When everyone was long gone and she couldn't hear any sound coming from outside, Aurora gazed at Lyla and Zach that were watching them. She tilted her head and Lyla exhaled a breath. What is it? The hora asked, plopping down next to her mate, resting her head on Zach's side. Aurora jerked her head toward Dae'in. Hoping Lyla would understand what she was trying to convey. The Hora gazed at Dae, and they seem to be communicating judging by Lyla's expression, she looked on the verge of doing something drastic. She turned sharply toward her mate, clearly conveying what she had just learned. Zach shook his head hard vehemently that Aurora feared it was going to come right off the next moment I promised Kai I will keep you safe. He sent to Aurora. Aurora gazed at Jae'in, shaking her head. "What the fu– hell are you shaking heads for?" Uncle Yoongi that was taking a nap, sat up glaring between the triplets and the Horas. In response Aurora shrugged, and Jae'in grinned.  "Don't give me that – ow" Uncle Taehyung slapped a hand down uncle Yoongi's head. "Stop cursing in front of them." He scolded, pushing back a mass of red hair. Letting out a huff, Dae stepped forward to stand in front Zach. It took a while before the Horas sagged. It was clear they didn't approve however were willing to compromise. "What is going on Lyla?" Uncle Taehyung asked with a frown. The female hora gazed his way, making a gesture toward Aurora and her siblings with a claw. Uncle Taehyung jumped to his feet, shaking his head. "No, no. Kai would kill me–" "I will kill him before he touches you." Uncle Yoongi said grinning, not bothered by what he just learned. "Babe, be serious. You know what they're planning on doing." "Let them. It's their fate, look at the threads surrounding them, there's no way anyone could stop it from happening. If you insist is gonna go wrong." Uncle Taehyung gazed at them once again. His expressions changing rapidly until he let out a gasp, gazing at Uncle Yoongi. "You're right." He breathed out.  "Of course I am." Uncle Yoongi smiled. "Our job is to protect them, not intervene." When uncle Taehyung and the Horos nodded their approval, Aurora eagerly moved to Dae that was still sat in front of Zach. He extended his tail to her and Aurora did the same with hers . Magic flowed into her, the moment she touched it. Jae inched forward and linked his tail with theirs, allowing their brother to feed them his magic. Moments later, her body trembled, while willing her form to change like Dae had instructed in her dream. Her tiny form began to grow until it reached a certain stage, then it shifted, appearing to be a nine year old elf. On wobbling legs she stood, and let Jae'in take his fill. Not used to hominid body, she swayed, but managed to steady herself as she gaze at her feet in fascination. Long blue hair dangled in her face, the color was exactly like her Hayrik's. When she extended her hands to take a look her skin was blue, once again like her Hayrik's. Minho– that she had totally forgotten about his presence– let out a sound that caught her attention. When their eyes met, he took a hasty step back away from her as though seeing a monster. Jae rolled his eyes, snickering as he took elfin form as well. He was different from her, his skin was grayish blue. He stood as well, hands on his hips– just like their grandpa Wei Ying tend to do when exasperated– and she couldn't help gaping at the tiny thing dangling between his legs that she didn't have. It was only when Jae put a hand to cover the thing that she snapped her head to up. He glared and she glared back. Black hair cascade down his spine. His eyes however had changed, they were exactly like their dad's. Golden. Not the usual blue they had inherited from Sehun.  "W-what in the name–" Minho began to say but she was in front of him, her eyes blazing red. Being small gave her advantage to look directly into his eyes. "You'll not speak of this to anyone." She began, finding it easy to speak despite being it her first time. She had listen to her parents speak since before she hatched and had seen and heard her family speak many times and occasionally Dae'in. It wasn't hard. Minho's eyes mirrored hers, only slightly lighter as he bobbed his head slowly. "I will not speak to anyone of this." She pulled back in an attempt to smile, the way she had seen her Aunt Irene do. "Good! Now sleep" She patted his shoulder before stepping away, as Minho drop to the floor in a heap. Zach let out a sound that would be a laugh if he were hominid. That's not how to smile, you're grimacing with your teeth exposed. "I try" she said, with a shrug, something she had once again picked up from her family. In response Zach shook his head fondly, bending low to nuzzle Lyla that seem to be falling asleep. "You're so freaking beautiful." Uncle Taehyung gushed. "I wish Kai could see this." "I agree." Uncle