The love they all had never ceased to amaze...

It was early morning when Ari woke up at her family's house. For unknown reasons, she couldn’t sleep any longer, but that was alright. She stretched and yawned, pulling herself into a sitting position. Ari reached for her phone and looked at the screen. There was already a message from Taeyong and she couldn’t help but smile.

Ari couldn’t help but chuckle. They had never spent a night together, yet he acted like that did, and yes, the thought of that made her blush, and yes, it made her change the subject.


Am not. (grin emoji) There’s a long way before we get there. :P

Ari rolled her eyes playfully and called him. 

“My divine peach, I missed you!”

Ari chuckled. “I missed you too, silly. You’ll see me soon.” 

“Yeah, surrounded by male’s attention...” He sulked.

“Jealous?” She asked casually. 

“Who? Me? Nope.”

“Yes, you,” Ari hummed. “Where are you?” 

“In my room, lazing… gazing at the ceiling... you know.”

“Plan still stands?” Ari asked, getting out of bed. 

“Let me check in my schedule,” Taeyong said, mimicking her father.

“Spending a lot of time with my dad, huh?” 

“Private pilot classes, baby. It’s all business.” He replied.

“I know,” She smiled. “I’m just noticing, that’s all. Say hi to Hana and I’ll see you soon.”   

“RIRI!”

“Must you scream at my ear ball,” Taeyong complained.

Ari chuckled. “She’s adorable 

“Aren’t you supposed to be on my side?”

“Are you making me take sides?” 

“Is it working?”

“Does it look like it’s working?” 

“YAY! She loves me more than you do!” Hana giggled. 

He sighed heavily. “You can’t be real...”

“Hana, kiss your brother and hug him. He needs the attention,” Ari teased. 

A loud smooch could be heard and Taeyong laughed. “Thank you, love, now she is suffocating me. You’ll pay for this...”

“How?” She smirked. 

“With this,” Baekhyun’s voice filled the room. 

“Special delivery,” Areum winked, moving to the side.

Hana came running into the room and jumped into Ari’s bed. Ari chuckled and caught the child. The little bundle of joy hugged Ari holding her tightly. “He was mean,” she pouted. 

Taeyong blinked. “What do you mean I was mean?!” 

Ari laughed. “We need to punish him for being mean!”

Baekhyun laughed hard. “Good luck, son.”

“You’ll need it,” Areum chuckled. “We’ll call when breakfast is ready.”

With that, the two left, leaving them alone. Ari looked at Taeyong, then at Hana. The little girl snuggled in Ari’s arms.

“She’s mine!” Hana stuck her tongue out at Taeyong. 

Taeyong sighed. “This child...”

“I love youuuu brotherrrrrr!” Hana giggled. 

Taeyong chuckled. “You adore to tease me, you little chipmunk.” 

“Your chipmunk!” 

Ari laughed at the two. “Why don’t you guys wait here, while I go get dressed, huh?”

“But you look cute in the minion PJs!” Hana grinned.

Doesn’t she look adorable? 

She is his little peach.

Ari reached for the box under her bed and placed it in front of Hana. “For you.” 

Hana yelped and grinned as she began to open. She gasped. “Thank you, RiRi! You are the best!”

“Good God... she has now a complete collection,” he chuckled.

Ari kissed the child’s forehead. “I’m glad you love it.”

“But we all love her,” Taeyong smiled.

“We sure do,” Ari winked and got up. 

“We brought something for you, right Hana?” 

The little girl nodded. Taeyong grinned. “Go on then give it to her, she picked it up herself, ma wanted to help do you know what she said?” 

“What?” Ari asked. 

“I am a big girl, I can pick stuff for RiRi!” Hana grinned.

Ari chuckled. “You are a big girl,” She winked. “But why did you guys spend money?” She mumbled shyly. 

“Hush,” Taeyong winked. 

