Everyone silently watched as Jimin explained what they needed from the sorcerer at same time using elfin magic to heal the wounds on his back. Kai watched the sorcerer, Siwon was listening attentively, nodding along. Feeling a sudden mental tug, Kai gazed to where Zach was, however his familiar wasn't looking his way. Which meant it was the whelps. He should better check on them, because they tend to wake up hungry in the middle of the night. And had most likely woken up now. He bolted up his seat, without excusing himself and made for Sehun's room. Taemin and Minho were not where he left them, and his heart hammered as he quickly pushed open the door. He was being paranoid, however he couldn't feel at ease knowing his mate was taken under this very roof and gods forbid his whelps might be too. However that wasn't the case, he let out a breath he didn't realize had gotten stuck in his throat. They were fine. Minho and Taemin were inside, feeding the whelps. The pair had whelps–that Kai once threatened to take away– of their own, it was no surprise they understood what the whelps wanted. All three were awake– something they tend to do, as if sharing a psychic connection that nudge the other awake once one of them woke. Kai wouldn't put it past them. They were special. Two whelps paused and looked his way. Excited at the sight of him, Aurora and Dae'in made attempt to come to him, however he stopped them. "Carry on. Just came to check on you." He said, with smile. Jae'in didn't even look his way. The whelp was busy eating everything his teeth could catch like he couldn't get enough, no wonder he was the largest, he did not joke with his food. With another fond smile at the whelps, he nodded at Taemin before turning around to leave, only to bump into someone. Cursing under his breath, he gazed to see his older brother rubbing at his nose with a red face. "Sorry didn't know you'll be here." Kai said, taking away his brother's hand to take a look. "No damage has been done." He nodded to himself. Junmyeon glared at him,"I came to check on you, I thought something happened the way you bolted without a word." Kai closed the door, humming."Yeah, just felt a tug from the whelps, they woke up hungry." "Oh" Junmyeon let out. "You did that when you're a whelp." He said absentmindedly, his eyes going to the rooms down the hall. The act seem to be subconscious. Kai quickly caught on."You can go and see him you know." He told his brother, that snapped his head to look at Kai with wide eyes.  "I wasn't–" Junmyeon began to say, however Kai cut him off. "I know that look." He said. " You're no longer under Heechul's control. You're allowed to want him, have him. He's your treasure Hyung." He needed his brother to understand that. Yixing and Junmyeon had known what they meant to each other for long, however because of fear and status, none of them could act on it. Not even secret meetings. He couldn't image how hard that must have been on both. Kai also know it was because of Junmyeon that Yixing decided to stick with him, just so he could catch a glimpse of his mate. They had suffered long enough. They deserve each other now. Junmyeon tilted his head, blinking rabidly "I really can?" He whispered, as though afraid Kai would tell him otherwise. In response, Kai placed both hands on Junmyeon's shoulders and steered him to the direction of the guest wing. Yixing had come with the others, and had been trying to get Junmyeon's attention, while the blue dragon had avoided him insistently . It was almost funny to see Junmyeon trying hard to avoid his mate. "Yes Hyung. You really can." Kai assured, "Go see him. I will be heading back." Junmyeon swirled to look at him with glassy eyes. "No Hyung, don't cry on me, I can't have that." Kai shook his head. "Just go already." He nudged the older a little. With determination b in his eyes, Junmyeon began to walk. Kai watched him until he was almost at the corner that lead to Yixing's room, before turning to head in the opposite direction. Just when he reached the end of the hall, Junmyeon called out to him and Kai paused, without turning around. "Thank you." He told Kai. "I will keep your words in mind." "You're welcome." Kai smiled to himself, waving a hand before proceeding back to the guest hall. Stepping inside, he caught sight of Eunhyuk, his eyes on Kai, raising an eyebrow in a silent question. Kai shook his head with an okay sign, to assure him everything was fine. The elfin king sagged against his seat, nodding at Kai before turning to speak with his husband. The two must have been worried the way he left without a word. It was clear he wasn't the only one on edge. They all were afraid something unexpected would happen, like it did with Sehun. Jungkook strode over to him, his shoulders tensed. "Is everything okay? The whelps are alright?" Kai patted the Knight's shoulder. "All is well." He said. Jungkook let out a breath. "That's good. I am gonna go check on my father." Oh, that reminded Kai of something he heard Sehun and Jimin talked about. "Has uhm your dad spoke with Eunhyuk?" Sehun had said, it was in Eunhyuk's right to decide what he wanted to do with Taegun. "Yes, he has." Jungkook said, head lowered, it was clear he was deeply ashamed of his father's actions. "I am surprised the king decided to forgive