You moved to Seoul 2 months ago for your job as a fashion designer, it was only a part time job so they called you whenever they needed you. Your mother was Korean and always wanted you to visit her home city. You grew up in the states with your dad being American. You were walking up the stairs in the train station both headphones in your ears making your way into the SM building. Since you were from the states you were better at English than Korean, but you had learnt Korean from the age of 15 so 10 years on and off could get you through a conversation with only a few words you didn’t know.

“I know you” where the first words you heard as you took your headphones out your ears.
“M-me” you stuttered looking at the idol in front of you. You recognised her as Ailee.
“Yeah you do covers on YouTube, uhm (y/n) isn’t it” you didn’t think she would recognise you. You had around a million subscribers on YouTube doing covers of Korean songs in both Korean and English.
“Ye- yes that’s me, you watched my videos” you hadn’t uploaded in a while since you moved to Korea but planned to sometime this week

“Yeah silly, I loved your cover of my song insane” you knew in that video you had introduced yourself as a huge fan of Ailee hoping to one day meet her. You blushed knowing she knew you were a fan and that you liked her a lot.
“Thank you Ailee”.

That was your awkward meeting with the idol you learned to love for who she was behind the scenes.

“Hi everyone, I’m back doing a cover of Dasoni’s Goodbye (EXID’s subunit), I’ve got a very special guest who I met living in Korea, you probably all know who it is already by reading the title but I’ll introduce her anyway. Everyone this is Ailee” you said to the camera in your makeshift music studio.
“HI everyone it’s so nice to be here and sing with (y/n), I hope you all appreciate her hard work and love this song”.
“Let’s start” you said getting the microphone ready beginning the song.
