Finally Home
Falling For Everything That's You
Once, twice, thrice...
We all had been broken once in a while--lose our love, our future, our... ourselves. We all lose something with every time that had passed, either we forgot or it was simply taken away. For Yerin, what she lost was something everyone could have treasured: a promising future, her dream man, her family, a place called 'home'... She had lost all of it the moment she let herself be swayed by the rush of euphoria, of carnal desires driven by alcohol, lust, and love. She supposed that, that it must be why people often add stupidity and foolishness as a description for 'love', simply because we lose all inhibitions and reasons simply to fill the needs of love.
She made a mistake, and that was why she was punished for it.
However, as stupid as it may be (for others at least), Yerin found such punishment as a blessing in disguise instead. Call her an idiot, but she won't care, who wouldn't when you have a boy as charming and kind as her son? Who wouldn't when she was able to make true friends and be the independent woman that could feed herself and her family? Who wouldn't when she was able to find a person so kind and so loving, that someone who would take their precious time just to stay with her and take care of her? Someone who accepted her flaws despite being strangers just a few months before?
Yerin never really imagined it--To wake up in someone's arms, welcoming her with such a pleasant smile, and to feel such comforting warmth just with the way she brushed her locks-- that she'll have someone to rely on after all these years of having to bear all the hardships alone. There was this feeling in her chest that made her motionless, seemingly dysfunctioning at the mere fact that she was sleeping with someone else.
The hum that continued to lulled her made her close her eyes shut, tightening her hold around that small comforting frame. She didn't want it to end, doesn't want to let go, and more importantly, she wants to relish this rare opportunity of being held by a person so dearly, like she was some precious treasure. It was odd for sure, for someone to hold her like this, but... would it be too bad to be greedy once in a while? Yerin hoped not, and so, she continued to snuggle longer, deeper, just till it
