Hyukjae woke up because of the bright sunlight shining on his face. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Donghae looking at him with a lovestruck smile. 

“Hi,” Donghae said with shining eyes.

Hyukjae cannot help but smile back. “Hi, why are you watching me?”

“I love you even more in the morning.”

Hyukjae bit his lips to prevent his gummy smile, feeling his heart implode with so much love and affection, and tackled Donghae to the sheets. “You can’t be this cute in the morning, Hae. I can’t handle it~” he whines sweetly as he peppered Donghae with kisses who was giggling underneath him.  

“You’re saying you can’t handle me?” Donghae asked playfully.

“Oh, I can handle you again anytime,” Hyukjae winked suggestively. 

Donghae laughed and Hyukjae watched him contentedly. Now he can stare as much as he likes. Now he doesn’t need to hide the love in his eyes whenever he looks at Donghae.

Hyukjae lifted the corner of his lips to a smirk. “So, did I do well?” 

“Mhmm,” Donghae hummed in affirmative, contentedly wrapping his hands on Hyukjae’s neck.

“Better than your past lovers?”

Donghae snorted. “Are you seriously being jealous right now, Hyuk? After yesterday and everything we did until dawn?”

Hyukjae grinned. “It’s actually a trick question.”

Donghae raised his eyebrows at that.

Hyukjae pecked both eyebrows affectionately. “If you tell me yes, then I’d say let’s do it again. If you tell me no, then I’d say let’s try again so I can be better.”

Donghae laughed at that and pinched his side. “You’re hopeless!”

“Hopelessly in love with you.”

“Oh my god, I didn’t know you’d be this cheesy once you finally confess!” But Donghae was smiling so hard with his eyes sparkling.

“Don’t you like it?” Hyukjae asked with a smile, knowing what Donghae’s answer would be.

“I love it,” Donghae declared and kissed Hyukjae full on the lips.

And for now, that’s enough for Hyukjae. Being with Donghae like this is more than enough. They don’t know what will happen in the next months or years. But Hyukjae is sure of one thing. Having Donghae in his arms like this is like paradise. He’s never felt this happy before, and he’s never seen Donghae as happy as this either. And he doesn’t want to ruin their happiness with thoughts of pain and separation. They deserve to be happy, he knows it. 

He leans in to nibble at Donghae’s lips. Donghae giggles, halfheartedly pushing him away. Hyukjae lifts himself up a little to be able to look at Donghae’s face.

Perfect. He’s perfect. And he’s mine. 

“I love you,” he says reverently, ending the playful atmosphere.

“And I love you too,” Donghae says with as much emotion in his voice. 

Hyukjae leans in again to kiss Donghae, the love of his life. It started sweet but quickly turned passionate, their hands roaming each other's bodies again, echoing their actions last night. And that’s how they spent the entire morning showing again how much they love each other, whispering words of affection in between their moans of pleasure.

They spent the day by lazing in bed and being domestic inside the house, then they went outside to walk along the shore again. Donghae even picked some apple mangoes for Hyukjae and he fell in love all over again. They dipped for another swim at the beach, freely playing together, confident that no one can see them being this sweet and touchy. 

By late afternoon, the two of them reluctantly went back to the other cove to catch the scheduled small boat that would take them back to the main beach. In front of other people, they maintained appropriate distance, but they couldn’t help but give light touches or gentle smiles to each other.

When they arrived back at the resort, Donghae quickly strode to Hyukjae’s room and mindlessly dropped their stuff as soon as they entered the room. 

“Mmmm, it’s nice to have you in private again. I missed kissing you,” Donghae said as he wrapped his arms around Hyukjae and kissed him desperately.

Hyukjae chuckled. “Hae, it’s been what? Less than two hours since we left your private cove?”

Donghae pouted. “It felt so much longer than that.”
