They prepared and ate dinner stuck to each other like glue. It felt like every second they’re not touching is a waste. Hyukjae kept touching Donghae. In his arms, his neck, his shoulders, his back. He also kept kissing Donghae. On his hair, his cheeks, his lips, his shoulders. And Donghae was the same.

“I’ve always wanted to kiss these moles that are like constellations on your skin,” Donghae said as he kissed the moles on Hyukjae’s arms and shoulders.

Hyukjae moaned at the sensation. “Hmm.. Donghae, I think we should eat first.”

Donghae chuckled and raised his head to peck Hyukjae’s lips instead. “Okay, let’s.”

As they ate, they talked about many things. Hyukjae told Donghae how he was flustered during their first interactions together, and his hesitations from the very start, including getting closer as friends. Hyukjae also told Donghae that he’s always been very cautious about his preference.

“Did Heechul hyung ever give you a hint that I was biual?” Hyukjae asked.

“No. And besides, all he knows is that I’m a casual fan of you. I never told him anything, though I know I wasn’t too subtle anyway. I yapped about you all the time ever since that first meeting we had for the comeback.”

Hyukjae chuckled, flattered. “The way he talked to me the other day, it seems like he’s sure you have feelings for me too.” 

Hyukjae also asked about the time when he was drunk, blushing as he asked Donghae if what he remembers were real things that happened or were just things his inebriated mind at the time had made up.

“I thought you won’t remember. And you were such a cute drunk, I couldn’t help myself but be that affectionate,” Donghae said with a matching blush.

“I like it when you take care of me. And I like taking care of you too. I remember that time after Kyuhyun was hospitalized that we both didn’t have much sleep. I loved that feeling of how we took care of each other. How we can lean on each other and be there for each other.”

“I loved that a lot too. I…want to always be like that. I’ll take care of you and you take care of me. Can we do that?” Donghae looked at him with those adorable eyes.

Hyukjae took Donghae’s hand and kissed his knuckles. “Yes, let’s do that.”

Donghae also revealed that he harbored a crush on Hyukjae as an idol for a long time, but has grown to truly like him when they got to know each other; that he wrote ‘Bout You for Hyukjae, and that he purposely toiled on SKYE’s album and asked to be involved up to the music shows just so that he could be with Hyukjae as much as possible. He also told Hyukjae about that time when Ryeowook revealed his orientation.

“Wookie thought he was just revealing that I like it when you dance, and teasing me with it. He didn’t know I hadn’t come out to you yet because in his eyes, he thought we were already flirting with each other.”

“Ahh, that’s why his comments to me at the time were like that.”

“Like what?”

“Do you remember that time I visited you because you were sulking that we didn’t go together?”

Donghae nodded with an embarrassed giggle.

“He said something along the lines of I can go to your room and not to worry because the walls are soundproof.”

Donghae laughed loudly and Hyukjae smiled watching him be this merry. “Yeah he was really surprised when I told him we were just friends.”

“Kyuhyun also told me that everybody at the agency thinks something’s going on between us.”

“Well they aren’t wrong anyway. I guess it was just really obvious that I like you a lot. I really love you, you know? Even if you’re such a tsundere and I kind of felt desperate throwing myself at you,” Donghae teased.

Hyukjae smiled and reached out his hand again to hold Donghae’s at the top of the table, tracing patterns on his knuckles. “I really love you too. And no, I think it was me that’s pretty obvious. Especially for people who know me, they can clearly see how differently I treat you. I don’t really like sharing my food, letting people cling on to me, doting on other people, and many other things; but you’re my only exception. In hindsight, I should have been less obvious. But what can I do? I just really love you so much that I can’t help but show it.”