The little girl handed her a bag. Ari smiled and took the bag, looking inside. It was a set of rose candles that had a pleasant smell.

“I love it,” Ari smiled, hugging her. 

Taeyong smiled at the two and hugged both of them. She hugged them tightly.

“Thank you.”

The two waited for Ari in her room and once she was done, the three of them headed down the stairs and into the kitchen. As they approached, she could hear her parents talking. It was something she actually missed since she lives alone in her apartment, but last night she decided to crash at their place. It was always nice having them around.

“Coffee?” Baekhyun asked.

“With milk and sugar?” Areum asked.

“With milk and sugar for my princess.”

Ari couldn’t help but smile as she heard the two of them. Baekhyun had never changed his attitude towards all of them. The little girl crawled to Areum’s lap and grinned. 

“I want you to teach me to be a pilot, ma.”

“What about, pa?” Baekhyun pouted. 

“It’s obvious you too, pa,” the girl tilted her head, “you two are married, so you came in a package.”

“Smart girl,” Baekhyun chuckled.

Areum smiled and snuggled her. “We’ll teach you everything.”

Ari sat down with Taeyong at the table and watched her parents as they played with Hana. Baekhyun was a true gentleman in every way. He did everything for her mom and he wasn’t afraid to show his affection toward her in front of others. Ever since he walked into their lives, everything changed for the better. Even toward Ari, he was a father figure. Always there for her and of course Ilhoon as well, there was no difference. Even to this day, he cared and made sure that his family had everything they needed.

Like every family, they had their ups and downs, but not once did Baekhyun insult or act violently. If he and her mom did have an argument (which was rare), they never screamed at each other or argue in front of Ari or Ilhoon. Instead, they talked it out. The relationship they have was healthy by all means. It was also something they taught their kids as well.

Trust.

Honesty.

Respect.

Those were the things that were important, aside from love. They were the type of family that talk about everything. No topic was taboo, even if it was embarrassing, but her parents didn’t care. Especially when the two reached a certain age.

“Mom, please…”

“Please, what?” Areum looked at her.

“I have no intention of dating… I really don’t want to talk about… that…”

“About safe ?” Areum said.

“Yes… that.” Ari narrowed her eyes. “Did grandma talk to you about it?”

“No, she was old-fashioned, but you see, I am not,” Areum said. “There are things you should know. How to stay safe, how to protect yourself, and what not.”

But thanks to them, both Ilhoon and Ari were raised well. They both knew that they could always turn to their parents, no matter what was in question, no matter the age. They were there. Even when Ari had her phase, which was not easy at all, they all endured it. Looking back on it now, she was thankful to have them in her life.

She smiled and chewed on a grape.

“Would our Hana like something sweet?” Baekhyun cooed.

“Yes!” Hana clapped her hands

Areum chuckled. “Vanilla ice cream?”

“YES!”

“Coming right up!” Baekhyun winked.

The love that this family has never ceased to amaze him. Of course, Kims and Parks. They all have and bear so much love. His own biological family has no love to give. He was invisible to them. His pleas were as if he had spoken to walls. School? Eunji and Jongin spent every moment being interested in every activity. His biological parents? Nothing. They barely bothered to see his marks dropping. 

"Oppa..." Hana pouted. 

"Yes, sorry..." 

She hugged him tightly. He was taken by surprise. 

"What's wrong, darling?" 

"You're sad, so I'm sad," she mumbled. 

Ari looked at him softly. "Are you okay?" She mouthed. 

Taeyong softened at Hana and then smiled at Ari. He nodded. "I'm okay, I was just thinking." 

"Mom says it's bad to lie, Tae," Hana pouted.

"Hana, why don’t you play with us while your brother takes a walk?" Baekhyun asked. "Your brother has a big exam coming up so he is worried."

Hana nodded and hugged him tightly once more before she moved from Taeyong. Taeyong looked at the male and smiled. 

"Ri, wanna take a walk with me?" 

"I would love
