ten.
Autumn LoveSeungcheol just came out of his room after having a long nap. He went to the gym this morning with Mingyu and took a nap as soon as he get back home. He saw Jeonghan was kneeling next to the couch while Yuchan was on it, back facing the older.
“Yuchan, forgive me, hmm? We can go tomorrow if it’s not raining, promise?” he heard Jeonghan said to him almost pleadingly. Seungcheol, who was curious about what happened between the two, slowly walked over them and yawning in the process. Before he could say anything, Jeonghan turned around. Seungcheol only need to lift his eyebrows and Jeonghan could already read his mind. He got on his feet and whispered to Seungcheol’s ear.
Ever since Jeonghan got the job, Yuchan protested saying that they barely have time together anymore. Jeonghan promised the younger to go hang out on Saturday, since he didn’t have to work on Saturday and Sunday. Yuchan was all ready, he only need to put on his shoes left. But Jeonghan was still in the bathroom when the rain came out of the blue. Not only some little drizzles, but it was pouring cats and dogs. So, apparently, Yuchan put the blame on him for taking a long time to getting ready. “I can’t force it to bring him out in this weather, Seungcheol.” A look of guilt was clear on his face.
Seungcheol nodded at his explanation, telling Jeonghan to get a glass of water to calm himself down and that he would like to try to talk with Yuchan. Jeonghan agreed.
“Hey,” Seungcheol put his hand on Yuchan’s arm which the latter responded by shaking it off him. “It’s me, uncle Cheol. Jeonghan isn’t here. Will you look at me?”
There was a brief silence as if Yuchan was thinking hard about the owner of the voice behind him, before he finally turned around. Seungcheol tried his best to put the softest look on his face, seeing the boy’s eyes were watery, nose red. He opened his arms wide, “do you need a hug?”
Yuchan, didn’t need to spare any more time and immediately jumped onto him, tightly wrapping his tiny arms around Seungcheol’s neck and started crying. Seungcheol rubbed his back soothingly as he picked the boy up, swinging their bodies side to side. “May I ask why are you crying? Having a fight with Jeonghan?” Seungcheol asked once the cry has calmed down.
“Didi lied to me. He said we will go out today. He broke his promise.” Yuchan said between sniffles.
“I don’t think he did it on purpose. You know that it’s raining right?”
“It was not before! But Didi was so slow, that’s why the rain came before we can go.”
Jeonghan came back from the kitchen and watched how Seungcheol held Yuchan on one arm while the boy leaning his head on the crook of his neck. They were standing beside the glassed wall and Seungcheol pulled the curtain open, revealing the busy road of the city.
“Look at that,” he started pointing out at the scenery out there with his forefinger, not only gaining Yuchan’s attention but also Jeonghan’s. “The road’s packed with the cars, everyone wants to get home as soon as possible to gather with their family but sadly, they’re stuck out there, under the crying sky. Plus, no matter how eager they are, they can’t drive quicky because the road’s too slippery it’s dangerous. You’ve seen the news about car accidents, right?” Seungcheol took a look on the younger and smiling when he receive a silent nod. “We can never control
