(NARRATOR'S POV)

Chanyeol was stating his first love to Seohyun.

" Actually, my first love was one of my bestfriends. Her name is Kim Ye Jin. My other bestfriend was Kim Jongin.

The three of us became friends since middle school. We're always hanging out with each other. Just like you, 

bestfriends introduced me to music. Kim Jongin taught how to play guitar and drums but I didn't pursue it since I need to work for my eomma.

As of Ye Jin. She's a pretty and nice girl. She always being bullied  in highschool. So I felt that I always need to protect her, but little 

did I know that I fell for her. I confessed to her after we graduate but she rejected me. Then she announced that he's going out with Jongin.

At first I was really mad, I felt betrayed because they're my bestfriends. I decided to left home and work here in Seoul. " he spoke to Seohyun.

She softened and felt pity for him. That time when Yonghwa left him She thought that she's has the most miserable life but hearing Chanyeol's

story make her feel luckier. At least she have friends/bestfriends that always on her side. 

" Do you still love her?" she asked unconciously, she felt nervous asking him . Chanyeol was quite shock with her question.

" Uhmm." he mumbled awkwardly. " I don't know. The truth is I'm not mad anymore because I didn't tell my feeling earlier. They always

been good to me so I don't if I still love her. I just hope when we meet again we can be friends again just like the old times.' he spoke 

honestly. Chanyeol was the kind of man who values friendship a lot because friends are people you can lean on if you have problems.

Seohyun was quite relieved and happy. Hearing his story makes her to know him more. She's glad that he trusted her .

" Thank you." she smiled at him. He blinked at her " What for?"he asked curiously.

" Everything for always be there when I need a friend and for entrusting me your past and the most of all thank you that you came to my life."

she honestly said then she blushed she felt that her heart was thumping. 

He chuckled " Of course, I'll always be here to protect you. I'll never leave your side. It's promise from a friend." he said happily.

As he offered his pinky finger , she accepted it with her pinky finger. " Promise." she said happily.

Seohyun walked Chanyeol in her front door. " I'll be going now." he said happily to her.

She smiled angelically " Good night." she said. " Good night" he answered. Her face flushed red when she saw Chanyeol 

lean on her forehead and kissed it gently. ' That's my thanks for always making me dinner."

he pulled his body and put his hands inside his pockets. She just nodded while she felt her cheeks burning .

' Bye." he waved and went to his apartment. She went inside and closed the door.

She leaned her body againts the door and she held her chest with her hands.

Her heart was thumping like crazy . * Don't tell me I'm already falling for him." she shook away her thoughts and went to her room.
