An awkward first-like meeting

My Tutor Changes My Life

Minhee was nervous, in other place Changmin was too as well. Tonight their family would have dinner, if there wasn't any issue like that, it wouldn't be that awkward between both of them. It was different now.
"Umma, should I come too? My boss doesn't allow to take a holiday anymore" she said, making a possible reason.
"You should come with us. I'll call your boss to ask a day off. If he doesn't give the permission, I'll just make it possible. Otherwise you can quit from that job, Minhee-ya." her mother answered looking through her daughter from the mirror when she applied some make-up.
"WHAT?! NO! I won't quit from there. Yah, umma. I want to earn some money."
Minhee wasn't the type who could ask some money from parents anytime, she wasn't a spoiled brat at all.
"Haven't I told you that umma will give money anytime you want? Minhee-ya, you don't need to go to work. Furthermore Changmin will expend some money to you. And you have to be a good wife for your husband."
She cringed hearing those unfamiliar words.
Wife. Husband. She wasn't used to hear that.

"Umma, can we cancel the marriage? I'm still too young. I'm a high schooler and I want to enrol into university." She explained her reason not to get married yet. But it didn't mean that she didn't want it, she wanted to get married with the person she was used to spend the time every day. She started to depend on him, the one who could control her.

"Changmin won't forbide you enrolling into university, Minhee. Doesn't he always want you to get good mark in your subjects in class, does he?"
Minhee closed her eyes for a second to take a breath, a deep long breath.
She couldn't make any excuse to cancel the marriage.
Even she was happy with her mother's decision, but as a high schooler, a little girl, she wasn't ready yet. Living under the same roof, sharing a bed, cooking foods for her husband, preparing some clothes for him as well, or even if it was possible, taking care of their children. She couldn't imagine those scenes in her young age. And most importantly, Changmin would be her husband.

They weren't in relationship.

She was mesmerized looking at her so-called-soon-to-be husband, he was wearing a white shirt with black tuxedo, and she was wearing a simple knee-lenght dress.

They all were gathered in a restaurant.
She was so nervous, her heart beat so fast, she could felt her fast blood circulation.
They ate in silence, till Mr. Shim Dong Shik broke the awkward moment with some jokes.
"Umma, I want to go restroom." she excused as stood up and headed to that place. She needed to calm herself. It was too much for God's sake and the man she would get married with didn't help anything, he even didn't say at least one important word.
"Minhee-ya." a hand held her arms tightly as its owner called her.
"Changmin oppa, waeyo?"

She felt like couldn't breathe, her chest tightened.
"Can we talk about it?"
He guided her to the other exit door going to parking area.
"Where are we going? How about them?" she asked worriedly.
"I already said that I will go some place with you."
"Oh." In fact, she enjoyed the moment, his warm hand interlocked with her hand. That's how she felt safe.

They sat on the bench at play ground, it was really weird, wearing a formal clothes yet sitting on that place.
"How is it?" he made a first conversation cause he knew that she couldn't.
"Oppa, what will we do?" It was the first time she looked straight at his eyes.
She was so nervous what he would answer.
"What do you want, Minhee-ya?"
"I... I don't know oppa.. I am.. I..."
"We will get married. Is it okay with you? We can be friends. If you don't mind, it's okay. I'll tell our parents."
"Oppa, don't you have a girlfriend?"
"I have no."
Minhee was quite, she needed to think first, even though she might say 'yes in the end.
"Should we make an agreement?" she asked out of the blue.
He laughed, "Is it drama?"
"Just like in Full House." she mumbled, embarrassed.
"Aigo, is it like marriage deal? It's not in drama or novel, Minhee." he smiled.
She didn't say anything.
"Minhee-ya, we will do it, won't we?"
"Will we?"
"Yah." he chuckled, he wasn't afraid if she refused him. He knew that she would agree, it was easy to read her mind.
