Description
Baekhyun sighed as he walked through the gilded hallways of the palace. He hadn’t grown up surrounded by the golden columns, the jade green accents running along the ceiling and floor, and the paintings of the former monarchs of country, but he had grown to love the palace as it were his own in the past seven years of becoming acquainted with the sound of his shoes clicking on the tiles and the peace he felt when he stepped out into the public's eye when announcing something that would help the country. He had grown to adore the palace and the country as though it was his from the very beginning.
Of course, in due time it was supposed to be his own.
Instead, because of a goddamn, old, archaic law, he wanted to throw himself down the stairs, knock himself out or maybe even get amnesia just so he could forget about the whole…marry Rhea bit of the business on the way to becoming King of Artyom.

Hello hello! I'm baaaaaack (hopefully lo) and cue the confetti!
It's been a LONG time since I've written anything substantial and I had this idea about a year ago, which is kind of on brand for when I get ideas and when I actually start working on them. It's a Princess Diaries 2 inspired AU so hopefully you guys like it! I'll be cross posting this on AO3/Tumblr for the Throne of Glass fandom and originally I was planning on finishing it before posting, but if I start posting I actually need to write to keep up with updates so, here we are lol.
As always, I love reading your comments and I always respond, so please drop a comment :) I appreciate upvotes, but obviously, throw them my way as you please lol.
I don't expect to start posting for another few weeks as I do want to get some of the chapters completed since as of now, I only have the prologue and half of chapter 1 done, but keep an eye out soon!
