"Hey can I talk to you for a moment?" Baekhyun said. Sehun that was already at the door paused, he turned around with both eyebrows raised. "Huh?" "Not you, but him." The cyborg jabbed a finger at Kai's direction.  "Oh, I will be in the armory." Sehun said, he gave Baekhyun and Kai a look as though curious as to what they were going to talk about. With a shrug he proceeded out.  "Can I?" Baekhyun asked again, making his way to where the eggs were, a fond smile on his face. "They're beautiful." He murmured to himself. "Yeah sure." Kai nodded. He didn't know what the other wanted to talk about but he had a feeling it had something to do with something he saw, and probably didn't want to share it with Sehun. The cyborg was gazing at the cubs, laying next to the eggs– their ears perked up, eyes fixed on the eggs, like they were watching guard– before he gave his attention to Kai."How long are you gonna keep lying to him?" He rubbed at his temple, giving Kai a brief glance. Kai's heart hammered. Though he didn't have a problem with the cyborg, however he didn't like the way the other gazed at him like he knew all of Kai's most hidden secrets. "What do mean?" He scowled.  The cyborg scowled back."About his parents, you know they're alive and you're still lying." He threw his hands in the air in a gesture. Kai's scowl deepened. It wasn't a surprise Baekhyun had picked that knowledge from his mind. After all he had the ability."I am not lying, I just didn't tell him" "Why?" The other demanded arms crossed over his chest, legs parting in a guarded stance, that almost had Kai rolling his eyes. This person was Sehun's friend, a very close one from what he noticed. Kai had picked up Sehun's emotions, he knew his mate cared for this person and the feeling seemed to be reciprocated."You know Sehun better than I do." Which was true even though he didn't like it. Though Kai was Sehun's mate, and had put a claim on him, however Baekhyun had been Sehun's friend for years. " Do you think he will stay still if he know his parents are alive?" "No, he would definitely not." Baekhyun agreed with a slight shake of his head. "He will surely rush to Lyfe to get his parents."  Glad that the other understood, Kai said."And what do you think my father will do to him if he gets his hands on him again?" Shoving his human hand inside his pocket, Baekhyun lifted his head from the eggs."I don't know. But definitely nothing good." "My point." Kai hummed. For many times– especially a few moments ago when saw the look on Sehun's face when he spoke about his father– since he had came to this ship, he had thought about telling him the truth, but knowing Sehun's impulsive nature, especially when it involved someone he hold dear, he would rush head first into trouble. That was why he had held back. No matter how much he wanted to see his mate happy, he wouldn't do that at the expanse of his safety. "But for how long are you going to keep hiding it?" "He's not ready yet, to face my father. And I am sure you know when it comes to it, I will stand by Sehun." Especially now that he had bounded himself to Sehun, Kai would do anything, even going as far as harming his blood relatives if it meant preventing harm to come Sehun's way. "I know." Hopefully he might not even need that much time. When he made for the door, Baekhyun stopped him in tracks. "Drake there's something else I saw that I didn't tell Sehun. " The cyborg sounded troubled. "What is it?" Kai's heart jumped for the second time, swirling around to face Baekhyun. "It's best I show you." Saying so, he moved closer, bringing a hand and placing it on Kai's temple. In an instant images flooded Kai's mind. Images that had his head spinning. Kai gasped, unable to stop his legs from buckling as he bent over, supporting himself with both hands on his knees. They were disturbing to say the least. What he saw was: Sehun stood in the middle of a battlefield, slaughtering anyone that came his way. It didn't matter if it was an elf or a dragon or whatever the race. Some parts of the field was bloody, several bodies without their heads, some had been torn to shred, that it was hard to tell what race the person was once was.  While some parts wasn't bloody, but still dead bodies were littered everywhere as well. Expect this part, the dead were intact. However they looked like their souls had been out of them in the most cruel way. Even for that brief moment, Kai noticed the location was in Lyfe. The tree of Lyfe had been uprooted, just like the other dead bodies, it seemed to be missing it's vitality, like every living substance had been out of it. "No" He continued to gasp for air, shaking his head as if doing so would make the images go away, make them seem less real."That thing is not my Sehun." It was a bloodthirsty monster. He knew his mate enough to know he would never harm his own people in his right mind. If it were solely dragons being slaughtered Kai might understand. But it didn't make sense for Sehun to kill indiscriminately. Especially elves, and their most sacred tree. "I know." Baekhyun let out a sigh as though in pain. "You understand what it means, don't you?" Kai lifted his head to look at Baekhyun, hands still on his knees."Why are you showing me this?" "Because I trust you to help him." The cyborg said. "" Kai straightened, hands clenched. "You mean there's a high possibility of that vision coming to pass?" "Yes, but sometimes the visions could change, it depends on the decisions one makes." *** Sehun wanted to ask what was wrong, even without a bond he could tell