I Don't Like Your Girlfriend

Lucy and Doyeon were walking back to the dorm, carrying dinner for the whole band.   "You know what's weird?" Lucy asked as they walked along. "You've been my girlfriend for a couple of months, but you've never been just my girlfriend, you know? I mean, this is the first time that I can remember that you and I have spent time together just the two of us."   Doyeon thought for a moment. "Yeah, I guess you're right. That is kind of weird. If we weren't carrying everyone's dinner, I'd go spend some time with you right now."   Lucy shifted the box she was carrying. "You don't have to do that," she said. "I was just commenting on the weirdness of our situation."   Doyeon nodded. "I know. But now that youve brought it to my attention, I want to do something about it. Tell you what: How about after dinner I'll take you out for desert?"   Lucy blushed. "You really don't have to do that, but if you're offering, I'm not going to say no."   "Now that I think about it," Doyeon said, as the light changed and they were able to start crossing the street, "that'll mean I'll get a double dose of time with you - desert tonight, and then tomorrow morning we'll have to go running to burn off the extra calories."   Lucy brushed up against Doyeon. "I think you've finally found something that makes me look forward to running."   ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^   Sei looked out the window. "I see them!" she exclaimed. "They're crossing the street and walking up to the dorm!"   Yoojung came up behind Sei and caught her up in hug. "The way you've been watching for them, it's enough to make someone think you were hungry or something!"   "I'm starved!" Sei said, rubbing her stomach as if to emphasize how empty it was. "I didn't have much for breakfast, and then I couldn't eat much at lunch because manager-nim was scrutinizing every bite we ate. This is my first real meal today!"   Just then Sei heard a key rattling in the lock. She rushed over to open the door. "I'm so happy to see you!" she exclaimed.   "I think you're happy to see dinner," Lucy said, leaning over to kiss Sei on the forehead as she passed by.   "Can't I be happy for both?" Sei asked, shutting the door and rushing over to the table.   "Of course you can," Lucy said, putting down the box she was carrying and scooping Sei up in a hug.   After returning Lucy's hug, Sei got impatient to get down and started wiggling her feet. This only served to make Lucy hold her up longer, laughing at the smaller girl's frustration. Finally Sei stopped kicking, resigning herself to her fate. Then she noticed she could almost reach the table, so she started reaching for the food. Realizing she was about to drop Sei, Lucy put her down.   "Well, okay, if you don't want my hugs," Lucy said, pouting.   "I didn't say that!" Sei said. "I'm just starving! You can hug me after dinner!"   "No I can't," Lucy said, looking smug. "After dinner Doyeon's taking me out for desert."   "Ooh! I want to come!" Yoojung said.   "Nope," Doyeon said, putting her arm around Lucy's shoulders. "Tonight's about me spending time with just Lucy. If you want to get some time along with me, you'll have to speak up and wait your turn."   Lua came up behind Yoojung and put her arm around her shoulders. "Good job for speaking up for what you want, Lucy," she said. Leaning down, she kissed Yoojung and said "If you want, you can spend time with me tonight."   "That sounds great," Yoojung said, returning the kiss.   Just then, Rina, Elly, and Suyeon came into the apartment, carrying baskets of laundry. "What sounds great?" Elly asked.   "Doyeon and Lucy are going out for desert after dinner," Sei said, "and Lua and Yoojung are doing something just the two of them. So Suyeon, you want to do something with me?" She smiled hopefully at her leader.   "I'd love to," Suyeon said, shifting her laundry basket to the other hip, "but I promised Elly I'd help her with the choreography tonight - she's having trouble with the transition at the bridge."   "You can hang out with me," Rina said, "I'm just going to be watching Let's Eat 3, but you're welcome to join me."   "Thanks Rina," Sei said, struggling to keep the disappointment she felt out of her voice. "I might do that, or I might just do some reading instead."   Lua looked concernedly at Sei - knowing how much Sei hated to spend time alone, for her to choose to do so was totally out o

Obviously chapter 56 wasn't the last chapter of "I Don't Like Your Girlfriend," and this won't be the last either. I probably *should* stop at some point, but I love this version of the girls too much to let go.

Chapter 64: Ahh, reflecting back on everything that happened in this story actually made me a little emotional- what a perfect way to end everything. I really loved this chapter as well as all of the nods to the previous chapters. The girls went through a lot together and I feel like I was right there with them along the way. Thanks for a great story and a great ride! I hope to see another wonderful series from you again soon :)