him." The knight gazed at the direction Eunhyuk was for a moment. It didn't surprise Kai. He had known Eunhyuk since he was a child, and knew what type of person he was. "I am glad." Kai said. "Yeah," Jungkook let out once again, rubbing a hand down his face. "Father didn't seem to forgive himself though. It's hard to communicate and make him see things as they are." He shook his head in exasperation. "Anyways, let's focus on the issue at hand." He jerked his head to where Jimin and Siwon were. "Do you think it would work? I mean with the sorcerer." "Honestly I don't know. I trust Lyla with my life. If she thinks there's a chance then I will give him a chance too." "But you'll rather have him dead" it wasn't a question,but a statement of fact and Jungkook seem to share the same sentiment. It was clear Jungkook had a grudge against the sorcerer for many things, one of which was him being responsible for manipulating Taegun into betraying the elfin race, and of course manipulating Baekhyun's vision to lead Sehun to Coaster Z. Kai shook his head. "Thanks but I can handle him if it comes to that."  Jungkook hummed with a bow, before heading out of the guest hall. With a sigh, Kai went back to his seat too. Jimin was still talking, however he had reached the end. When the sea elf shut his mouth, Siwon didn't speak right away, he seemed to be in thought. Kai was at the end of his patient, and was about to demand he speak up but bit back his words, when the sorcerer finally opened his mouth. "I won't lie to you, what you're proposing wouldn't work, not the way you're hoping for at least." Siwon said, eyes going to the people around the room. "Then I can kill him now?" Kai asked seriously, a minute away from jumping to his feet. If the sorcerer couldn't do what they want him to, he didn't have any use. He was better off dead. "No" Jimin said, glaring at Kai. Kai glared back with intensity."Why? He obviously didn't have any use to us." He decided to spell it out in case the sea elf was too dense to notice. Kai hated that he couldn't read Siwon, when at a time like this it was the one thing he so badly wanted to do, even though he trusted Lyla he wanted to see through mage's head.  Siwon's attention was on Jimin as he said. "Protecting that many souls is impossible, not from him at least. However I am confident, i can make ten soul charms or find another way if that's what you want me to. Still they might not be effective against him." He had a hunted look on his face, his almost eyes unfocused as though reliving a horrible moment. "You have no idea what he's capable of." He mumbled that, but Kai heard him, alright. Kai could imagine what that was about. He tried really hard to control himself, but the thought of the dark elf using Sehun's body to do horrible things was causing an untameable rage to build inside him, to the point his talons pushed out, tearing into something that he wished for some miracle would be Siwon's skin or more preferably Heechul's. The warlord didn't really care about what Kai did to his furniture, he was aiming to snap Kai out of that rage and he had succeed in doing so. It was like Wei Ying did something to that untameable rage in him and Kai felt like he could breath better. "You saying the charms we've managed to make won't be affective?" Jimin said, he looked as though he was about to cry for the failure. "Can i see a sample of what you make?" Siwon asked, and Jimin took out a charm to show him. "You have Mechas?"  Wei Ying hummed. "Why?" "These charms could be use on the Mechas. Casting a spell on non living things is easier and more affective than on living things. These Mechas didn't have a soul– at least there will be several layers between the person and the enemy, which means the dark elf doesn't have a direct advantage." "You mean instead of fighting with our people head on we should use Mechas? But not anyone knows how to operate a Mecha. Besides we don't have that many for everyone." "Can burn away his dark souls within that little window we get. And then you can use your armies to suppress Heechul's." Remove the bracelet? That was a good idea. If that would work, it would be great to end things before anyone get hurt or at least much damage was done. However Kai knew it wouldn't be easy, it sounded too good to be true. But if for some miracle it did work out that simply, there was something he desperately wanted to know and as If seeing through his mind, Jimin voiced his precise concern. "Eh I've been wanting to know something." Jimin said, catching Siwon's attention. "Do you think Sehun's dark soul will be safe if Kai–" Kai held his breath, and waited. The sorcerer let out a soft laugh,"Of course he would be. Kai wouldn't be able to harm anything related to Sehun. He's destined to have a dark soul as his mate.The fates won't be cruel to make things complicated that way." Siwon said "I am sure he can get it done as long he gets close enough. The main issue will be the dark soul away his dragon souls." Thank Gods. Because Kai didn't know what he would do if it turns out Sehun would be affected. "Well that's good to hear." Just that it's very powerful, that could take away someone's magic partially or completely. I think it was originally made as punishment tool, to take away a mage's magic if the situation arose."
