Your Scent in the Rain |Minghao sat down before Chen Xi even before she answered. While the girl was too stumped to react, he had already ordered Se-ri to bring him his drink from the other table.
It was definitely a huge sight.
The two brothers stood at the back door exit and stared at their 10th brother's weird actions.
"Who is that girl?" Jun couldn't help but asked, for Hoshi was the one that spent most of his days around her. He would be the one person, the best person to ask.
"I want to know that too," Hoshi answered with a frown. He didn't quite like the attention she was getting from Minghao. Brotherhood aside, if Minghao was anywhere near becoming her romantic interest, Hoshi would be the first to say no. Simply because he found her first, he wasn't going to think that she was girlfriend material.
Chen Xi stared at her drink. Coffee black had never tasted so bitter. She found it hard to swallow with a stranger just sitting before her. She was going to stand up when she heard his voice again.
It sent goosebumps down her arms.
"Are you Hoshi-hyung's wife?" His voice was cool, nonchalant and she choked on her own saliva.
"What?!"
"No?" He asked, but it was clear he was expecting a reply.
She stood up now, speechless, all the while looking at this weird male before her. She turned and saw Hoshi standing there and immediately shot him a puzzled glare. Hoshi shrugged but walked towards them nonetheless.
Knowing her, she was close to getting anxiety and escaping the cafe. He was not prepared to let that happen.
"She's a junior at my university." He replied on behalf of her. Minghao let out an indifferent 'oh' but kept his gaze on his drink
Hoshi bent forward towards Minghao, ignoring the "care-to-explain" look that Chen Xi was shooting out of her wide-opened eyes.
"Interested?" It was a tease and Hoshi wasn't expecting a reply.
"A little."
Hoshi thought he heard wrong.
Minghao looked up from his drink and Hoshi knew that look. It wasn't the look to be messed with. It was the look of seriousness that kind of amazed him. In a battle of strength, neither Hoshi nor Jun was any better than this brother, and truth be told, neither of them was going to display their celestial powers here in the presence of a human being.
