After 7 Years
INFATUATION"How do you like the job, sunbae?" It was the umpteenth question. Tiffany sat on the front seat, beside Sooyoung who's driving. It's been more than 15 minutes but they haven't had any conversation at all. As a very extrovert person, Tiffany found it so annoying. "Am I not annoying enough for you to start to talk to me? Where are we going?" Later, Sooyoung took a deep breath, gazing at the girl beside her.
"Alright. I do like the job. It pays the bill. We're going to eye this Chinese Canadian actor, Kris Wu. Rumour said he's in Korea to meet his secret girlfriend." Sooyoung looked straight. "Let's find out."
Tiffany didn't response but keep on starring at her that she didn't even know why. It might hard to communicate with Sooyoung, but she eager to try more, to dig deeper about this cold woman. She found it weird that she can't clearly remember when was the last time she felt the same curiousity about somebody. Unexpectedly, Sooyoung looked at her and sent a little smile, making Tiffany's eyes widely open. She just couldn't believe what she just seen. That was the first time Sooyoung ever smiled at her and the moment was... precious. The car stopped.
"Rumour said they have to be around this area. But first... Go down and bring me coffee." Sooyoung handed her some money. "Okay, hoobae?"
"Yah! You smiled at me because you want me to buy coffee for you?" Tiffany look annoyed but going out to buy coffee. She queued for more than 15 minutes until she got 2 cups of iced black coffee for both of them while she looked at this beautiful woman being pulled off quite harsh by a guy with a mask. They went to the quiet hallway right at back of the cafe. Tiffany, surprisingly followed.
'Can we talk about you, using my fame to gain your brand's awareness, Jess?'
'What? Are you insane? I didn't date you for that.'
'Don't lie. You don't love me. I knew it.' He looked intense. 'If it's not about money, how you do it?'
'First. You're not that famous so I have to climb my success stairs through you.' The woman looked extremely angry. "Second. I don't love you because you're overwhelming and I can't stand it. Let's just separate.'
The man looked so angry but decided not take any further action. He opened his mask, tried to say a word that he couldn't afford. Despite whatever he said to the woman, Tiffany could feel how he feel brokenheart by that decision. Tiffany still hid behind the pile of boxes, watching them. Later the man left while the woman looked down and still, angry, instead of crying of losing her boyfriend. Tiffany was accidentally pushed a cardboard full of stuff, her hiding was discovered.
"Oh God... What is this?" The woman looked at her with a fire in her eyes. Tiffany was too scared to look back at the beautiful woman in front of her. Instead, she chose to look down, not knowing what to say or what to do. She know, she should've not followed. "Ah. You work for ThisPatch? What the hell. Well done. Are you spying on us? Are you happy with this?" The woman kept on attacking her after seeing an ID card that she forgot to take it out, until she braved herself to reply.
"I work for ThisPatch but I really didn't follow you for that." Tiffany didn't know if she was a famous person or not as she didn't really recognize lot of Korean's celebrities. "I saw you being pulled by that man. I thought you needed help, so I followed."
"Oh so you're an innocent? What a joke, lad
