10. Hurt!

Mark and Jackson had fun, they went to the amusement park and rode all the carousels. Jackson is always funny, and it made Mark forget about Jinyoung. But right after Jackson had left and it remind only Mark in the room, all he had in his mind is Jinyoung, Mark lied in his bed and tears started to fall again, he was scared, scared to get ready for school on Monday. Scared that the gang will bully him, scared that Jinyoung would punch him, scared that they will break up…. or is him scared to lose Jinyoung for good. He didn’t know, but he was scared

“Jackson would protect me, right?” Mark thought and slowly closed his eyes.

Monday came earlier than he expected and like he knew Jinyoung wasn’t outside of his apartment building waiting for him, to fetch him like he usually does. Mark took the bus to the school and the ride felt really long, was it because he already used to ride in Jinyoung’s car? The elder walk slowly toward the school gate and he saw Jinyoung and his gang already waiting for him. Mark saw all of them had a baseball bat in their hands except Jinyoung and it made him gulp. Mark really wish that Jackson was here, but he also knew that he can’t forever lean on Jackson.

“Let’s have a talk babe….” Jinyoung walked to him and said with a smirk and Mark just fallowed after Jinyoung and the gang to a small tunnel that he never knew that exist near this school.

“Did you have a good weekend? Did you have fun?” Jinyoung sat down on one of the big stone there and asked without a smile, not how he usually talk to the elder. Jinyoung always act cute and talk with a bright smile when he is talking to Mark

“Wha….tt…...what d….do you mean, Jinyoung?” Mark standing in front of Jinyoung with the gang around him and asked stuttering

“What I mean?” Jinyoung chuckled and asked after

“Let me ask one more time…. did you have a good weekend with the new guy Jackson? Did you have fun with him? Did you sleep with him? Have fun in yours date?” Jinyoung asked with a smirk, a smirk Mark was scared to see

“I…. I can explain…...I didn’t slee…...” Mark wanted to explain, he didn’t sleep with Jackson, and he didn’t want to lose Jinyoung, but the younger broke his sentence

“Explain? Haha…. are you kidding with me? You think I would listen to a betrayer’s explanation?” Jinyoung stands up and said and laughed hard for Mark’s stupidity

“Jinyoung….” Mark said and tried to hold Jinyoung’s hand, but the younger just yanked it away and grabbed the elder’s collar

“Listen here betrayer…... I never give out second chances, I never listen to bull explanations…. it’s over……get him…...” Jinyoung said and pushed the elder on the floor. He sat down again and stared at his gang beating the life of the elder and it only made him laugh. The laugh is an act, an act that cover his hurt face, deep inside, Jinyoung knew that he’s hurt. Hurt for being betrayed, it felt like his heart is bleeding.

“Jinyoung….no…...wait…. Jinyoung…...” Mark shouted while being beaten, he wants the younger to listen to him, but no, he knew that Jinyoung wouldn’t

“It’s enough, lets go….” Jinyoung shouted and went, he couldn’t stand to see the one he loves getting beaten anymore. He had enough. The members stopped and fallowed after Jinyoung, leaving Mark lying there full of bruises, wounds and blood in his face

Mark didn’t go to class, he just lied there with tears running down his cheek, he cried, he was hurt, not because of the bruises, but because he knew that he just lost Jinyoung for good. Jinyoung, the one, the bully that he felt in love with. Yes, he felt in love for Jinyoung, the care for the elder, the tease, his y and manly voice, laugh made Mark felt hard in love for the younger. And he just lost his love and most likely would get bullied of him in the future.

After don’t know how long, Mark stands up and ready to go home. When he opened the main door to the apartment, he saw his mother in the living room. She didn’t had work today and rested at home. She was surprised to see her son bleeding and full of bruised, she ran toward her son, it hurts to see her son hurt like this.

“Omg, what happened Mark? Did someone beat you at school? Are someone bullying you?” Mark’s mother asked nonstop trying to find out what had happened to her son. She knew that Mark had been bullied in his old school and she is scared that it would happen again.  

Mark didn’t say anything, he felt weak, he doesn’t have any energy left, he just wants to go to his room and have some sleep. Mark ignored all the question his mother was asking and tried to go to his room, but Mrs. Tuan stopped him and held his wrist

“Mark tell me what happened…. I can help, I can call the principle if someone is bullying you at school….” Mrs. Tuan said worried for her son, but Mark just yanked her hand away

“JUST LEAVE ME ALONE…...” Mark shouted at his mother and he can see the hurt face in his mom. But he just wanted some alone time and he doesn’t want the principle to talk to Jinyoung, like there something he can do about it. Mark let out at sigh and slides his hand through his hair of frustration and went to his room afterward. Mark locked the door, so his mom won’t come in and he just went to lie down in his bed.

