13. New Start!

 

 

Mark opened the door and went inside the apartment. His father is already home sitting at the couch with a cup of tea in his hand. Mr. Tuan saw Mark coming inside the living room, but he chooses to stay silence. While Mrs. Tuan heard sound and came out of the kitchen, she let out a sigh when she saw Mark and slowly getting near her son.

 

 

"Your dad is really mad, go apologise and transfer to a new school...." Mrs. Tuan said to Mark in a low voice, more like a whisper

 

 

Mark went  to sit at the couch with some distance from his father, while his mom went to sit beside Mr. Tuan. None of them said anything, they all just stayed silent.

 

 

"Mark, don't you have something to tell your dad?" Mrs. Tuan finally broke the silence after like 5 minutes

 

 

"I..... I won't transfer to an new school and I will stay at Jackson's place for a while...... I think we all need some time for us self……but just so you know, I won’t ever stop my feelings towards Jinyoung, I will make him mine again……" Mark said bravely, don't know how his parents going to react

 

 

"Yah....Mark Tuan......" Mr. Tuan yelled and was about to stand up, but Mrs. Tuan stopped her husband

 

 

“Yian ah……“ Mrs. Tuan said and was shocked of what her son just had said. Mark always listened to his father and never was he like that

 

 

“I won’t change my mind and I don’t care if you agree with me or not……” Mark said and stands up from the couch and went to his room to pack some clothes

 

 

Mark could hear some yelling from his dad outside and his mom who’s trying to calm his father down. And soon he heard the door opened to his room and Mr. Tuan slapped Mark hard on the face. Mrs. Tuan had his hand covered , shocked over her husband’s action. Mr. Tuan had never once slapped or hit Mark.

 

 

“What are you doing……” Mrs. Tuan shouted and went to her son and caressing the right side of Mark’s cheek that’s already red

 

 

“You’re going to make him yours again? Then don’t ever come home again, I don’t need a bully as my son….” Mr. Tuan said strictly, and Mark was still in silence, he was first shocked over the situation because it was the first time his father had slapped him. But he quickly felt sad and hurt over the words he got from his father. The one always had supported him, the one who accepted him first for being gay, that are now disgusted over him.

 

 

“I’m not a bully even I’m together with Jinyoung…… but fine…...” Mark let out a small and pathetic laugh, then said

 

 

“Yian….” Mrs. Tuan said and looked worried at Mark

 

 

“I won’t come back…...” Mark muttered and took his bag with him. Mrs. Tuan grabbed Mark’s wrist, trying to stop her son from leaveing. Mark turned around and removed his mom’s hand

 

 

“I will call you mom……” Mark said with a sad smile and went out of the apartment, he didn’t saw the tears running from his mom eyes

 

 

Mark took a taxi and called Jackson asking for staying over for a night. When Mark arrived over at Jackson’s place, he told everything to the younger, about what had happened to Jinyoung, and how his dad reacted after finding out about Jinyoung.

 

 

“So, you just ran away from home basically?” Jackson asked and Mark just nodded his head

 

 

“Well you can stay here for tonight and I guess you will stay at Jinyoung’s place tomorrow?” Jackson asked and the elder just nodded his head again as an answer

 

 

“I don’t like that Jinyoung guy as long he’s a bully, but if you like him that much, is up to you what you do……. you didn’t even listened to your dad, so as if you will listen to me, but don’t expect me to accept Jinyoung, I will still hate him even you two are back together…...” Jackson said and stands up from the couch and went to his room

 

 

Mark lied down on the couch and pulled out his phone to send a message to JB asking him to fetch him at Jackson’s place instead

 

 

To: JB

 

I stayed at Jackson’s place tonight, can you come and fetch me up here tomorrow? I will send you the address

Myeong-dong XXX, Seoul

 

 

From: JB

 

Okay, I will be there at 8am

 

 

Mark put down his phone after reading JB’s message, he stared at the ceiling and let out a sigh “I miss you Jinyoungie….” Mark muttered and closed his eyes, letting his tears falling down his cheek

 

 

07:50AM

 

 

JB rang on the doorbell of Jackson’s apartment, but no one answered so JB just keep ringing, he even sent a message to Mark telling him that he has arrived, but the elder didn’t reply. JB was about to call the elder, but then the door opened showing a sleepy Jackson with his eyes closed while rubbing his eyes.

 

 

“It’s Saturday, who disturbing my sleep so early in the morning?” Jackson complained cutely and it made JB let out a chuckle, but quickly put on a cool act again when Jackson opened his eyes to see who it was.

