The atmosphere wasn’t that great during dinner so Taehee brought some beer outside to make the mood cheerful.

Everyone was drinking while Jisoo was looking for V who had gone missing after the dinner.

Taehee sat beside her and offered her a drink but she politely refused her.

“Are you looking for my brother?” asked Taehee sipping on the beer. “He wouldn’t drink even if he was here now.. he doesn’t like drinking with other people.. and that boy only loves wine.. he’s a healthy freak..”

Jisoo just kept on nodding and smiling listening to her.

“To be honest.. Taehyung told me something about you two.. that guy treated you bad, didn’t he?” Taehee continued. “He was used to being single all his life that he didn’t know how to talk it out with a girl..”

Jisoo felt even more shy because she knew what happened between them.

“I am not taking his side because I’m his sister and I don’t want to cause trouble between those two cousins..” she continued. “But my brother has never liked anyone before you.. I have never heard him raise his voice with anyone either.. I think he got angry like that because he truly liked you.. he must have been hurt because he knew you approached him with a different motive and hated himself because he still fell for you..”

Taehee put the bottle of beer down and held her hands looking at her.

“It was my fault..” said Jisoo. “I know I hurt him.. anyone would be angry if they knew they were tricked.. it was only natural to react that way..”

“Then will you forgive him?” asked Taehee. “Have you forgiven him already?”

Jisoo took a deep breath and could only smile.

“I have heard other people call me names and insult me in front of my face..” she murmured. “But when the person I liked said those hurtful words to me.. I pitied myself even more.. his words woke me up from reality like crazy..”

She had never talked with anyone about it before.

She did tell what happened in that hotel room to her friends but she had never expressed her thoughts about it.

“I’m not telling you this as his sister but just as a woman..” said Taehee patting her head gently. “Don’t close your heart just because of one mistake.. you shouldn’t make any decision when you’re angry.. I know you were hurt because of what he did but regretting everything in the end after he’s gone is even more painful..”

She took her words to her heart. It was the very first advice she had ever received from an older sister.

Taehee went back to sit with the others who were still having their time drinking.

Jisoo looked at her watch and noticed it was already past midnight.

She went inside the house to prepare herself to sleep when she saw V’s room open.

She peeked inside but didn’t see him.

She opened the other rooms just in case but couldn’t find him either.

Then she remembered RM telling her that V always went to the attic by himself whenever he felt like it.

She saw the stairs behind the living room and went up to look for him.

She carefully opened the small door and finally found him.

He was reading a book while lying down on the floor.

He got up abruptly and sat down.

“What are you doing here alone when everyone is having fun?” asked Jisoo closing the door. “Is it that fun to read here? You really are boring..”

She took the book from him and noticed it was his favorite book.

“Why are you reading the same book over and over again?” asked Jisoo throwing it back to him. “I can’t understand intelligent people..”

V closed the book and sat next to her.

“How did you find me here?” asked V looking at her hand. “Did it hurt? You should have been more careful Jisoo.. you’re such a-..”

He looked at her and saw she was staring at his face.

“I feel a lot better seeing you closely now..” said V. “You made me jealous three times today.. you were laughing at him on the train, he hugged you from behind then you held his hand in front of me..”

Jisoo was puzzled. She didn’t know he had seen RM hugging her that afternoon.

V pointed at the window. She moved to see what was outside and immediately got suprised to witness the amazing view from there.

It was the same view she saw after lunch but this time the sky had turned dark and the lights illuminated the city.

“I couldn’t help but see the two of you before..” said V lowering his gaze to the floor. “I wanted to go down and pull you away from him but.. he’s my cousin after all.. and he wasn’t even doing anything wrong..”

Jisoo went closer to him and his hair with her left hand.

“This good boy who can’t even say anything to his cousin is threatening on seducing me..” she said trying to . “Are you back on being your old self now? Did you give up on your new image?”

V lifted her all of a sudden and made her sit on his lap while hugging her tight.

“I haven’t given up yet.. no, I won’t give up..” he whispered to her ears. “I’ll hug you like this so you can make up for making me jealous before..”

Jisoo mistakenly used her right hand to hit him and got hurt.

“Why are you so careless?” asked V putting her down on the carpet. “Let me see it..”

He blew on her hand while Jisoo was just observing him.

She was thinking about what his older sister told her.

She asked herself if she had completely forgiven him or if she was willing to.

But she couldn’t understand her heart yet.

She needed more time to think about it.

V caught her staring at him again and blushed.

“Go back to your room..” he said. “It’s cold here.. I don’t want you to be sick again..”

“And you?” asked Jisoo. “Aren’t you going down to sleep? Let’s go down together..”

V shook his head and took the book again.

“I’m still reading..” he replied. “I will sleep here tonight and go down tomorrow morning..”

Jisoo noticed he had already prepared a blanket and a pillow.

“I also wanted to see the sunrise from here..” V continued. “It’s the best from that window..”

Jisoo took the pillow and lied down.

“I’ll stay here until you finish that book and then we’ll go down together..” she said closing her eyes. “I won’t sleep but just close my eyes for a minute..”

V put the blanket on her and lied down beside her while reading the book.

Only after a few minutes, he could hear her already snoring.

“She must have been tired today” he thought while putting the book away and turning off the lights. 

He covered Jisoo with another blanket and also closed his eyes.

He wanted to hug her while sleeping but he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Although he had been wanting to kiss and touch her, he knew it wasn’t right to do so when she was sleeping. 

Still, he slept well knowing the person he loved was lying down beside him.

He woke up the next morning with Jisoo’s face on his chest while wrapping her arms around him.

He couldn’t help but just smile.

Then he noticed the sun was about to rise from the window.

He woke her up right away.

Jisoo opened her puffy eyes and saw the sunrise in front of her.

She took her phone and captured that moment.

“It’s beautiful” said Jisoo still looking outside the window. “No wonder you wanted to see this..”

“It’s even more beautiful that you’re here with me” said V. 

Jisoo looked at him and just realized she had slept there last night with him.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” she asked kicking him. “You did it on purpose, didn’t you? You have really become a erted professor now..”
