I posted this on twitter already, but here is a snippet/prologue for this story.

Hope this satisfies the shippers before the story actually starts :))

It was getting dark, the parent-teacher meeting took way longer than necessary. Mostly because Chaeyeon had spent the past 3 hours repeatedly trying to explain that her decision to quit her job was because she had no other choice. Whilst cleaning her belongings in her homeroom, Chaeyeon couldn’t help but contemplate her life decisions leading up to this point.

Chaeyeon always thought that her career-path would fill her life with joy, and it did, for awhile. But being a preschool teacher doesn’t exactly pay the bills. Especially not after her parents stopped supporting Chaeyeon when she decided that her dream in life is to teach little kids. Her parents didn’t get it. They wanted her to settle down with a wealthy man and have three kids in the country she was born in.  And all Chaeyeon wanted was to help kids enjoy as much of the responsibilities that had been put on their shoulders at such a young age. She was so sure that this job would fulfil her, that it would give her life at least some meaning. Chaeyeon sighed.
