Chapter 24

After letting everything out, I went home feeling a little lighter.

I ate alone since they weren’t home yet.

“having fun. Eh?”

After eating dinner, I decided to go to the rooftop since it’s the only place that can help me relaxed.

“Wow! Stars never failed to comfort me!” I sigh while looking deep into the stars

I just cant call, Jaemi, Sehun oppa, luhan oppa, Sulli or Krystal, I don’t want to be burden to them,

I turn around and roam my eyes to my surroundings.

Haven’t visited this place for awhile now but still no changes.

I turn my gaze to the potted plants and noticed a painted stick hands.

I carefully take the potted plant to the side to see a clearer version of the drawing.

5 stick person drawing, and there’s another stick person which I presume to be erased since it was covered by white paint, and also just a little bit of it was still visible.

I touch the wall and it hit me, I DREW THIS!

It was when I was 7 or 8? I really don’t know. This is a painful memory for me.

“Haraboji! Look! Look! I draw something out of this paint!!!” Little Hyunjae smiled while tugging in to her haraboji’s clothes. This later caused the old man to take off her hands from his clothes harshly.

He went to the corner where the little girl draws something. His face showed a big frown.

“aigoo, Hyunjae-ah why are they 6 tick people?” he ask

“Shouldn’t it be 5 only” he smirked. The little girl put her hands in her chin as if she was thinking.

“Hmmm.. haraboji! It’s 6. You, Umma, Appa, Hae oppa, Haera unnie and me!” she beams.

“ah aniyo! You should delete that little girl, since if she’s there, the others will feel sad” he said while pointing at the little stick drawing, which was supposed to be Hyunjae.

“Eh? If I take her, they will smile?” she ask

“hm.” The old man nodded and takes a brush and white paint and started scribble lines trough the little stick man drawing. Then he left

The beautiful summer sky turned to dark as if it reflects the little girl’s feeling, slowly, raindrops started pouring down covering the little girls’ tears.

“Harbohi hate me?” she ask herself and continue staring at the drawing. Not even bothering to re-draw herself. Thinking that it’ll make her family sad.

“omo! Hyunjae! Why are you here! It’s raining!” Ahjumma Choi went in and grabs Hyunjae and helping her dries herself up.

“Aigoo, so bitter” I said bitterly while wiping the tears that were falling from my eyes.

Just then I put my hands near the girl and start to draw an imaginary girl using my fingernails and placed a sad smiley

“It’s my fault!!” I sob while hugging tightly my knees.

/11 YEARS AGO/

It was summer day when halmoni and little Hyunjae decided to go for a walk.

“Princess Hyunjae, halmoni will just buy something. Just stay here. Arassso?” the lady said

“neh halmoni” the little girl smiled.

She sat down at the stairs when suddenly a lost puppy came to her way and starts barking.

Little hyunjae then started cuddling with the dog.

“woah!! You have fluffy ears!!” she giggled

“anyeong! I’m lee hyunjae. Where’s you’re master?” she ask as if she’ll understand the dog’s barking.

“hmp. I cant understand you. well, let’s just wait for you’re owner here. They might be looking for you too” she smiled

“Hyunjae,” Halmoni spoke behind

“Halmoni! Look! This puppy is lost” Hyunjae said

“we should give him back to his owner. They might be worried for this cutie” she smiled

“neh we should. Come hold halmoni’s hands” halmoni smiled. Then Hyunjae take her hands and starts looking for the puppy’s owner.

Just then the puppy run towards the little street which causes Hyunjae to gasped and run to get the dog. Halmoni was shocked to see a car which was driving in different direction. Might be drunk.

And in just a snap, Hyunjae was thrown in the corner with the dog in her hands while Halmoni was in the street, with blood, LIFELESS..

“WHAT A LIFE!!” I sighed loudly.  Just then I heard a car honk. They’re home!

I quickly left the rooftop and went to my room. Good thing my room was the nearest room in the way going to the rooftop.

I went o my bed and pretend to be asleep. Just then someone opened my door.

“Hyunjae-ah?”
