Chapter Twenty Six
The Fate of CheatersThe days that passed, the day today and the days that were about to come where better. And by better, the included me and Jaehyun. He never declared that we were now good but time was needed. We wouldn’t force pieces that were unfitting.
Now here I found myself, admiring Jaehyun’s side view as we walked down the streets of Busan.
Mom actually married again, 6 years after their divorce. Being realistic, my step-father, Mr. Nam, was no evil like the ones, one would see in a Korean drama. Instead he was a simple businessman who originally is from Busan, which explains how we ended up here for New Years, though both of them worked in Seoul which makes their property in Busan as their vacation house.
Mr. Nam also had a son from his first wife, who was 3 years older than me, a fresh graduate who was currently working Mr. Nam’s company and just like his father he was extremely sweet and took care of me like his own little sister.
“Jaehyun! Jinae!” We hear my mom excitedly call us once we reached the house, my mom immediately envelopes Jaehyun into a hug and wonder who did she actually give birth to.
“How can you just hug him first?” I whine at my mom, while the two laugh at me instead. I then see another tall lad, who came running towards us, “Joohyuk oppa!”, I run into him.
“Hi little one!” He caught me and proceeded to greet at Jaehyun, “Wow, look at how tall you’ve gotten, Jae! It’s nice to see you again!” Joohyuk shook his hand and patted his back. I’m already telling you, Everybody likes Jaehyun.

“It’s been a long time, Jisoo!” The shorter lad pats her back and shots a questioning look, noticing the cold tension between the couple.
Taehyung shakes his and heaves a sigh. Jisoo makes her way in first and Jimin takes the time to ask, “Did you guys fight?”.
“A lot lately.”
11:30PM - BUSAN

Despite the chilly weather, nothing stopped me and Jaehyun from roaming outside at the garden till we finally found ourselves at the second floor’s terrace.
