Kris was towering over Sungyu, ready to land a kick, a punch--anything--just to hurt Sungyu. But then he felt arms snaking around his own, caging him. He yells at Sungyu, struggling against the limbs that hold him captive. 

"How dare you! How dare you call him that!" Kris seethes, kicking. "What did he ever do to you?!" Sungyu scowls at him, standing and he advances, looking like madness itself. But before he can even touch Kris, Chanyeol comes from behind, holding him. 

Kris locks eyes with his friend, who looks highly confused and disappointed. Sungyu cranes his head and spits at Chanyeol, "Let go of me!" 

"Not until you calm down and stop making a scene!" However Sungyu only yanks himself from the other and pounces on Kris, and the latter feels his arms being released. He finds himself on the floor, Sungyu on top of him. 

The world goes sideways and pain shoots through his jaw, and he only then registers that Sungyu has hit him. "I don't expect any better from someone like you--" Another punch, "but I didn't realize that you were so low as to hook up with an outcast!" 

His jaw is throbbing, but Kris doesn't care. A teared yell comes from him and knees Sungyu in the back, and the other loses his hold. Quickly, Kris pushes the other off of him. "Shut up! Don't you dare call him that!" Kris is on top of him, and Sungyu is grinning manically. 

"Why?" He says, words cutting into Kris like a knife. "Because he's your little ?" That does it. All gears stop in Kris' head as the pent up anger bursts, just a can of beer after shaking it, the liquid being all of Kris' self control. The final layer of human in him is ripped to shreds as Kris lunges, punching Sungyu everywhere and anywhere. 

A crowd has gathered around them, and Chanyeol is trying to stop them, Jongdae by his side--but all attempts are useless. Kris feels a fire he has never felt before. Sungyu lays there useless as Kris pounds at his face. Nothing, nothing can stop him now, nothing--

"Kris." A soft hand settles on his shoulder, and he halts, recognizing that voice. 

That voice. 

His arms goes still and cranes his head towards the soft and gentle voice. Junmyeon is crouching beside him, fear in his eyes and in a nother shaky voice, barely above a whisper he says. "Kris..."

It is silent for a moment before someone--a teacher--shouts. 

And that's when Kris realizes how much he's really in.

He finds the situation a bit of a deja voo, except it is Sungyu sitting beside him holding an ice pack to the side of his not so pretty face, not Junmyeon. Somehow, selfishly, he wishes that it was Junmyeon sitting beside him instead; he wouldn't be feeling so on edge if it was the latter. Mr Kang looks dejected tired and absoloutely done with everything. Kris doesn't blame him. 

If he had to deal with kids like Sungyu everyday, he'd surely kill himself.

He takes to looking at his fingers dwindling whislt waiting for Mr Kang to speak. After a long heaved sigh, the headmater utters, "What exactly were you two thinking?" 

Both Kris and Sungyu answer

"Sir it wasn't--" 

Mr Kang silences them, slamming his palm on the table. He turns to Sungyu and asks, "You first." Sungyu sends a somewhat smug look at Kris before he starts. "I was only talking to Junmyeon and then all of a sudden he punches me--"

"--that is not true--" Kris intervenes, only to be cut off by Mr Kang.

"--Wu!" Kris sits back, furious and he folds his arms. "You will get your turn. Now, go on."

"Anyway, he punches me and pins me on the floor and then goes at me like I've done something
