Chapter Twenty Nine
The Fate of CheatersKim Taehyung.
I haven’t seen him for two years already. He had graduated and he was probably working somewhere as a teacher already. I looked at him and he had change a lot. His boyish charms where still present but it was just his permed hair was just dyed into black and the fact that he looked much thinner than before. Taehyung looked tired. His eyes ,well, they looked-- never mind. He stares back at me for long but I do not say anything.
I purposely cleared my throat, looking away to break the tension forming and Taehyung does the same, he looks down to his lap.
I scanned over his laboratory results before I started reading it for him and for my oral test for Dr. Kim, “Your lab results read that you have an acute pancreatitis,” I paused and looked away from him. I proceeded to look at Jongin who was staring back at me with a frown with my sudden pause.
I felt like I couldn’t do this anymore, I already felt bad at Taehyung. I didn’t know exactly what had happened to him after but I felt bad.
JANUARY 2020
“Jisoo and I broke up, Jin. We can be together now. Please come back, Jin.”
This was just two days after New Years, Taehyung had come back again to Seoul during winter break. I was shocked at what did I just heard, I wasn’t expecting this.
Jisoo didn’t deserve this. She didn’t deserve for her heart to broken then have Taehyung running to another woman that fast.
Taehyung didn’t take my words seriously but I really wanted this to end.
“Why did you do that? You shouldn’t have-”
“I let her go. I did it because I love you, Jinae! It would only feel right if I did. Please stay for me.” I heard Taehyung’s cry from the opposite line, he pleaded. My heart clenched but no matter what, even if he did, it would never feel right.
I was stuck with the thought of how he cheated his way towards me then what would not make him not cheat his way out?
"How can I trust you this time, Tae? How do I trust that you won't cheat on me with several girls like you did with Jisoo?" My voice cracked, trying to toughen up.
"I will change, Jinae. You can trust me on this one. I am willing to do
