Seoul High School for the Gifted
"So, what do you like to eat?" ShinYoung asked the little girl in her arms. The entire walk back to the dorms, she was completely silent, just resting her head on ShinYoung's shoulder.
"I-I like cookies." It took a while for Wei to say what was on her mind. The timid little girl initially didn't want to talk and even when she did talk, it was very hesitant, as if she was unsure of whether or not she was doing the right thing by speaking with a complete stranger.
"Oh, really? Then maybe we can bake some when we get to my dorm. You want that?" Wei's eyes immediately brightened up and even the way her body was positioned perked up.
"Yea!" She nodded her head vigorously. It was adorable. She looked like one of those bobble heads on the dashboard of a car when the car was driving over a bumpy road.
"Okay." ShinYoung laughed a bit at Wei's aegyo. She started to feel happy that she agreed to babysit Wei. At least Wei would brighten up her day while she worked with WooHyun.
The two approached the entrance to her dorm and even though ShinYoung's arms felt like jelly from carrying Wei everywhere, she didn't mind. The two were too busy joking around and laughing for her to even notice the pain.
"I love Pororo! You know, my underwear is Pororo!" Wei yelled out for everyone to hear, earning stares from the other students trying to figure out why someone was talking about their Pororo underwear.
"Yah!" ShinYoung scolded, but lightly. "You can't go around telling people what underwear you're wearing." ShinYoung tried hard to make an angry face but she couldn't help but smile and laugh at Wei's innocence.
"Arasseo unni. Mianhae. I didn't know." ShinYoung walked into the dorm to find WooHyun in the exact same position and the dorm in the exact same state that it was a few weeks ago.
Pizza boxes were everywhere along with dirty clothes, game consoles, games, game console wires, and WooHyun made no effort to clean it up. He was just lounging on the sofa, again. Not to mention, ShinYoung's wardrobe had toppled over like last time.
"You're late." WooHyun mumbled when he heard her unlock the door. He didn't even look at her. His eyes were glued to the TV. ShinYoung could see he was watching a music show, probably M! Countdown since it was Wednesday. It was TaeTiSeo performing Twinkle. He was the typical, y fanboy, not that fangirls were any worse.
"Unni, is he your boyfriend?" Wei pouted at ShinYoung and ShinYoung's eyes grew to be as big as golf balls as she set her down on one of the chairs and put her arms up in an x as to say no.
"Ani, ani! He's just my roommate. There's nothing else going on between us." Wei seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and she signaled ShinYoung to come closer to her to tell her a secret.
"Good because that oppa is cute. I want to kiss him." Wei let out a little giggle before getting up off the seat and running up to WooHyun. "Annyeong oppa!"
"Hello." He smiled and put her on his lap. "And what's your name?"
"I'm Wei! And I'm going to be your girlfriend!" He chuckled at her cuteness but Wei crossed her arms across her chest with a frown on her face. "I'm serious! Look!" She leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the lips before jumping off and running around the room. "Hehe! Oppa is mine!"
"Wei! Come back here!" ShinYoung chased the little girl who wouldn't sit back down. She was too excited from the kiss to sit down. Wei ran all throughout the small spaces in the dorm, from the bathroom to WooHyun's room but when she got to ShinYoung's room, she tripped overt the piles of clothes that fell out of the toppled wardrobe. "Ahh!"
"Wei! Are you okay?" ShinYoung immediately went to her side and picked her up, inspecting the little girl's knee which started to turn a light shade of red.
"Ne!" Wei enthusiastically said. She wiggled herself out of ShinYoung's grasp before running back over to WooHyun's side. "Oppa, I fell and got hurt!" She pointed to her knee. "Can you kiss it to make it better?"
"Okay." He laughed before giving her knee a quick kiss. "Better?" She nodded and then proceeded to start running around the room again like a tornado. "Looks like you have competition." WooHyun said to ShinYoung.
"Competition? Competition for what?" ShinYoung asked confused.
"She got to me before you did. She has you beat." He teased.
"I still don't..." Her eyes widened when she realized what he was implying. "I do not like you so stop acting delusional." She walked away from him to try to catch the hyper munchkin. "Wei! Come back here! Wait! Don't touch that!"
CRASH
"Mian!" It was going to be a looong day.

