And, here we are at the end of the story almost two years since the conception of Distant Torment. It's seriously been such an insane ride because I started this fic right at the beginning of my senior year of undergrad, and now I'm a (interning) graduate student with one semester left till I graduate. I never thought throughout writing this story I'd meet so many wonderful people who loved and supported this story. When I started writing DT, it wasn't for the attention or for the hope that people would read this fic, it was because I love writing, but the comments on each chapter just made me even more excited to write and post. Without all of you guys reading it (whether it was silently or not), I'd never even would have considered that DT might be something to be published, but now I do. 

Now that DT is completed, I'm going to be working on editing it and changing it into something that I can publish, and hopefully, it'll happen. I'm not getting my hopes up because it's incredibly hard to get something published nowadays, but it's a dream that I will be working towards as I continue writing other projects and working on my career. 

A fun tidbit about the story is that quite a bit of the important parts had been written MONTHS in advance. For example, the club scene in 45 was written in August 2020 (I still have comments that Reya left on the doc lmao) and the whole 'proposal' was written in November 2020. Man, it was so hard to be sitting on these things lmao. The first bonus scene was even written back in March 2021
