Jiyong and Youngbae drove to the apartment. They entered the apartment quietly, in case Daesung happened to be sleeping.

"Hey Ri ri." Jiyong greeted, smiling sweetly.

"Hey Jiyongie. What's Youngbae doing here?" Seungri asked, returning a smile.

"He wanted to check up on Daesung." Jiyong responded.

"Ahh okay. Well he should be in his room. He's awake though, so go ahead and say hi." Seungri said, waving towards Daesung's room.

Youngbae nodded, heading that direction. He gently knocked on the door.

"Hello?" Came the faint voice of Daesung.

"Hi, uh...can I come in?" Youngbae asked.

Daesung's eyes widened, he felt his face flush.

"Y-yea, sure." He answered

Youngbae opened the door.

"How you doing?" He asked, gently.

"I'm alright. Thanks. H-how are you?" Daesung asked, realizing how hard it was to make eye contact with Youngbae.

Youngbae smiled, calmly.

"I'm fine. I just felt the need to...you know, check up on you, see how you're doing." He said.

Daesung nodded.

"Well...thank you. I'm doing good, so far." He replied.

Youngbae nodded, laughing.

"Good. Glad to hear it." He said.

"Well, I guess i-"

Suddenly, his phone started ringing. A look of fear covered his face. He turned pale and gulped, suddenly remembering the important dinner tonight.

"U-uh...excuse me a moment." He said, quietly.

Daesung nodded.

"H-hello?" He muttered.

Daesung furrowed his brows, Youngbae, the man who usually seemed so calm and confident in everything he did, now looked and sounded like that of a scared little boy. This worried Daesung. He wanted to help Youngbae if he could.

"Where the hell are you?!" Demi shrieked.

"I'm just finishing up class. I-i'll be home soo-"

"You better hurry! My parents are almost here!"

"Okay okay! I'm coming." He said quickly, ending the call.

He sighed.

"H-hey...um...is everything okay?" Daesung asked, worried.

Youngbae looked at him, staying quiet for a few minutes.

"Y-yea. Yea. Nothing you need to concern yourself with. I'll see you around." Youngbae said, turning towards the door.

Daesung nodded.

"T-thank you. For...coming to see me. It...it means a lot." Daesung said.

Youngbae managed a sweet smile, before leaving.

Daesung felt his heart skip a beat. As soon as Youngbae left, he ran out into the living room, sighing happily. Jiyong and Seungri laughed.

"What's up?" Seungri asked.

"He just...makes me happy." Daesung muttered.

Jiyong laughed.

"But you guys aren't even dating." He commented.

"Yet!" Daesung protested.

"Dae..." Jiyong started.

Seungri quickly put a hand over Jiyong's mouth, smiling.

"Let him have his moment." Seungri answered.

Youngbae rushed as quick as he could home. He ran in the house.

"Are they here yet?" He said, anxiously.

Demi was pacing back and forth angerily.

"No. But, what the hell are you wearing?! Go get changed. Hurry!" She ordered.

He ran upstairs, quickly changing. He felt shaky and scared. Youngbae's legs felt like lead as he walked down the stairs. Demi had answered the door, meaning her parents had arrived.

"Ah, there you are." She said, sweetly.

"Hello." Youngbae muttered, politely, bowing.

"Hello." Her parents repeated back.

"Well, dinner is ready if you want." Demi said.

Her parents nodded, following her and Youngbae to the dinning room. Youngbae began to sat down.

"Youngbae!" She muttered, loudly.

He looked at her, confused.

"Don't be so rude!" She said, motioning to her parents seats.

He quickly stood up, pulling out her parents and her chair before taking his seat. She kissed his cheek.

"Thank you, honey." She said.

He nodded.

"Of course." He said, quietly.

Throughout the evening, it was a list of endless interegations, small bickering, and complaining. Youngbae was getting fed up with it, but only another hour or so, then her parents would be gone.

"So, what are you in school for?" Her dad asked.

"W-well...actually i-"

"You should be a doctor. Or a minister!" Her mother stated.

He groaned.

"He's going to be a lawyer. Right honey?" Demi said, holding his hand.

"Y-yea!" He said, loudly.

Her parents stared, disappointed.

"But...doctors make so much more money."

"You guys could get a better looking house too. And have kids! Besides, Demi will be a doctor soon enough!" Her father stated.

Youngbae sighed.

"I don't have interest in being a doctor though, sir." He said, slowly.

"Hmph." Her mother groaned.

"W-well we should get going." Her father said.

Youngbae nodded.

"I'll walk you out-"

"No need. Thank you. Nice seeing you again. See in a few months for the wedding." 

Youngbae groaned, frustrated.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Demi asked.

"I don't know how to please your parents." He mumbled.

"They are difficult to please." She said, shrugging.

"That...that's it?" He asked.

"What? It's not like you even try to get alone with them." She stated.

He froze.

"I hate your parents. So, no. I don't try to." He said.

She smacked his face as hard as she could.

"Don't you dare say that!" She yelled.

"They just want what's best for you!" She said.

Youngbae frowned, angerily.

"I don't....I don't think so." He said.

She rolled her eyes

"You are so complicated! You know what Youngbae? Get the hell out of here. Come back when you learn some respect." She said.

He left without saying another word.