something was off with Kai. He had a distant look as though hunted by something. And his complexion was pale even for someone with tan skin. Confused and hoping to get a hint, Sehun glanced at Baekhyun. However his friend was busy sharing embraces with the others. Sehun wondered if he was seeing their future as well. That would be overwhelming to see one's future after the another, an endless cycle of images. However Baekhyun didn't freeze like he had done in Sehun's cabin. Now that he thought about it. Baekhyun had most likely seen his future linked with Kai's, which was the main reason he had pushed Sehun to Storm. He knew Baekhyun enough to guess it without needing the cyborg to spell it out. Watching his friend, Sehun couldn't help but smile. The sly bastard. Next to Baekhyun, Chanyeol was hovering like an excited puppy with hands twitching as though he wanted to pull Baekhyun to his side, but at same time holding himself back. Raising an eyebrow, Sehun wondered when things had developed this far between the two. Or was it one sided? Last he remembered Jimin saying something about Chanyeol wanting to go to Flora-x a few weeks ago. Again he remembered the time he came home from Nero, Chanyeol was there with the cyborg and they seemed to share some sort of bond. Not many could detect them– unless that person was Sehun– The signs were there, how Baekhyun's breath hitched, whenever he involuntary bumped into Chanyeol, or how he tensed when he felt the other's breath against his skin. Kai leaned forward and dropped a kiss to Sehun's forehead. The gesture simple but it had Sehun's heart hammering in excitement. "Nothing to worry about." He brought an arm to wrap it around Sehun, pulling him close, until they could feel each other's heat. "You can share anything with me Nini." Sehun leaned forward, burying his head into Kai's neck, taking in a lungful of Kai's ozone scent. Oh how much he loved this particular scent. "Is that you, showing you care?" Kai murmured into Sehun's hair. "Dream on Drake." Sehun bit Kai's ear, causing the dragon to let out soft moan. "You're asking for it." Kai said, his voice husky. "You're ."  "Oh no, that's not what I intended." Sehun made to pull away but Kai held him, not letting him do that. "Stay still," the dragon murmured, rubbing his hips against Sehun. "Feel that," he buried his face at the crook of Sehun's neck, which caused Sehun to shudder. "Not fair." Sehun said. Truth was, he was also affected by the proximity. His body naturally reacting to his mate's arousal.  "I just need a moment." Kai hugged him, letting out soft sighs in contentment, like having Sehun close was the best thing in his life. Sehun reached out to the hair at the back of Kai's head. He liked his mate better with short military hair, easy to run his o through it, without getting tangled. For a fleeting moment, Sehun thought of cutting his hair short. "No, do not do that. I like it long." Kai told him, head still buried in Sehun's neck, while a hand found its way to Sehun's hair, gentle tugging. Sehun snickered."Who said I care what you like?"  The response he got was a soft chuckle from Kai. "I wouldn't dare." The dragon said, Sehun could hear the amusement in his tone. "Good that you know–" he was cut off when the alarm blared, signaling an unknown ship close by. "There here." His hand tighten around Kai's. "Everything is going to fine. I am here with you." Kai assured. Nodding, Sehun looked up to see his crew watching him with wide disbelieving eyes, as though they couldn't understand what they're seeing. Just a few had a neutral expression. Those that knew about his relationship with Kai. Even though they knew there was a dragon on the ship, most of his crew didn't really know what was his connection with Sehun. And they didn't question his decision to let two dragons on the ship. It wasn't hard to guess what they were thinking. Sehun the elfin pirate that hated dragons with his all, was cuddling with one at the moment, and looking every inch pleased about it.  Sehun's face flushed, and he quickly changed his skin to blue in other to hide it. He wasn't ashamed to be seen like that with Kai, no he was just caught off guard, wasn't expecting his crew to react in such way. Kai seemed to take his reaction in a different negative way though, as he slowly pulled away, putting some space between himself and Sehun, before Sehun could tell him not to. Signing, Sehun glared at his crew."Get your together. What the are you all gawking at?" Mouths snapped shut, eyes averting and the next moment they all scattered about.  "What the is happening?" Came Wendy's voice. Behind her the other Zerg all came forward. They must have heard the alarm. "Visitors." Sehun told them, letting go of his elfin skin. Irene was herself again, she stayed paces away from Sehun as though afraid her brother would unleash his darkness on her. Sehun didn't bother with her, not at the moment. "What visitors?" Wei Ying asked, looking between Sehun and Kai. "Dragons?" Kai nodded."At least one of them is." "Should we get ready for a fight?" Lan Zhan asked, his expression unreadable like always. "No, there's just three of them, one elf, dragon and a human." Sehun explained. "Still we should be prepared. What if–" "Wei Ying not now." Lyla and Zach had joined too, each taking a stance in front their bonded. Ready to pounce on anything hostile, coming their way. Everyone waited, holding their breaths, some even had their weapons drawn just in case, but didn't look like they're going to attach– well not unless Sehun gave the order to.