Melody walked into class with her head throbbing. Her headache didn't go away but she just took some painkillers so she was expecting it to at least fade a bit soon.
"You look terrible." JongHyun chuckled when the girl walked into class wearing just jeans and a hoodie with the hood up while clutching onto a thermos filled with chamomile tea.
"Shut up." Melody snapped. Her headache was completely bothering her and she didn't want to have to deal with another annoying bee swarming around her head.
"Fine." JongHyun put his hands up in defense. "Whatever you say Miss Crabby Pants." He to get a laugh but she only responded with a harsh glare.
"Let me get this straight. I do not want to work with you. You are a stupid jerk and the fact that I'm pretty much sick does not make it any better so stop aggravating me." She had her finger accusingly up on his chest. "Freaking idiot."
"Hey." JongHyun snapped back. Again, she spoke in English and him, being lingually impaired caught none of it. Melody gave out a sarcastic scoff before walking to Heo seonsaengnim's office, where they planned to meet.
"Ah, what are you two doing here?" Heo seonsaengnim asked when he saw the duo walk in. He put down the papers that he was grading and put his full attention on the students who were now sitting on the chairs in front of his desk.
"Well, we're sort of having problems agreeing with the arrangement of the songs." JongHyun politely answered. He handed Heo seonsaengnim the music sheets and the teacher skimmed through it quickly.
"This is a really nice song. Who wrote it?" Heo seonsaengnim complimented as he read the music score and the lyrics, giving a nod and smile of approval.
"I did." Melody immediately raised her hand so she could receive the praise of the teacher, giving JongHyun a small smirk. JongHyun sunk back into his chair, making low growl that only he and Melody could hear.
"You have obvious talents in composing. If it was produced it could be a big hit. You should keep working on your talents and I can recommend you to Kim HyungJun seonsaeng's class if you like, but I do see a small problem in the song."
"Really?" A frown replaced itself on Melody's face immediately. JongHyun's ears perked up and he sat up straight, returning Melody's smirk from before.
"Yea, unfortunately, because it is more of a rap song, neither of you can display your vocals. I paired you two up because I thought that your voices complimented each other nicely but if you do a rap song, the scouts won't be able to hear the fullness of them."
"I told you so.: JongHyun muttered under his breath but got a jab in the side back from Melody's elbow followed but a stomp on the foot.
"Shut up." She whispered back.
"Is there any other songs you two could sing?" Heo seonsaengnim tapped his chin with his pen, trying to think of songs from his long list of ideas for them to sing.
"Well, I suggested IU and SeulOng's Nagging or 4Men and Mi's Here I Am but she shot all those songs down." It was JongHyun's turn to glare at Melody.
"I told you. I didn't like them. Nagging is way to cutesy and Here I Am is boring and slow. I'm not singing either of those." Melody wouldn't stop being difficult.
"They are not-"
"If you two won't stop fighting, then I'll have to assign you two a song." Heo seonsaengnim rummaged through one of his drawers and handed them two music sheets. "Here. You two have to sing this song."

"Ahhhhh! Where's my shoe?" MinJung went running all around backstage. She was like hyper bunny jumping from place to place so that she could find her missing shoe.
It was already the day of the "Secret Showcase" and the four, no, five including Aidan, were freaking out backstage because more people came than expected.
The entire week was chaotic. It was filled with late night practice rehearsals, sneaking around campus so none of the teachers could find out they were using the auditorium without teacher consent, and cups and cups and cups of coffee, which they quickly learned was bad to give to Haneul.
"Minnie," Aidan walked backstage to give the five minute mark only to be met with the frantic MinJung. Aidan because the producer of the show. He gave all the cues and organized the lights and effects that would perfectly match the performances. "Shush. People outside can hear you."
"But my shoe is-"
"Calm down." JaeSun came back with a silver wedge in his hand. "You dropped it on the way here. I have no idea how you didn't notice you wear only wearing one shoe but okay." JaeSun gave a chuckle.
"Yes! Thanks Jae oppa! You're a lifesaver!" She went to go give him a quick, friendly hug when Aidan interrupted her.
"Kyu! You're up first! Get on stage! I'm not letting my show be delayed because someone was too lazy to get their up there!" Aidan took complete control of the show.
"Geez." Haneul mumbled. "Since when did Aidan oppa become such a bossy ?" Hanuel joked which induced a couple chuckles from KyuHyun, JaeSun, and MinJung but a glare from Aidan.
"Whatever. Kyu, get your up there now!" KyuHyun snickered a bit before walking up to Aidan face to face and giving him a salute.
"Yes sir!" Aidan looked like he could rip KyuHyun's limbs apart any second but the younger ran away before Aidan could get the chance to, giving a few hearty laughs as well.
Aidan made his way back to the sound booth and opened the curtains, exposing a dark stage. He started the music and the spotlight hit KyuHyun who was faced to the side, his hand on the hat on his head while the other in the pocket of his dark washed jeans. His sports jacket fitted him nicely and moved with him ad he bobbed his head to find the beat. Catching along with it, he began to dance.
The crowd gave a deafening roar but KyuHyun quickly shushed them with a single finger lifted in the air. He had amazing stage presence and knew how exactly to control the audience. It was a talent not learned but known naturally. He had a real charisma on stage. He owned it.
Again, Aidan cued the music, another beat playing in the air. KyuHyun's stage was far from finished. He had so much more in store for the anxious audience. Picking up a microphone that had been placed so perfectly for him at the front of the stage, he lifted it up to his lips and started (<----- click it! :D).

