‘Jeonghan, are you busy? Can I call you?’

Jeonghan squirmed when he read the message, he had been waiting for hours anyway. Quickly typing a reply and not too long after he sent it, his phone started ringing. He didn’t forget to call Yuchan to come before answering it.

“Hello”

“Umm, hi”

“Wait, let’s just switch to viceo call”

“Okay,” Jeonghan quickly pulled off his hair tie and style it a bit. “Yuchan, look! Who is it?”

“Uncle Cheol!” Yuchan said happily.

“Yuchan, have you eaten?” Seungcheol asked.

“Yes, Didi and I ate samgyupsal earlier. It was sooo yummy.”

“Really? Woaah, uncle’s jealous of you. next time can you please ask uncle to go along with you?”

“Of course, we can go to the restaurant together later!”

“Hey, are you two gonna leave me alone?” Jeonghan pouted that make Yuchan put his arms around the older’s neck immediately.

“Didi come with us too!”

“Give me a kiss then” Jeonghan turned to face Yuchan and giggled happily when Yuchan gave him a little peck on the lips. “I love you, baby.”

“Uhmm, thank you, Didi.”

Jeonghan’s jaw dropped at his response, “hey, where did you learn that? you’re supposed to say I love you too.”

But it was late, Yuchan escaped from him and ran out of the room while poking his tongue at Jeonghan.

“Cute.”

Jeonghan was surprised when he heard another voice came in the room, almost forgetting Seungcheol’s existence who was smiling the whole time watching the heart-warming sight earlier.  “Oh, Seungcheol.”

“Hi, how are you?”

“You asked as if we didn’t talk for months.”

Seungcheol chuckled at his remark. “Just answer it, I need to know if you’re doing fine every single day.”

“I’m good, Seungcheol, perfectly.” Jeonghan said softly, moving to lay on his side. “How about you?”

“Glad to hear that and I’m… fine?”

“Fine?”

“I mean I caught a cold yesterday, but I’m not that sick though”

“Ah, really? Have you take any medicine?” Jeonghan asked, Seungcheol only shrugged his shoulder in return. “Whyyy? I put some medicines in your bag before.”

“I just need to drink a lot of hot water or tea, that would be enough. Don’t worry.”

Jeonghan sighed. “Okay.”

“How’s your job, Jeonghan?”

“Nothing special, I go to work and spend the day the same way everyday. You? Hectic?”

“Mmm, so-so. Attending meeting everyday and then completing the other tasks back in the hotel. Actually I just can’t wait to be back home.”

“Why?”

“I missed Yuchan so much.”

“Sure you do, he missed you too.”

“And you.”

“Wh-what?” Jeonghan’s eyes went wide.

“I missed you too, why’d you look so surprised like that? Don’t you feel the same way?”

“Mmmm, I’m not sure about it though.” Jeonghan said teasing the other.

Jeonghan rushed to do some grocery shopping as soon as his shift was over. Seungcheol’s coming back tonight so he wanted to cook his favorite food for dinner. Jeonghan went to take a bath first and bathe Yuchan, then started working in the kitchen.

“So, uncle is coming home soon, Didi?”

“Yup” Jeonghan put a bowl of grapes in front of Yuchan who was sitting in the dining table, “are you happy about it?”

“I am!!” Yuchan shouted out loud. Jeonghan only smiled in return and started focusing on his cooking. Yuchan left the kitchen right after eating up all the grapes. Jeonghan let him play by himself in the living room but still making sure he could watch after him from afar.

The clock showed 8 pm when Jeonghan finally finished the whole meal. Closing the pan with its lid, Jeonghan wiped his sweat using his sleeve. He walked over the couch where Yuchan was laying down.

“Didi, when will uncle come?”

Jeonghan turned to the younger and pat his head softly. “I thought you’re sleeping.”

“Umm, I’m sleepy but I want to meet uncle first before going to bed.”

“Let’s have a dinner now then once uncle Seungcheol come, you can play with him for a while and go to sleep afterward. How’s that sound?”
