Kai was truly here? Sehun peeked from the bed, and sure enough his senses weren't playing tricks on him. Kai was stood there, panting hard, he was bruised, like he had been in a fight. Which was expected considering he just broke into Sehun's ship. Beside Kai was another dragon Sehun recognized. Yixing. The doctor was holding a bag, as though ready to attend to a patient. Looking between the two, realization dawned on him, Kai had brought Yixing to assist Sehun with the birthing. How he knew Sehun was still pregnant or it was time, was something to figure out later. "Sehun!" Kai called, making for the bed, but was stopped by Hyunjin, blocking his way. The wolf placed a hand on Kai's chest, shaking his head, seemingly unbothered by Kai's intimidating size. "You're looking for death, boy. You have no idea how much I am holding back from harming you."Kai shook off the hand, and continued on.  Not to be outdone, Jimin put himself between Kai and the bed. "Sehun is very protective of the eggs, I don't think it's a good idea to push forward." "And I don't think it's a good idea to step between a dragon and his eggs." Yixing said from behind. There was tension in the cabin, thick enough that Sehun could feel every hair on his body stood on end.  “I have to see my eggs,” Kai responded in growly tone, his eyes flashing golden. “My eggs,” Sehun shot from where he was. He'd be damned if Kai was going to break into his ship then co-opt his eggs. “I didn't see them come out of your .” The dragon flinched. “My apologies. Our eggs, then." "And who are you?" Jimin shot, gazing behind Kai. "Kai's friend. A doctor." Yixing said, smiling. "Jimin let him through." Sehun said. The look on Kai's face was something he could relate to. At this point Kai would do anything to be close to his eggs, to make sure they were alright and anyone that stood in the way was bound to get hurt. Jimin looked over with a frown, when Sehun gave a nod, he let out a sigh, before stepping to the side. It was strange how none of his crew was here– not even Jungkook– how Kai was able to get in, but the most important thing was: Kai truly being on his ship, in his cabin. Kai all but dash to reach Sehun. The moment he was close enough, Kai dropped to his knees, a breath catching in his throat at the sight of the eggs. "It's true, three did survived.  You did an amazing job all by yourself." He mumbled, the unadulterated happiness on his face was something Sehun had never seen on anyone.  Sehun watched with rapt attention as Kai reached out to touch the nearest egg. And he let him. Truth was, he didn't feel the need to protect his clutch from Kai. It was like his instinct knew they were safe with Kai. Their sire. So many intense emotions flickering, that Sehun couldn't afford to see on Kai's face, that caused his heart to hammer continuously against his chest. Thus he turned his head to the side, allowing Kai a moment with his eggs, their whelps. Dear Sadok. They were truly theirs. "You have no idea how happy I am, I never thought I would one day hold my own children especially when–" he trailed off and Sehun understood what he didn't say. Kai had lost hope of becoming a father, when he thought the whelps had been miscarried. Truth was, never in his million imagination had Sehun thought he would come a father as well. In his imaginative future he just didn't see that possibility. However fate worked in a strange way, to make him have a dragon– ironically a species he had swore to hate– children. Children he would lay his life protecting. "What the hell are you doing here?" Sehun asked after a moment had passed, he didn't want to think about about the future. The eggs were here. There was no going back. Whether Kai was going to be in their lives was something else, he hadn't the energy to pounder. "How do you even know I was still pregnant?" Kai lifted his head to gaze at him. "Isn't it obvious?" "I don't want you here." He said, and he swore his dark side just gave him the middle finger. Kai shrugged."Being unwanted is not exactly a new thing to me. As for you previous question. My dragon knew you're still carrying our whelps." His eyes lingered on Kai's and the feeling he saw in those golden orbs had Sehun flushing. "Are you well Sehun?" The concern in his tone was truly genuine. "You look pink." Frowning, Sehun quirked an eyebrow,."Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" "The bastard–  my dragon lured me–" he shook his head. "Made me believe you're in danger, I had to come as soon as I could. How could I forget you're not a regular bearer. You're able to lay the eggs just fine, without needing my presence." He sounded almost disappointed at himself. "So you wouldn't have come If the dragon didn't make you?" Sehun found himself saying, unable to hide the bitterness in tone. "Would you have welcome me?" Kai asked as a matter of fact. A quick memory trip to the last time he had seen Kai had him shaking his head."No I wouldn't have." He said truthfully. "Nonetheless, I am glad I came" Kai smiled, once again his eyes going to the eggs. "They're beautiful." "Of course they are, I laid them after all." He had meant that as a joke but Kai nodded seriously. "Just like their Hayrik".  Hayrik.  