Right at that moment, when the audience though it was all over, a soft, feminine voice could be heard and a small figure could be seen rising up from the trap door on the stage. Haneul's sweet voice was such a contrast from KyuHyun's deeper, husky one but the two together matched perfectly.

The music stopped and KyuHyun disappeared in the shadows of the stage curtain, hidden by the spotlight on Haneul. She was now alone up there when her piece started to play (<-----click it! :D).

She swayed her hips to the rhythm of the music and her long, flowing, white dress swayed with her. The stage turned white except for gold linings on the edges of the stage and white smoke covered the stage floor. Her beige flats made it look as if she was walking barefoot on clouds.

The music stopped and the lights out. It was pitch dark and nothing could be seen at all. It was a brief moment when the lights turned back on but there was no one on stage.
It was JaeSun's turn.
As he descended down from the ceiling on wires, his music started playing and a huge smile was evident on his face like he was feeding off the vibe the audience was giving him.

JaeSun could feel the adrenaline still pumping t through his system. His big note at the end caused him to take deep breaths and, though his chest was heaving, he was smiling.
It wasn't long before the next song played and the smoke cleared up. The lights made the once white stage look a bright yellow with accents of pink, blue, and green.
The audience was expecting JaeSun to start singing again, but instead another voice was heard, a female's voice, however there was no sign of another person on stage.
A commotion was heard in the back and all eyes turned to it. It was MinJung wearing a simple floral dress with those silver wedges that gave her so much trouble, coming in from the entrance to the auditorium towards the front of the stage, singing (<----- click it! :D)

It was the last song and MinJung left the stage to get the others for the curtain call but just as they were about to walk back out, the lights shut off. Aidan had another plan in mind.
The stage was pitch dark except for a single spotlight that shone agains a single stool in the middle of the stage with a microphone stand in front of it. Coming out of the darkness was Jina holding her guitar.
Everyone, well except for Aidan, was shocked. No one knew that she was performing. In all the meeting the performers only knew that they were performing. The audience was equally surprised. They had heard rumors of Jina, and believe me, they weren't positive.
But this time, Jina seemed different. She was smiling. The feeling of being up on stage with everyone watching her do what she was so passionate about took over her and broke down that mask she always wore for those few short moments.
Instead of Aidan cueing the music, he turned up her microphone and she stared strumming (<----- click it! :D).

The song ended and everyone had to admit, it was amazing. The audience was up on their feet applauding all of the performers, even the "surprise" performer. The loudest out of everyone were Shinyoung and Melody sitting right in the front row, cheering their dongsaengs on.
The show ended with a bang, but the most satisfied was not the performers. No, it was the one behind all the stage effects and music. Aidan sat their in the background with a huge smile on his face.
If this was how the "secret" showcase was, how much better would the real one be?

Next chapter is probably going to be the real showcase and possibly other little snippets of their lives. IDK I usually plan this stuff out when I have study hall in school XD.

SCHOOL IS ALMOST FINISHED!!!! I have like two weeks left and then I have finals but guess who doesn't have to take any final because she's exempt??? THIS GIRRRRL! All those sleepless nights paid off :D.
But right now, school is really hactic because it's the end of the year and so many deadlines are coming up. Sigh.
@KimKyuHyun: Oh god. You're like my friend. She get's distracted so easily like she would be talking and then be all like "Ooh a bird!" and then she wouldn't even pick up where she left off because she forget completely what she was talking about.
@Twiillaa: I was thinking about if I ever wanted to teach english in Korea but I decided not to because my real dream is to be a pastry chef.
