt?” Tiffany mock angry but shook her head.
“bring it on. I’m up for a little bit of rain”
Baekhyun beamed at her. the smile made her heart skip a beat and she took in a slight breath.

The beach at this time of year was empty. The weather dropped a couple of degrees when they hit the beach front. As if he planned it, Baekhyun parked the car boot first, so when he opened the back, there were throws and rugs, so they could be facing the beach when they sit back.
“do you want to go for a walk?” Tiffany asked, taking off her shoes. Baekhyun nodded and took off his own kicks. He grabbed a jacket from the back of the car and threw it at her. tiffany caught it with a giggle before shrugging it on.
Baekhyun extended his hand and tiffany took it. The jacket was thick and soft, something Baekhyun would be caught in. He wore something similar as he walked over and took her hand.
They walked down the beach in comfortable silence. Baekhyun tucked Tiffany’s hand into his jacket and pulled her closer to him. She couldn’t help but lean her head on his shoulder and think about their past. Which seemed too long ago.
“Hey! Tiff!” Baekhyun ran up to Tiffany, leaving his group of friends. She smiled and let him plant a kiss on her lips as he took his books from her arms.
“you guys! Jealous over here!” one of her friends commented, rolling her eyes but a smile on her face.
“you are too cute” the other commented, sticking her tongue out at Tiffany before the two of them walked away.
“can I help you?” tiffany asked, Baekhyun just stood there, smiling at her. tiffany raised an eye brow when he didn’t do anything.
“I love you” he said a beat later, planting a kiss on her lips again before running away. Tiffany looked after him, stunned, before a smile spread across her face.
“what are you thinking about?” Baekhyun asked her, bringing her back to reality. Tiffany shook her head as she looked ahead.
“remember that time we went to the beach for your 16th birthday?” Baekhyun muttered, tiffany laughed at the memory. They decided to have a beach party at the beach and tiffany reckon it was one of the best party she ever had. Just her close friends together, having fun. But then Baekhyun decided to go take a dip when he thought a string of seaweed was a water snake and started to freak.
“ARGH! TIFF! A SNAKE!” Baekhyun splash around, trying to get something black off his arm. Everyone got up from the sand and headed towards the water line. Tiffany was screaming for him to get out of the water and Baekhyun was freaking.
“I’M GOING TO DIE! HOLY !” Baekhyun screamed as he swam up to the beach and started to thrash on the sand. One of the guys started to grab the snake and threw it away when he picked it up again.
“dude, that's seaweed” Baekhyun paused his thrashing.
“what?”
Tiffany walked over and picked up the ‘snake’. “Baek! Its a bloody seaweed!”
Baekhyun got up, a little embaressed as he walked over to look at the seaweed. “well” he cleared his throat, “it looked like a snake. Like you cant deny it”
Tiffany threw it at him again and he jumped. Causing a laughing fit out of everyone.
“the snake?” Baekhyun shivered and Tiffany laughed. “you’re still scared of that thing?”
When he didn’t answer, she laughed again. Baekhyun turned a shade of pink but he continue to walk.
They walked in silence, tiffany felt at peace. With Kai, she was always happy and smiling ,but with Baekhyun, she feels like she doesn’t have the need to be smiling all the time. She doesn’t feel like she should be anyone else but herself.
Suddenly, Baekhyun stopped walking. Tiffany stopped and looked up at Baekhyun in questioning. Then his face started to get closer, and closer.
Her heart started to jump and beat faster. He was so close now that she could feel his breath on her. just at that moment, the sky decided to open and rain poured down like the end of the world.
Tiffany squeak and Baekhyun laughed at the rain. Hand in hand, they ran back towards the car. Baekhyun unlocked the doors and opened the hatch of the car. Tiffany dived into the blankets, followed by Baekhyun.
He left the hatch open to they could look out towards the beach. The hatched worked as a roof, preventing the water to get into the car.
Baekhyun was wet, his hair was dripping and his face was spotty with water drops. Using her hands, she wiped away the moisture on his face, aware that his was looking at her...like the way he used to when they were together.
“you’re beautiful” Baekhyun whispered.
“you’re wet” tiffany muttered, trying to ignore what he just said. Baekhyun stopped her by holding her hands still. Tiffany stared up at him as be brought her hands to his lips. Tiffany tried her best not to shiver at the feel of his lips on her fingers. She almost forgot what it felt like.
“will you let me kiss you?” Baekhyun whispered, his breath coming in little puff from the temperature drop. Tiffany was struck speechless. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She thought he hated her, but...
Tiffany nodded her head. She didn’t intend to, but her head just nodded. Baekhyun smiled as he moved closer. Tiffany closed her eyes and waited for his lips on hers.
The soft kiss felt like heaven when it landed on hers. It felt normal, like it was meant to be there. She could feel him smile against her lips and she couldn’t help but smile back.
“I miss you” he muttered against her lips. A tear seep out from the corner of her eye. Me too.