That word had Sehun flushing even more, heart jumping in his chest. Gods he couldn't wait for the whelps to grow and hear them call him Hayrik. Seemingly unaware of the affect it had on Sehun, Kai repeated the word as though testing it. Then he abruptly glanced at Yixing as though suddenly remembering the doctor's presence. "I know it's going to be hard, but I need Yixing to check on you and them to make sure everything is fine. He's experienced." Sehun hummed, he also wished to know how his eggs were doing. That was all the doctor needed before he came forward. "Hello Sehun, it's good to see you again." He greeted, and Sehun knew he meant those words. "Good to see you too Yixing." Sehun said, and surprisingly he meant it as well. Yixing started with the eggs.He placed his hand, very gently, on each egg for a few seconds, starting with the largest one and ending with the smallest, palest one.“They’re viable,” he pronounced. Sehun had held his breath with each exam, until the doctor declared them healthy. When it was time to examine Sehun, Kai let out a growl the moment Yixing placed a hand on Sehun's belly. Yixing rolled his eyes but didn't stop what he was doing, until another growl came from Kai.  The doctor paused to glare at the general. "I can't examine him properly if you keep doing that." "Sorry. Can't help it." Kai slapped a hand over his mouth. "Don't mind me." He mumbled. Yixing let out a sigh,"Or you can step out for a–" "No" both Sehun and Kai said in unison. The doctor gave them a look, and then nodded, as if in understanding. Sehun didn't know what came over him, but every instinct screamed at him to have Kai close, where he could protect their clutch while Sehun was still weak. He didn't know how long Kai planned on staying, but he had a feeling when the time comes it might be difficult to let Kai go. "Any pain?" Yixing asked, putting a little pressure on Sehun's belly. "Slightly" Sehun said. "I am going to heal you now. Thoroughly. It's gonna feel a little uncomfortable." The doctor said. "Do I really need it? I have good regenerative ability." "I know you do, but this would speed up the process. Take away all this access fat." He made a back and forth motion on Sehun's belly. At that Sehun perked up."I will have my abs back?" He really hoped so. He was especially lazy to work out. Something dragons and other were creatures didn't need to. Their metabolism was exceptional. Lucky bastards. The doctor chuckled, with a shake of his head. "No, you'll have to workout for that, I will just help reduce the size of the belly." When he had Sehun's accent, the doctor begin his work. All Sehun felt was a little tingling. The last time Yixing had healed him he was unconscious thus didn't know how it felt. The doctor didn't linger, once done he pulled his hands back, with a nod. Sehun would lie if he say he wasn't amazed by Yixing's skill as he touched his belly. It was flat, like he hadn't carried and just given birth to three eggs. If it weren't for the absence of his abs, he would have thought everything that happened had been a dream. What would have taken minutes had been done within seconds"Thanks, i–" His words were interrupted when an angry looking Jungkook came barging in, katana ready in his hand. "You." The words were spat out, directed at Kai that was also looking at the new comer.  Sehun knew things were about to get ugly if he didn't do something. Jungkook would strike. But before Sehun could speak, Jimin beat him to it."Jungkook hold on" the sea elf said, coming to stand in front of the knight, placing a gentle hand on his as he slowly lowered Jungkook's hand holding the weapon. "He's here for the eggs." "Eggs?"It was as If a bucket of water had been poured on him, Jungkook paused, blinked, then blinked again, turning his attention to Sehun, his expression comical. "Sehun are you alright? I heard your screams." "Yeah I am find." Sehun gritted out. He hated the fact that he had shown a sign of weakness. He was a ing dark soul, and pain like that shouldn't faze him. But , giving birth was truly painful.  "You had eggs?"  Not elfin babes? Was what the knight didn't say but Sehun understood just right. Because they had all thought Sehun was going have elfin babes, not dragon eggs. "Yeah, I did" he pointed at the eggs laying next to him. "There all healthy." A rare sight, Jungkook smiled, his happiness obvious. "Thank Sadok. You have my congratulations." Then he frowned, eyes going to Kai."He knocked me out." He said accusingly. "And put some magic on the rest of the crew, while I was distracted. " As if on cue, Chanyeol and four more crew members rushed in, accusing Kai of breaking in and putting them under persuasion. Sehun now understood why it took long for them to show up, and how Kai was able to get into his cabin, however he didn't understand how Kai was able to get into the ship like he owned it. He glare at Kai, and the dragon shrugged. "Sorry I had to." "They should be the ones you apologize to not me." Sehun had expected Kai to be defiant but surprisingly he wasn't. He turned around, facing the crew members, before bowing deeply. "I am sorry for the trouble I've caused. Forgive me." They people were stunned Into silence. Not a single one of them said a word, all blinking at Kai with similar expressions. "Never seen a dragon apologizing?" Hyunjin joked with a grin. Yeah, they never had. That much was clear. They had thought all dragons arrogant, and incapable of the word sorry. Sehun shook his head. "How did you get into the ship?"  "He made a hole at the dock" Chanyeol supplied. "You made a ing hole in my ship?" Sehun asked, his eyes sending daggers. "That's my only way in." Kai raised both hands in apology. "Though It has been repaired, but he sure did." Jungkook nodded. Rubbing at his temple, Sehun opened his mouth to dismiss the crew, but was once again interrupted. However this time, by a family of Horas. Zach, Lyla In the lead and their four cubs trailing behind them. "Zach?" Kai called, his face lit up at the sight of his familiar. Zach had been with Lyla since the moment Sehun returned, and Sehun could relate how much Kai missed the Hora. The dragon dropped to his knees, opening his arms. Zach didn't keep him waiting, he closed the distance between them as he snuggled the dragon. Kai wrapped his arms around him, laughing and the fondness was undeniable "I miss you too buddy." That much was clear. Like a pair of children, the two rolled around the floor, each trying to express how happy he was to see the other. Zach was scent marking Kai, and the general returned the gesture. They played for a while before they paused, and Zach nodded. They seemed to be communicating telepathically, judging from the way their expressions changed. Kai being pinned by Zach, jerked his head toward Sehun and the Hora followed his line of sight. Zach's eyes went wide before he lifted off Kai. Sehun was so engrossed in watching the two's reunion that he failed to notice when three cubs joined them on the bed. It was only when Zach let out a sound, eyes fixated on beside Sehun, that prompted the elf to follow his line of sight. Cain was watching the silver egg, tails swishing widely. Abel had his attention on the black egg while Lilith was using one of her tails to poke the magenta egg. Young female Horas didn't have spikes on their tails, which was why Sehun didn't freak out. Lyla came forth, looking at Sehun with awe. "They're beautiful Sehun." She told him. 'You did a wonderful job bringing them into this world. I cannot wait for them to hatch.' 'Thanks' Sehun smiled. He didn't know if the eggs would follow the normal dragon incubation period to hatch. Which would be six months or might hatch sooner like the way he came three weeks earlier , but he couldn't wait to meet them. Congratulating words passed by from his crew. They were all happy to have new additions to the crew. It had been long since anyone had a babe.  When Sehun met Seokjin, the vampire was heavily pregnant. His boyfriend's family disapproved of him, and had forced the other to take a mate, which was something Seokjin couldn't accept, thus he had ran. When the girl reached three, he had sent her to Logan–her sire's home planet– to a boarding school and now she was five. However she did come visit occasionally.  Sehun understood Seokjin didn't want his daughter to grow up in such environment. But when it came to him, Sehun wouldn't send his whelps away, he would raise them on the ship by himself.  However he would definitely give them a good education when the time comes. Sehun thanked them all. Jungkook and Chanyeol made to come take a look, but the cute growls from the cubs had them stopping in tracks. The cubs were very protective of the eggs, that was obvious. Lyla chuckled, shaking her head fondly. "It seems the eggs have found their future familiars. It's going to be a headache for anyone other than you and Kai to get close to the eggs as long as these three are present." Sehun that had his attention on Lyla, looked between the eggs and the cubs. "What do you mean?" He asked out loud. "They've imprinted on them. They would form a familiar bond in the future, the type you and I shared. Unless the whelps didn't want to, then the bond wouldn't be completed."
 
"What? Really?" Sehun couldn't believe it. It was hard to find a Hora, more harder to bond with one. It was considered great Honor to he chosen by a Hora. All those years, he never thought Lyla's cubs would one day choose someone close to him to be their bonded. He had been prepared to let the cubs go when they grow up and find the people they chose to bond with. But apparently that wouldn't be needed.  He glanced at Kil, that was stood silently by her mom, watching her siblings. "What about her?" Lyla shrugged. "She's still young. Maybe she'll find hers when she grows up. Or probably another kid from you would be her bonded." Another kid from you. That phrase had Sehun's mind going back to his dream. The two lost whelps, but they had promised to come back to him when the time was right. Did that mean he would have to be with Kai to have them? Not wanting to think of the future, Sehun shook it away. Future was something that always scared him. Looking at the three cubs taking a defensive stance next to the eggs, Sehun couldn't help but laugh out loud. That earned him looks from the others, but the one he gave his attention to was Kai. But before Kai could ask, he pulled the blanket over himself, readying to take a nap. "What amuses you?" Kai asked, coming to stand next to him. "Nothing." Sehun shook his head, closing his eyes. Gods he was so tired. He needed a bath, and a good meal. But more than anything he needed to sleep. And with Kai around, he knew his eggs were safe. Thus allowing himself a moment to regain his strength was essential. "Sleep. You need it. I will protect our clutch." Kai said to him. Having Kai's assurance, he allowed his eyes