He pulls out his phone and saw missed call from Jackson, also some messages asking where he had been, but he just ignored them and opened his photo folder in his phone. He went through the photo he had with Jinyoung, the younger likes to take pictures, most of it was of the elder, but Jinyoung would take Mark’s phone to take selfie of them or just of himself when Mark is not aware of it. Mark stared at one of the photo he took of Jinyoung pouting and tears runs down the elder cheek, he misses Jinyoung, he misses the younger, the touch, the care, the kiss, everything, everything of Jinyoung.

The next morning Mark went to take a shower to get ready for school. He didn’t treat his wounds, but he didn’t think of treating it either, he doesn’t care anymore. He wore his usually outfit, but soon realised that he can’t go to school like this anymore. He lost Jinyoung, he also lost the chance to go to school with comfy outfit. Mark changed to school uniform and went to school without saying a word to his mother or eating breakfast, he didn’t have appetite anyway.

Mark went inside the classroom and saw Jinyoung and the gang sitting there laughing about something. People starting to whisper about why Mark wore school uniform. Mark stared at Jinyoung and their eyes met. Jinyoung could see longing and miss in the elder’s eyes, he can also see that he had red eyes, means the elder had cried the night out. He saw that Mark haven’t treated his wounds on his face either. But Jinyoung just looked away and ignoring Mark, continue laughing with the rest of his gang. Jinyoung told himself that, Mark doesn’t love him, he just cried because he got beaten up. Mark let out a sigh and went to sit beside Jackson at back

“What happened to your face? And you’re wearing your uniform? Is it Jinyoung that beat you like this?” Jackson asked worried about his bestfriend

“Just shut up, I don’t want to talk about it…...” Mark said and lied his head on the table, covering his face with his arms, like a pillow

“No matter what, you still have me, buddy…...” Jackson said and patted the elder’s back

If stare can kill, Jinyoung already killed Jackson. Jinyoung is staring angrily at the small interaction Mark had with Jackson. How dare him touching Mark, Jinyoung thought and knitted his fist.

“Calm down, he’s just a betrayer, don’t let him affect you….” JB whispered near Jinyoung ears and it made the younger stare at JB angrily

“Who told you that he affects me…. just shut the up…...” Jinyoung said angrily and JB just shrugged his shoulder

Lunch time came faster than they thought. Jinyoung and his gang was the first one to go out of the classroom to the cafeteria. Jackson also dragged Mark to the cafeteria even the elder said he didn’t have any appetite. When they came to the cafeteria Mark can hear the whispering

“Did Jinyoung dump Mark already?”

“He is wearing school uniform again, he must get kicked out of their gang….”

“Did he cheat on Jinyoung with the new guy?”

“No, I didn’t….” Mark thought after hearing the gossip about him cheating on Jinyoung

“See, he had wounds overall, Jinyoung and the gang must had beat him…...”

“He must have betrayed Jinyoung, that’s why he got beaten…...”

“Yeah I betrayed him……” Mark thought with his heart hurting and let out a sigh

Mark close his eyes, he wants to cover his ears, he doesn’t want to listen to the whispering, the gossip about him and Jinyoung anymore.

“Don’t care about the gossiping and let’s go……” Jackson said and dragged him to the counter to buy some food

Mark stared toward the table he usually sat with Jinyoung and the gang. He saw them sitting there happily eating their food and Mark flashback of how Jinyoung usually feeds him and hugs him, how the younger pulls him up to sit at his lap. Mark miss the younger, he misses Jinyoung’s touch and small kisses. Jackson brought something to eat and they sat at the table near the corner. While Jackson eating his food, Mark just staring toward the gang, more specific, staring at Jinyoung

“Eat something Mark….” Jackson saw what Mark was staring at and he knew that the elder already fell for Jinyoung. He asked Mark to eat something, but the elder just shook his head

“I don’t have any appetite…...” The elder said and continue staring at Jinyoung and it only made Jackson let out a sigh

The lunch break was over, and they were heading to their classroom. On the way back Mark came face to face with Jinyoung and the gang. Jackson dragged Mark behind him, trying to protect him and it made the gang laugh

“Haha…. are your superhero or something?” Yugyeom asked with a tone of making fun of Jackson

“Shall we have some fun, lets beat the life out of them….” BamBam said with a smirk, but before they took action, Jinyoung stopped them

“No need…. It would just dirty our hands…...” Jinyoung said and went past them with the gang, left Mark and Jackson dumbfounded