 

 

“It’s Mark here?” JB asked with his cool act as usually and Jackson just nodded his head and letting the elder in, he wasn’t awake to have a discussion of letting him in or not

 

 

“He’s still in the shower….” Jackson said and lied on the couch and cured like a ball with his eyes closed. JB let out a smirk and sat beside the younger while he can hear the shower still goes on

 

 

“You live alone? Where are your parents?” JB asked out of curiosity and stared at the sleepy Jackson

 

 

“They are in Hong Kong, for some business there….” Jackson said and JB just nodded his head, not like Jackson could see since he still had his eyes closed

 

 

It was silence and then Mark came out of the shower “Oh, you’re here already? I will be fast….” Mark said and quickly to pack his bag

 

 

“Yeah, be fast…. I want to go back to sleep so hurry up and leave my place……” Jackson said sleepily while he yawned

 

 

“I’m ready…...” Mark said and JB stands up from the couch to leave, but he then stopped

 

 

“Go back to sleep in the room or you will catch a cold…...” JB said and went out of the apartment, Mark wasn’t sure of what had happened. Did he really witness the cold hearted JB being warmly reminding Jackson not to catch a cold?

 

 

“Are coming or not?” JB shouted from the outside of the apartment and Mark quickly shouted back that he’s coming. The ride to Jinyoung’s place was silent, JB focusing on the road, while Mark looking outside, thinking of how he will take care of Jinyoung

 

 

They arrived at Jinyoung’s place and JB parked the car in front of the main door

 

 

“Give me your phone…...” JB said and Mark just gave him his phone after unlocking it

 

 

“This is the app where you can type, and the phone will read it out for you so you can communicate with Jinyoung. You will stay in the room on the right beside of Jinyoung’s room so you can hear him if he asks for you…...remember you’re mute, so if your talk and he finding out that you’re Mark? Its over for both me and you…...” JB gives back the phone and warned the elder and Mark just nodded his head for understanding

 

 

“Well then, I hope you can take good care of our Nyongie…...” JB said to Mark with a serious tone

 

 

“Your Nyongie? His is mine, my Jinyoungie, not Nyongie…... who gave you the right Lim Jeabum?” Mark thought in is mind

 

 

“Well then I will just leave you here, you can send me messages if it is something you need, but not so sure if I would reply or not……” JB said with a smirk on his face

 

 

“What’s the point of sending you message then if you’re not gonna reply……” Mark said and JB just shrugged of his shoulder

 

 

“Just saying…… the password to the main door and most of the things in Jinyoung’s house is 040993…...” JB said, letting the elder know so he won’t be locked out of the house

 

 

“040993…….040993…….0409……. what? you said 040993?” Mark asked in surprise, he was repeating the password so he would remember it, but it surprised him after repeating a few times

 

 

“Yeah, 040993, why are you so surprised?” JB asked not getting why Mark is so surprised

 

 

“Did he always have this password?” Mark asked without answering the younger’s question

 

 

“Not really, he had his birthday as his password before, but he suddenly changed it to this password few months ago, don’t know why, but to be honest I don’t really care…...it’s his house and his password…….” JB said and Mark nodded his head for understanding

 

 

“He had my birthday as his password…….” Mark thought and a smile landed on his face

 

 

“Are you getting out of my car or not? I want to go home to have some sleep……” JB asked and Mark quickly got out of the younger’s car, but before closing the door he said

 

 

“I will take good care of my Jinyoungie……” Mark said and intentionally pronouncing slowly the words ‘my Jinyoungie’ out of possessiveness and he saw JB let out a small chuckle before he drove away

 

 

Mark pressed the password and the main door unlocked. He put down his bag and went to Jinyoung’s room right away. He wants to meet the younger. He opened the door to Jinyoung’s room and saw the younger on his bed still asleep. The elder went over and on his knees while he is caressing Jinyoung’s cheek

 

 

“Hi, my sleeping beauty…...” Mark muttered and smiled, but then the younger suddenly stirred from his sleep

 

 

“Who is it?” Jinyoung asked, still half asleep and Mark was about to reply, but he suddenly remembered that his mute

 

 

“I asked who it is?” Jinyoung asked again, but more irritated when he didn’t hear any answer

 

 

Mark quickly unlocked his phone and typed in the app to answer Jinyoung’s question

 

 

“I’m the new maid that will stay and take care of you…...” Mark typed, and the app read it out laud

 

 

“Whatever……” Jinyoung said and tried to sit up from sleeping position, Mark quickly tried to help, but the younger pushed the elder’s hand away

 

 

“I don’t need your help…...” Jinyoung said and helped himself up even his both hands hurt

 

 

“What’s your name?” Jinyoung asked out of curiosity and Mark was about to type Mark, but he changed his mind

 

 

“Ben…...” The app read the name Mark had made up

 

 

“Ben? You’re not Korean?” Jinyoung asked, not many Korean would introduce themselves with an English name

 

 

Mark cursed in his mind, why is him so stupid for made up an English name and not Korean when they are in Korea

 

 

“I’m Chinese, but moved here to Korea with my parents so I don’t have a Korean name…...” Mark typed and it wasn’t a 100% lie, even he is from LA, he still had the blood of Taiwan and it was true that he moved here to Korea with his parents

 

 

“Whatever, it’s not like I care…...” Jinyoung started “Ben, don’t think that JB introduced you to me then it would be easy for you, I won’t be nice…... just telling you, so if you wants to quit, you can just leave now…..” Jinyoung said coldly and with a smirk on his face

 

 

“I won’t, I will stay by your side…...” Mark quickly typed on his phone

 

 

“Stay by my side? Yeah really…...” Jinyoung said not believing at what Mark had said