Yoongi hummed. "But You shouldn't be going around ." he made a gesture with his hands and a garment appeared on her, Jae too. She glanced to see Dae now also in elfin form. He was different from them, and seem used to the form, with pants on. Like how she had seen him in her dream, the only difference was he look to be nine year old too, and without the wings. When her brother had explained their role in the war, it had taken her a while to understand, when she finally did, she had thought it impossible. Due to some factors. One: they were practically newborns, despite growing in a significant rate. Two: their magical powers were yet to properly manifest. Lastly: their mental capacity was lacking. But Dae had said those factors didn't really matter. Their instinct would guide them, like it had always did and magic was what they had in abundance despite being whelps. The three were linked mentally and physically in a way that no one could understand, which was why their growth was abnormal even on elfin standard.  She didn't know how they did it, but the will to get bigger and play their role was probably what made it possible.  "I am curious." Minho spoke, when Aurora gaze at him, he was sat but no longer asleep like she had compelled him to. He was still under persuasion, though. I woke him. Zach told her. "How are you able to take elfin shape so fast?"  She pursed her lips, tempted to put him back to sleep but decided to let him be. Zach must have a good reason to keep him awake. "Dae'in!" She simply said.  Dae being a magenta dragon had more abilities than just being able to dream walk. He was a shape shifter. And he had allowed them access to his powers. Though it wouldn't last long– they would be back to being babes–but it would be enough to get things done.   "What now?" Jae asked, pushing away a mass of black hair out of his face, a hand on the elastic of the pants he wore. "I am going to visit a place like I said." Dae spoke, his voice soft, exactly the way he had spoken to her in her dream. "I won't take long, hopefully" He lay on the floor, shutting his eyes. Aurora frowned, she didn't know all of Dae's plan, since he was one with the knowledge of everything. "Where are you going?" "Beyond mortal veil." "What is that?" Jae asked, genuinely curious. "You can travel to the underworld?" Minho asked sounding awed.  Dae his lips. "I am my Hayrik's son, I can spirit walk just like him. Though we all can, but my siblings won't be able to, not yet. Not until they're old enough. I am the only who can now, because I have more elfin traits than them? I am not sure if that's why." "Wow!" The mage exclaimed, that reminded her of uncle Jimin. " You're sure? " Aurora asked, even though she had no idea what Dae was talking about, or what underworld meant. "I don't know. But if plan A didn't work, we still need the other information. That's our plan B. Hopefully both would work out." She nodded, though barely getting what he meant "Be safe and quick." And she hoped whatever Dae wanted to do would work. "Remember what to do if i take more than four hours to wake up." He said, eyes still close. Aurora hummed, that she understood just fine what they were supposed to do. According to Dae, She and Jae were Dae's anchor. That was one of the reasons he had let them borrow his ability to shape shift for a while. Dae dragged in a breath, but he didn't let it out. He stilled. He was gone, just like that. She would have panicked, but the bond she shared with her brother was a constant reminder he was alive. "Come" she told Jae, taking her place on the right side of Dae, taking his hand. With a nod,Jae moved to kneel on other side. Taking Dae's other hand, he kissed it, whispering something she didn't bother to catch. *** Kai watched the sorcerer going down in Jimin's arms. He couldn't believe he had gotten himself killed even before the battle started. Kai would have said it served himself right for putting his trust in Heechul. However he couldn't do that, not when their best– if not only chance at defeating the dark soul had died with him. Why would the fool do that? Did Siwon think Heechul would really listen to him? That he would stop? What an idiot in love. Yes it wouldn't take a genius to figure what Siwon felt for Heechul the moment the sorcerer revealed himself. The look in his eyes had been the type on someone desperate to save their loved one. What a tragic love story. Kai concluded with a sigh  Jimin was sobbing, clutching Siwon's lifeless body that was wrapped in some sort of magic web and Kai wondered why the sea elf would be so sad for someone he barely knew, someone he had just met a few days back, someone that had been on the opposite side until recently. The only thing Kai felt was pity for the sorcerer, it was cruel no matter what, to die at the hands of someone you love. And the fact his dragon hated seeing life ending, no matter whom it belonged to. The field was silent. No one made a sound as though they were mourning the fallen sorcerer. When he gazed behind, Kai realized that was probably the case, and confirmed his suspicious when he grazed their minds. Wei Ying, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Lan Zhan, and even Bang Chan that hadn't any interaction with the man had a sad expression on their faces. His mom reaction was what surprised him, the warrior wiped her eyes as she glared at Heechul with obvious hatred and a look Kai understood well. Revenge.  