𝐇𝐞𝐫

It's been two days since we had a meeting in SM Ent. Eomma is also staying at my apartment for now since I have work and I can't look after the girls full time, and if we still stayed at Jeonju, it would be hard for me since I have to travel 4-5 hours just to get there. So, we decided that Eomma will just be staying at my apartment for a while including Hayeon since she said she wants to spend more time with her nieces so I just let her come with us so that Eomma will also have a little helper with her. 

Those two days I did not allow myself to think any thoughts related to him. It's very energy-consuming once you think of him you will dwell in more thoughts of him. Today is our first day of recording the song that he composed. I'm about to leave my apartment, giving kisses to my daughters when Jisoo called me. 

"Mamaaaaa." she's gesturing me to carry her, I walked to her and carry her close to me. "Why is my baby awake so early? You really sensed that mama's going to work today and probably be away most of the day, huh?" I pressed the tip of my nose against her's and kissed her countless times not leaving any part of her face unkissed. She kept giggling and giggling, I walked out of their room because her sisters might wake up to the giggles that Jisoo's making and it would be harder for me to leave. I walked towards our sofa and sat on it, continue kissing Jisoo cause I'm sure I'm gonna miss them since I'll be away for a day, knowing how their father works, such a perfectionist bastard. 

"Mama needs to go now, Chichu. Mama will try to go back home sooner for you and your sisters, okay? Don't be a mischievous baby and be a good girl to grandma, okay? I love you, my sweet angel." I kissed her once more and gave her to Eomma and slowly leave, trying not to make unnecessary sounds so that I can leave without Jisoo noticing it. 

I'm now on my way to the company since I don't want to arrive late and I also brought Zero with me so that Eomma won't have a hard time looking after the girls and it's also been a long time since I had a solo time with my first baby. I parked my car and went straight to the recording room. I open the door slightly, seeing that there's no one inside, I sat on one of the chairs placed in the corner of the recording room. I sat and played with Zero letting him wander the room and trying to browse my phone while waiting for the other to come, silently wishing that the members of NCT would arrive first. 

The door creaked, signaling that someone was about to come in. Probably one of the members of NCT for he is always the guy who's a little bit late in everything. 

I didn't look up when some familiar scent filled my nostrils, the footsteps stopped in front of me and when I looked up it was him holding a cup of certain coffee, My favorite flavor of coffee. The coffee that I would like to have on an early morning. I kept looking at him confusedly, didn't know what to do whether to accept it or not. 

"Just accept it, Tae. I know you like drinking this to start your day and I also know that you still didn't drink any coffee today since I know you'll just go here immediately." clearly amused at what he said like he just told me in detail what I did this morning but trying hard not to let it show as I accept the coffee from his hands and thanking him. 

I kept drinking my coffee, wishing he wouldn't start any conversations between us and that the members of NCT would arrive sooner. But knowing him he would not let it happen, He cleared his throat, and 

"How are you, Tae? I mean did your break went well? It was a long time since you've been working, Did you find it kinda weird to work again?" he asked softly. 

I nodded and said, "It went great, I had a lot of rest that I needed and learned many things and grew more individually." he smiled, "That's great to know. Having time with yourself really makes you learn and realize many things. Things that you didn't know about before, kinda wish that I realized everything sooner." he continued, "Thanks for agreeing to work with me, Tae. And also thank you for not backing out when you knew that you will be working with me.  really appreciate that, it's nice to know that the message of my song will really have its justice since you'll be the one who's singing it." he said while clutching to his empty coffee cup. 

I smiled and, "It's no big deal, it's plainly for work and it would be unprofessional if I would just back out knowing that I'll be working with you. Besides, I didn't do any project for a long time, and I'm delighted that the company gave me one immediately." continue to sip from my coffee. Wishing that the NCT members would arrive now since I don't want to get stuck alone with his presence more. My wish is heard when the door opened, and Taeil first came in. 

"Good morning sunbaenims. we're really honored to know that we will be working with both of you knowing you're both considered as idols of idols. Please take care of us." they said and bowed to us. 

"Are you guys ready for today? And I told you to drop the formalities." Jiyong said while patting the back of each member. 

"Yes, Jiyong hyung, I know how you work in the recording room. They say you transform into a different person when you're here. So, please be easy on us, Jiyong hyung." Jiyong just laughed at Taeil's remarks and I can't help but chuckle. I know how he can be a perfectionist in the recording room, nobody is safe from his perfectionist even s. I remember they have to stay in the recording room for at least 3 days straight because Jiyong isn't satisfied with the outcome, so they tried to do it all over again, trying to improve some things.

"I can't promise anything, but now let's start and do your best boys," Jiyong said.

𝐇𝐢𝐬

We've been recording for the past 5 hours but we've just finished the first verse and decided to take a mini-break. The boys are doing their best to make the song more profound, there are some parts that I wasn't satisfied with, they would practice singing it before giving it a try and sometimes they would suggest something that will fit the song more. So far, everything's been smooth but the boys have been understanding and doing their best even though I already told them to repeat countless times. 

I look over at her and saw that she's listening to the song through her phone using earphones while Zero, the best boy, is sitting in her lap. That's all she's been doing the past hours, listening to the song, ordering some food for us, texting someone evident that she's checking on something rather someone, and she'll listen again to the song. I try not to stare at her for too long or else the boys might catch me and she'll know that I did nothing but to stare at her. 

I saw Taeil and Taeyong approached Zero and try to play with him. Zero just look at them intently and started to growl at them. Zero jumped off of Tae's lap and started to walk towards me. He then tapped my legs, wanting to settle on my lap. Taeil and Taeyong, as well the other boys stare at me in awe, I just look at them confusedly while petting Zero's head. 

"Waaah, Hyung that's amazing! Zero doesn't like to be touched by anyone who he just met, and most importantly, he doesn't like men. He would always growl at us whenever we tried to pet him, so we just countless times until he got angry with us whenever Taeyeon noona brings him here." Taeil said. 

"Wow, it's my first time to see Zero held by someone whom he just met and didn't get angry. He looks so comfortable in your arms, hyung it seems like he met you numerous times already and grew fond of you." Taeyong said

I quickly denied it, as I felt Taeyeon's stare at me waiting for my response. "What are you guys saying? Maybe he sensed that I also have pets at home and gentle with dogs like him." I chuckled, trying to brush off their speculations.

Tae walked towards me trying to get Zero from me but I said that I'll just hold him since it's time for her to record her part.

We're preparing to record Tae's part which is the chorus. She's now standing doing some small vocalization to warm up her voice. Then she looked at me and signaled me that she'll now enter the recording room. 

"Okay, Tae. You've listened to the song, right? Then let's give it a shot." I showed her a little smile, just a little so that she won't be creeped out.  She cleared then began singing. At first, she's singing it well, in fact, great, well, this song isn't that hard for a vocal queen herself. But she seems unsatisfied with her work and keeps asking if she can do it all over again.
