Your paws padded heavily on the quiet forest floor, the sound of breaking twigs startled you making you run faster. Adrenaline pumping through your veins you were not thinking properly, you’d reached the edge of the forest stepping onto human territory. The elk you were chasing ran into enemy territory, you tried to get it quietly as it was on the verge of death, you were caught by another wolf, an alpha. The large brownie grey wolf chased after you, baring its fanglike teeth.

You knew you were going to die either way, you limped towards a human’s house, laying on the snow-covered porch. It was mid-day, your amber eyes looking towards the sun. The white featherlike fur, once clean now stained with your own blood. Your eye lids grew heavy from exhaustion, your panting breaths causing you to fall asleep on the human’s side of the forest.

You woke up to see a small human girl, her slightly chubby features and ebony hair coming into view. Your pale yellow eyes made contact with her hazel orbs.