She was silently vowing to avenge the sorcerer as well anyone that had faced Heechul's cruelty. Kai never knew the sorcerer had found his way into people's hearts so fast. His mom was understandable, considering he had helped her.Or maybe Hyoyeon did know what Kai didn't? Other than being the one to help Taehyung get them out of Lyfe and as of recent tried to make up for –his crime– releasing the dark elf, Kai didn't think Siwon had done anything remarkable. Or was Kai being cold-hearted to see the good in Siwon? Sniffing ,Jimin stood up, taking Siwon with him as he made for the back, no one stopped him nor try to help, save for Chanyeol, which the sea elf shook his head to, before disappearing into the woods. Was he taking the sorcerer to the medics for help? He was already dead. Letting out a sigh, Kai's gaze found Heechul. He was still stood there, shoulders slumped, if Kai didn't know Heechul, he would have thought the dragon was having a hard time accepting what he had done. Ending Siwon. Shaking his head as though to get a hold of himself, Heechul squared his shoulders, and regarded Kai as though Kai were an unusual species of animal, encountered in the wild and possessing a large mouth full of larger teeth. He looked, in short, as though he were bracing himself to engage in a wrestling match, and was wondering why Kai hadn’t pounced yet. "What now?" Wei Ying asked. Averting his gaze from Heechul, Kai shrugged."Try and take him out on our own." He said. He should have known the universe wouldn't make things easier for them. Like he had thought, Siwon's plan had sounded too good to true and hated that he had been ing right. "Can we even do that without him?" Donghae asked, looking doubtful. "May his soul rest in peace." Eunhyuk mumbled, before he straighten up. "We have to try. We cannot give up, just because things didn't go as we thought they would." "Yes ."Wendy agreed, clutching her weapon, she was one of those that wasn't affected by Siwon's death. She never liked him to begin with. "We're going to do everything we can to make sure we save Sehun." Wei Ying glanced at Kai. "And we shall succeed. "Lan Zhan nodded. "Get ready –" Kai began but swallowed the rest of his words when he sensed a certain presence. "You really want to fight this battle?" A voice said, that sent Kai's heart racing. Swirling around he watched as Sehun– the dark soul strolled through the gates and Soldiers moved, giving him a wide berth like they were afraid to get close to him, with good reason.  He strode toward them unhurried, like a person with nowhere in particular to be. His expression hard. Kai's breaths hitched as got a proper look at him. Oh damn he had shaved half of Sehun's hair. His mate would be really mad to the point of vomiting blood. "You can't defeat me. Every death here is only going to make me stronger." He stopped right beside Heechul, gazing at them. He smiled briefly when he sighted Kai and that didn't sit well with Kai. "Oh the golden dragon." He waved a hand, the bracelet catching the sunlight. "I've found the prophecy, regarding your death by my hands, how does that make you feel?" Kai flinched, but other than that he didn't react like the elf was hoping for. He so badly wanted to bolt and yank the bracelet off him, burn his souls with the most hottest golden fire and be done with it. "I prefer that one to the second one. As long as the golden dragon's pure heart beat the darkness is doomed to fail. What a joke." He scoffed. " Good thing I am certain none of you truly understood it. Not even Magus Choi that had ran off to side with you" He went on, grinning and Kai frowned, not liking the way he seemed so confident. "What a shame I genuinely liked him, he should have stick with me." Kai, the Lans and Eunhyuk shared a brief look and he could see the questions in their eyes that mirrored his. "We'll appreciate it if you share that knowledge." Eunhyuk said. "Ah Hayrik." He called with a child like excitement as If suddenly noticing Eunhyuk. "You're no son to me." Eunhyuk shot him a glare. The elf placed a hand to his chest."Ouch, I am hurt." He bowed mockingly. "I will address you as his Majesty, then. However why would I do that? I mean share the true meaning of the prophecy? I will be a damned fool if I did." He chuckled and Kai could see the phantom imag
