Something blooms within Jongdae's chest when he sees Minseok, standing there aloof as always, earbuds in, silently bobbing his head. At first, Jongdae was too chicken to text the other, and had only gotten the boost when Chanyeol stole his phone and made the first move. He was mad at first but then, Minseok had actually replied to him  asking him where he wanted to meet.

Jongdae had been so excited for the weekend to come, waiting on the balls of his feet, literally setting six alarms that morning so he didn't sleep in like he usually did. He'd even gone out and bought new clothes, courtesy of money from his job. He'd taken the extra effort to even shower and sneak into his father's closet to steal some fancy cologne.

BUt, now that he's standing twenty meters away, leaning awkwardly against his car, Jongdae wanted to be anywhere but there. What if he messed up? What if Minseok thought he was weird? Anxiety was crawling its way up and into Jongdae's arms, and he was so nervous.

But, he it up, because if he didn't go now, he knew he would have never made it over there. And he wasn't going to be an , especially since he knew that Minseok was already there, waiting. Cancelling last minute was a and a cowardly move, and Jongdae didn't want to do that to Minseok.

So, up his nerves, Jongdae stalked over and as he was approaching, Minseok's eyes lifted for a second, meeting his. Immediately, the corners of the other's lips tug and Jongdae felt his heart blooming again, beating so loud he thought it was going to burst from his chest. But he loved it, because MInseok had the most astounding smile.

Minseok was dressed nicely, yet it was simplistic and just so Minseok. He wore checkered long pants, with a large belt hanging loose and a plain black shirt tucked in. HIs brunette locks were flowing freely and Jongdae was honestly blown away. How could someone look so good?

Hands tucked into the pockets of his leather pants, JOngdae initiated their first conversation, trying to be confident. However, it blatantly failed. "H-Hey Minseok, you, y-you...uh, y-you look n-nice." Jongdae felt his cheeks going bright red when Minseok pulled out an earphone and chuckled. He grinned, and raised an eyebrow at Jongdae.

"For a handsome guy, you're really awkward you know?" Minseok said, although Jongdae know he wasn't saying it in a mean way. But, Jongdae felt warm that Minseok thought he was handsome. Jongdae absentmindedly let his right hand come to the back of his nape and rub the hot and prickling skin.

"U-Uh thanks?"

"No problem..." It went silent after that and Jongdae had no idea what to say. They'd already discussed what movie they were going to see, and Minseok - if he remembered - was in charge of getting the tickets, although Jongdae promised he'd take the other out to eat something afterwards.

“I guess we should head in now, I got the tickets already.” Minseok held one of them out for Jongdae to take, and he did.

Fumbling with it in his fingers, Jongdae walked beside Minseok. He was so annoyed at himself. But then again, Minseok did say he found him cute, didn’t he…? Jongdae shook his head, he didn’t want think about it. He was on his date with Minseok for god’s sake. They hadn’t established anything at all, but it was a start.

However, oblivious to it all, Minseok had been watching Jongdae out of the corner of his eye as they walked, studying him. In truth, he didn’t really even know the kid. He felt pity, because the kid was too excited for his own good. Heck, he didn’t even know why Jongdae had even noticed him in the first place. He’d been watching from afar, yes, that was his job and always had been.

But now that he knew about Jongdae’s little boy crush, it was an opportunity to get closer, and maybe join the friend group. THey were currently seated in the movie and MInsoek didn’t miss the fact that Jongdae seemed nervous. So, reaching out and taking the other’s hand in his, he whispered in a low voice, “You don’t have to be scared Dae, I like you okay? Why else would I ask you out?”

Jongdae was stunned, looking down at their intwined hands. He was silent, unmoving and so Minseok moved his thumb in a calming motion over the back of the other’s hand and asked, “This is okay with you right?” He nodded towards their linke limbs and Jongdae nodded numbly.
