It had been three days since his operation and Junmyeon lay there completely still, his fingers twitching. Yesterday, Yoona had come in and talked to him an attempt to make him say something, do something, anything to find a...response.
But Junmyeon wouldn't budge, being the stubborn kid he was.
His father thought he was depressed. Yoona, his psychiatrist, thought his operation had gone wrong. But Junmyeon's problem was none of the above.
In truth, the boy didn't know how he truly felt after waking up.
There'd been tears in his eyes, and a feeling of loss in his heart, as he searched for security in those around him. But he came back empty handed. His mother was gone, his brother had left him with the burden of carrying the family business, and Yoona, his only friend, was working for his father.
The doctor never talked to him often, only during their meetings. And even when he tried to talk of times before the incident, Yoona would immediately stifle his attempts. He didn't know what he'd done wrong, what he'd done to deserve this misery.
He just wanted someone to comfort him, to tell him that everything was going to be alright; he wanted someone to love him.
His mother, whom the only person he thought had loved him, had turned away from him long ago. It was clear in the Kim household who the loved child was. It was Junhyung. Everything was about Junhyung.
"Junmyeon, look at Junhyung. You should be more like him."

"Close your eyes."
Junmyeon obeyed, letting his lids shut, and his world be taken by the darkness.
Yoona scribbled something down on her notes before continuing. She looked up and proceeded.
"Now Junmyeon. I want you to tell me what you thought of after you operation. The first thing you remembered."
The boy shifted in his chair, squirming as he could feel the terror rising within him. The feeling of rage, disappointment and fear rushed through him.
"I-I...my head hurt."
"Anything else?"
Junmyeon knows he should say something; tell her what he's really thinking. But he doesn't, only shaking his head in response.
Yoona nods, "Okay. We're done for today." She dismisses him.
