A/N: I edited the previous chapter to explain that when Donghae took off his sweater, he still has a (fitted) shirt underneath. Because when I reread it I just realized that I may have confused some of you. 

Hyukjae was distracted and silent as he followed s and their managers to the parking lot. When he entered his designated van with Shindong, he took out his phone and thought of texting Donghae.

“What’s wrong? You were very energetic just a while ago,” Shindong asked him. 

“I think Donghae got mad at me?”

“Because of trying to get his phone? No, he didn't look mad when both of you were rolling on the floor,” Shindong said with a chuckle.

Hyukjae sent his main manager a glare. Even driving, Shindong seemed to see it.

“Seriously though, I don’t think he’s mad. Maybe he’s just shy about you reacting to him taking photos of you.”

Hyukjae hummed and thought about that for a moment.

“Though I wonder why he’s shy now. He was doing it so obviously earlier. You really didn’t notice?” Shindong added.

Hyukjae shook his head. He knows why everybody noticed it except him. Earlier, apart from the start of each dance and that short break he spent with Donghae, he really tried his best to focus on his work and passion. He looked only at his own reflection when dancing because watching Donghae dance is making him feel things he does not want to dwell on. Then during breaks, he’s either dancing off his frustration and to let out steam, or he is closing his eyes so he won’t have to look at a sweaty and y but still adorable Donghae. 

But he knows Donghae suddenly ignoring him is not because of that. He wonders if he should text Donghae to apologize.

Why should I though? I didn’t do anything wrong?

Huffing a sigh, he kept his phone away. 

A few minutes later, he arrived at the dorm and proceeded to soak in a warm bath to relax his sore muscles. Then he made a bowl of ramen and played around with his fans on Bubble. Despite all those relaxing things, he’s still feeling uneasy.

And he knows why.

A bit annoyed because he feels guilty and bothered despite not doing anything wrong, he went to his bedroom to lie down and watch TV mindlessly. Tossing and turning, he checked his phone to see if Donghae messaged him. There’s no message but there’s a notification from Donghae’s Instagram (yes he his notifications for Donghae). He posted an Instagram story of a photo of his window as it rains outside, with one of SKYE's ballad songs as music. 

Hyukjae looked at it for a few seconds and groaned in frustration. He imagined Donghae being lonely and looking at the night sky while the rain was falling, and he hates that image. With the strong urge to hug Donghae again and see him smile, he got up from his bed and changed out of his pajamas.

A short moment later, he’s in front of Donghae’s building, panting and brushing off the droplets of rain that made it to his shirt despite his umbrella. He buzzed Donghae’s unit and Ryeowook let him in. 

“Hi, Hyukjae!” Ryeowook immediately greeted him as he entered the apartment after he went up. 

“Hello,” he answered with a smile. “Is Donghae here?”

“Yep, he’s in his room. Maybe he’s writing a song.”

“Did he eat dinner?”

“Yes, we ate together.”

“What time did he arrive?”

“A little after me, so around 7?”

That means Donghae went home right after they ended practice and has been home for about 2 hours already like him.

“Can I go to his room?”

“Of course! Just go. Don’t worry, the walls here are soundproof,” Ryeowook said with a wink and then sassily walked away. 

Did he just…?

Dumbfounded, Hyukjae stood still for a moment. Is that an implied teasing to making non-innocent noises in Donghae’s room? Ryeowook and Kyuhyun surely would get along well. He distinctly remembers Kyuhyun making the same joke. 

Shaking his head, Hyukjae walked to Donghae’s room and knocked.  

"Come in."

Hyukjae opened the door and peeked inside. He saw Donghae lying on his bed tucked in his blankets and watching something on his iPad. The younger looked up and a surprised expression flitted on his face when he saw Hyukjae, but that immediatel
